dangle I just googled reassurance/viability scans on google for my area and one of the clinics had 50% off, so feels like a bargain.

It's quite expensive Harmony isn't it rabbit? I think it is maybe worth the money if you are particularly worried about chromosomal abnormalities or at a higher risk due to maternal age, etc. Or if you are desperate to find out the gender.

We will just be waiting for the normal NHS cub screening to check everything is ok.

rabbitstail · 17/05/2017 19:22

I think it's my age that's making me worry about things, I'll have a chat with hubby and decide within the next t few days.

How is everyone getting on? Any irritating symptoms or cravings yet?!

dangle90 · 17/05/2017 20:46

Had a look for a scan can't see anything really in my area.
I've been good today, just hard boobs 😂! How are you guys. I have my midwife appt Friday seems so soon!

That's exciting getting your midwife booking appointment. Is your OH going with you?

I'm going to wait until I'm seven weeks before I refer myself.

I'm still feeling pretty good. Will be 6 weeks tomorrow so expecting nausea to hit next week 🙈

dangle90 · 20/05/2017 08:48

Yeah he came with me, it took over an hour, lots of questions. And I was mortified to be classed as obese according to my bmi. I'm 79kg and a size 14, the midwife was shocked too tbh.

Why are you waiting until 7 weeks to refer? Just so the wait doesn't seem so long after? X

Hi, could I join? I'm 3 days late with 2 cheap tests showing faint lines and feeling quite shocked it might actually have happened. It will be first pregnancy and the app says due date would be 25th January if I'm not imagining things. SmileWill get a better quality digital test to be sure.

Rosehyd2 · 20/05/2017 09:45

I'd love to join in too please, I'm 5+1 today. During my week 4 I had lots of achy cramps but as soon as I hit wk5 yesterday I haven't had them.
No sickness yet but I felt a bit queasy this morning so I went back to bed Grin
I have my GP appointment on 31May and will be booking a private scan for around 8 weeks. Some of you have found it so cheap, it's £140 here.

rabbitstail · 20/05/2017 10:24

Good morning and congratulations Bumblebee and Rose! Nice to see some newbies here, have you calculated your due date yet? I'm the 7th Jan, I've had an early scan due to spotting and cramps but all was well. It was nice to get the reassurance as it's easy to get neurotic in the early months!

Rosehyd2 · 20/05/2017 11:16

Thanks rabbitstail, Ive calculated I'm due 21 Jan so a couple weeks after you.
Glad to hear all was well with you, I'm not sure how I could wait 12 weeks without a reassurance scan. I'm the most impatient person anyway Blush

dangle90 · 20/05/2017 11:56

Congrats rose and bumble Flowers

That's how I felt! i read somewhere on another thread that some places don't offer the dating scan...imagine waiting until you are 20wks?!!

JB1983 · 20/05/2017 15:16

Welcome rosey and bumblebee! I'm the same rosey have booked a 8 week scan because I'm just too impatient 🙈. I'm 33 and expecting my first baby on the 12th januray. Still feeling pretty good at the moment (6+1 today)!

dangle glad your booking went ok, I don't think BMI is always a good indicator as it doesn't take in to account the build of people. At least the midwife was shocked too.
I'm waiting to refer as I don't want an appointment too soon because my work will find out once I get bloods taken, so would like to hold off another couple of weeks.

Iamchanging · 20/05/2017 16:17

Hi ladies,
Could I join in please? I'm cautiously expecting my first on the 26th Jan. It's taken us a long while to get here so I am utterly petrified of something going wrong if I'm honest. I'm having cramps at the moment but I've been having them since about 8DPO which is odd, however my CB test is showing a nice 2-3 weeks so everything is on track so far!

Rosehyd2 · 20/05/2017 20:40

rabbitstail wow I definitely couldn't wait until 20 weeks.
JB I'm feeling pretty good too, just tired but that could be due to general life. Let's hope the good feeling lasts for us both Smile

Userloser · 20/05/2017 20:41

Am I joining you someone tell me? Confused

First baby due Jan 2018!
Iamchanging · 20/05/2017 20:43

That's a clear positive to me user - congratulations!

rabbitstail · 20/05/2017 20:56

That's a positive Userloser! Congratulations x

Fredthefrog · 21/05/2017 09:53

Just posted on the other thread but it has been going for a while so thought I'd post here as well. Due about the 20th of Jan and have been having lots of cramps last week.
Feels very surreal

Iamchanging · 21/05/2017 09:57

Well I'm sat in hospital after such severe cramps they made me throw up. I've been having moderate cramps on and off but got woken up at 6.30 by such pain that I almost fainted. I'm only 4+2 and worried sick

BumbleBee1982 · 21/05/2017 17:14

Iamchanging sorry to hear that- are you still in hospital? I hope you're doing ok?

JB1983 · 21/05/2017 18:04

Hope you are ok Iamchanging? Let us know how you get on.

Looks positive to me user, congratulations.

Iamchanging · 21/05/2017 18:13

Thanks both,
Back home now after having a load of tests. Long and the short of it is they don't know! It's too early to have a scan but my bloods look good and I'm back again in 2 days to see if my HCG doubles. No bleeding either. I've just never felt pain like it, was really scary.

rabbitstail · 21/05/2017 18:37

Hey Lamchanging, sorry to hear your having problems. It's so very scary when you have pain and/or spotting isn't it? pain and cramping is common in the early stages, often accompanied by spotting so don't panic. I had this last week and I'm still spotting now. The pain was quiet bad at one point but when I had a scan at 6wks everything was fine. They told me that it was probably an implant bleed. Take it easy x

Welcome Fred and congratulations!

How is everyone? Glad your booking went well dangle. The whole bmi thing is just terrible. My 5yr old came home from school recently having had her weight and height done only to be told that her bmi is high...she's 5!!!

How are you hanging on JB? Have you booked your booking apt yet?

All well here, still spotting off and on. I had a bit of a scare the other day...I had bright red wee (sorry tmi!) and was really worried until I remembered I'd had beetroot soup for lunch...!!!

dangle90 · 21/05/2017 21:12

Hope everything's okay I am hanging.
Welcome Fred, and congrats!
Rabbits that's awful that your 5 year old got told that! I felt bad enough and I'm an adult!!! Yeah I'm going to try take it with a pinch of salt I know I need to loose weight but I don't feel it's enough to put me in the obese category.
We're in Dubrovnik now, still finding I need to eat when I'm hungry or I feel like I'm going to pass out, also hardly any of my holiday clothes are fitting nicely, I know I'm only 7wk so too early to show must be bloated or something :/

dangle90 · 21/05/2017 21:12

Ps rabbit, glad it was only beetroot wee and nothing else!
