Yet another new thread, because just like all the remaining posters the old one is about to go pop.

Mossie - don't forget about putting the important task of videoing Dr who in your birth plan..... eg,

Please note should I be in labour at 7.00pm on a Saturday night, please phone SIL on 01** and ask her to video Dr who

Will try and put a picture up of Amos later. Eids/madhide yours are lovely.

muppethasakitten · 28/03/2007 12:16

I'm 5'10" and i believe he's more like 5'7"... but as you say... lying down it would be fine!

Mossie · 28/03/2007 12:20

Lol Laidback, I didn't think of that. Omg, my birth plan's in my packed hospital bag... I'll have to go and get it out!

Muppet... put some heels on and he'll get a lovely norks' eye view!

foxcub · 28/03/2007 12:35

Kitty - I don't want a manly Dr, I want one I could sit on so he couldn't escape!

Chocolatepenny · 28/03/2007 12:51

Hi all
just wanted to say I gave birth to Little Ted (Edward McAdam) yesterday at 4.10, Yes those pains were labours pains on sunday !
Hes 7lbs 6ozs and has slept soundly on and off since 1am this morning.
Ive just got home! the birth was grueling as Id did'nt get seen until I was almost fully dialated and in mega pain but too late for anything but gas and air. 3 hours of pushing brought Teddy into the world. Will post a picture v soon.
Come on you March Girls!!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 28/03/2007 12:52

LOL if I sat on anyone atm I'd kill them instantly

It now takes dp and my 2 sons to pull me off the floor. Jeez, I feel so sorry for them, thry'll all have hernias soon.
DP would claim that he could do it all by himself, but i think he's worried about injuring himself too badly and not being able to play footy on maonday evenings .

Trout and courgettes for lunch today, yum, yum

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 28/03/2007 12:54

Horray, chocpenny, very well done. 3 hours of pushing? You poor thing .

So, Runningal has disappeared. Mossy, looks like it's you and me, we knew it would be didn't we?

muppethasakitten · 28/03/2007 12:55

OOOhhhh - then there were 4!

Congrats to chocpenny! What do you mean you didn't get seen til almost fully dilated? Was the rsch really that busy after all! Blimey! Love the name... and the fact you've shortened it to Ted - that was one of our shortlisted ones! What midwife did you get there?

foxcub · 28/03/2007 12:55

Choccy - wow congratulations on your beautiful boy!!

Kitty - R U at "fat maggot" stage now then? Courgettes and trout sound delish!

Mossie · 28/03/2007 12:56

Chocolatepenny congratulations! Little Ted sounds lovely. Are you going to put some photos up soon?

Kitty don't forget Lunar! She must be paranoid now, I forgot her in the list of waiting ladies last time! Poor woman she'll get a complex!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 28/03/2007 13:02

Poor Lunar, why does everyone think she's already given birth ???

SORRY LUNAR xxxxxxxx, but I bet you you'll beat me and Mossy anyways!!!!!

Oh yes Foxy, I am well and truly a fat maggot now

Mossie · 28/03/2007 13:50

Poor Lunar if only her employers would think she had given birth!

Kitty I am fat now. Not just pregnancy-plump; I can use that to excuse the belly, boobs and even bum, but not this double chin that's sprung up from out of nowhere!

Still a craving for full-fat milk hasn't helped!

LunarSea · 28/03/2007 13:56

Hi - still here, still nothing happening. Have you heard that somewhere before?

Have just been to aquanatal class to see if we can persuade junior to get a move on, and am about to have some pineapple for lunch, then going for a drive over some speedbumps this afternoon. Had curry last night - what else have I left out?

sugarrush · 28/03/2007 14:07

hi girls. have been hopeless posting messages since i joined but really enjoyed reading some of your conversations. maybe il be better on the postnatal threads if i ever get that far! my due date is tomorrow and have just recieved a text from someone in my parent craft class who was due 4 days after me, that shes had the baby!! without sounding bitter, i am well pissed off! its never coming out, i know it!

Mossie · 28/03/2007 14:07

Sex
Nipple stim
Evening primrose capsules (orally and vaginally)
Clary Sage Oil
Long walks
I suppose there is Castor Oil if you're desparate but it sounds a bit scary to me!!!

Mossie · 28/03/2007 14:09

X posts Sugarrush ... yay then there were four! (Again). Well there could be five, but Runningal's been two days now I think...

sugarrush · 28/03/2007 14:16

the castor oil thing?

Mossie · 28/03/2007 14:24

Yes apparently castor oil has traditionally been used to kick start labour. But I've also heard some pretty scary stuff about it too, mainly from mil actually, who used it with sil. She said it did work, but sil came so quickly that the mw forgot to check her placenta was all out, and she ended up with a retained placenta that nearly killed her!

Enough to put me off trying it anyway!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 28/03/2007 15:06

Primrose capsules up your fanny!!!??? Never heard of that one

I've been mostly pushing round pea shingle with a giant broom this afternoon.
It's given me back ache and an urge to get punchy on a thread somewhere!!

Mossie · 28/03/2007 15:09

Seriously!! I read it on gentlebirth.org or whatever that web site is. And if it's on the internet then why it must be true!

Go on, Kitty, go and kick off on a controversial thread somewhere! I'll kick back with a coffee and some popcorn and watch [cowardly emoticon]!!!

What is pea shingle?

TheBlonde · 28/03/2007 15:10

Hi, just popping on to say hi to you ladies who are waiting.

And congrats to ChocolatePenny

Mossie · 28/03/2007 15:11

The Blonde have you picked a name yet?

Mossie · 28/03/2007 15:32

Kitty ... you put ideas into my head, you know that?

I've just written and re-written a post about ten times on a thread about pet poo...

... and now I'm going to go to the shops before it kicks off. I'm such a coward!

Rosylily · 28/03/2007 15:39

CONGRATULATIONS! to chocolatepenny, That seemed quick! Not the pushing bit though well done, cute name too.

Mossie · 28/03/2007 16:26

Well, I went to the Spar. Up a hill. Came back. Feel knackered and exhausted and therefore decided I couldn't keep my big mouth shut any more on the anti-cat thread.

I've a bad feeling about this.

I might go away and start getting tea on.

Or I could stay and fight... might bring on labour!!
