Katy - choose food, say it aloud its 'chews' food!

Ellie cant stop!!! Got to 82 but just cant do it quick enough.

For future reference ladies never introduce me to impossible quizes etc, I have very addictive tendencies and become totally obsessed!

Sorry havent caught up at all

But happy birthday 1b3 Think you should pretend sat is your birthday and make sure your dh pampers you all day, you definitely deserve it

CaptainDippy · 15/03/2007 22:41

Glad I am not the only one feeling spaced and woozy - not that I would wish my yuksome symptoms on anyone else; but it is good to know I am no alone!

I am off to bed now, but just thought I would pop in here quickly and say "Good Night" to my favourite bunch of preggy ladies!! Night, Night....

muminabigtumi · 16/03/2007 07:40

Morning all

Thought I would post quickly before I go..I will really miss everyone!!

Got to try and clean my filthy raisin encrusted car interior this morning before it is fit for any passengers...Phil has tutored me in the SatNat but I just KNOW I'm gonna get lost!

Bag is packed and I have popped my hospital notes in there "just in case"...

Can't tell you how much I am looking forward to this weekend - just to be "me" and not "mummy" or "wife" for two whole days in the company of 20 wonderful friends will be heaven!

Hope everyones wooziness is better today - I hate that feeling of not being able to take a proper breath in and climbing up the stairs leaves me gasping so I fully sympathise.

My midwife reckons my planned section will be on 16th April so I guess that means that this time next month I'll be waking up excited for a whole different reason! I really can't beleive how close we are al getting now....but please no babies just YET!!! (especially not mine this weekend!!!)

Have a great weekend girls
xxxx

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 16/03/2007 07:59

Morning all.

MIABT, have a wonderful weekend. I am very envious !! I so need a break from things, as I am getting quite bored of everything!

Knackered again today. Dh had to be up at 3.30 to get a flight to France, took me an age to get back to sleep, and then Becky came in at 6.00 as she had bloody wet the bed AGAIN! So, up and trying to change the bed with bump in the way. Needless to say neither of us went back to sleep after that, so I now feel awful.

I am at the end of my tether with it all tbh and wish we hadn't embarked on this nappy free night thing, but I don't want to go back either iyswim.

Sorry for the rant first thing, but I am feeling pretty peed off at the mo.

Last day at work though today, and donuts left from yesterday to get through, so can't all be bad!

Anyway, hope everyone is ok. Have a lovely Friday, and catch up later. xx

twinkle183 · 16/03/2007 08:04

Morning all!!

Sorry - I haven't been around lately been helping my mum out looking after my disable sister and brother as she has been ill!! Seems like ages ago that I posted...

So thought I would pop in for an update on how everyone is going!!! I am 37 wks tomorrow and not even sign of an type of contraction the only thing that I am having is tightness every now and then!!

First day of maternity leave and I find out that I don't have a job to go back to - they made me redundant - I quite liked my job - good news is that they have to pay my maternity leave until December then I am on my own????

Hope everyone is well? Any sign of any babies?

Take care

twinkle183

Eddas · 16/03/2007 08:12

SOSPL, poor you and B. Bet she hates it too. I have to say i would put her back in a nappy for my own sanity and sleep. But i haven't even tried dd with dry nights so i shouldn't really comment! DD is now waking every morning at 6.30 and not her old usual 7/7.30. Oh accept of course the only day this week i had to get up when she came in a 7.15, typical!!!

MIABT, at the weekend, have fun! Must be nice to have a date to look forward to, my Dad's bday is 16th April! Mine better be out by then as that'll mean its 2 weeks late and that is a very depressing thought!!

Got to do the dreaded Tesco run whilst dd is at preschool, i can't wait!!!!!

Eddas · 16/03/2007 08:13

Hi Twinkle, bad news about the job but at least you'll have 9 months to find a knew one

maveta · 16/03/2007 08:14

Wow twinkle, that must have been quite a shock? Good that you have until December I guess but a bit off that they didn´t warn you before??

I am still quietly resenting my boss for not offering me any maternity leave and spend a lot of my time having imaginary conversations with her. Think I will speak to her about it soon, if nothing else but to get it off my chest. Especially as I know she´s worried about how she and the company are going to cope without me and I KNOW I can count on them all calling me regularly to explain where this is and how you do that..

SOSPL - aaaaargh re. wet bed. You are being very patient indeed and probably right re. not going backwards now but that has to be really hard to stick to at times.. hope it sorts itself out soon hun.

octopussyintummy · 16/03/2007 08:16

Quick good morning post! Have only skim read to see if we have any babaies

With lambskins - they keep your baby cool in the summer and warm in the winter - I have a winganna fleece from Lollipop (obviously!) - 01736 799512 or try any of the decent baby websites like makesachange, little green earthlets, john lewis .... I paid £45 for mine - Winganna use less chemicals in their tanning process than the others - ebay will probably have them too!

Busy morning then out for lunch with dh ...

Catch up later

runnyhabbit · 16/03/2007 08:19

hi everyone

miabt - have a lovely weekend

twinkle - pita about redundancy

My morning started off fantastic (me and dh both fancied a bit of nookie at the same time sorry tmi ) and ds was still fast asleep. But since dh has gone to work (local today) ds has felt like a pita. Not wanting to leave my side, wouldn't walk up the stairs, even cried because I went to the toilet. I'm ashamed to say I have already shouted at him He's now crying because I won't pick him up.

Got to go.....

claricebean · 16/03/2007 09:24

Poor you, RH. It's annoying when they're like that, isn't it. Hope he's not coming down with something nasty.

MIABT - v

SOSPL - well done on the nappy free night perseverance.

Hi everyone else. Memory - sieve - you know.

Beautiful day here. Piles haven't 'released' yet, so walking possible at the mo(tmi, i know !!)

claricebean · 16/03/2007 09:35

Oops, just re -read last post. RH, I didn't mean something nasty as in making him really ill . Just a horrid cold for you both to deal with (as 2 of mine have at the mo).

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 16/03/2007 09:58

Hello!

Twinkle, what a pain about the redundancy. Hope you are feeling ok about it.

Runny, sorry ds is being a pita.

Becky is being a bit trying at the moment, and I too have already shouted this morning. She was refusing to have her hair brushed and running off. It is so incredibly tangled which doesn't help with the head lice control, and I just lost it. I apologised and she said "that's ok mummy"!

I hate shouting, but sometimes it is the only thing that works.

Eddas, hope the Tesco run is ok. I do mine on-line, but like an airhead, missed loads of stuff off this week, so am going to have to fight the crowds a bit later on to get the missing bits!

Liath had a show didn't she the other day and I haven't seen her on here for a few days ......!!

runnyhabbit · 16/03/2007 10:27

cb - don't worry, I know what you mean.

I think I should get the "Bad Mummy" award Ds was hungry. He usually has cereal and then yogurt or toast, but I completely forgot about the yogurt/toast He is now quite happily watching Cbeebies while his mummy has a breakdown upstairs.

My mum must be psychic - she just rang to say both her and my dad are off today, and if I need a break, they will take ds for the day. Might take her up on the offer - at least he'll get fed on time

runnyhabbit · 16/03/2007 10:31

if I'm like this now with 1, what will I be like with 2?

CaptainDippy · 16/03/2007 10:33

My DD was a PITA before pre-school today - running off and not doing as she is told etc - DH shouted at her, not me though (I am not a very shouty person); but she had screaming hab-dabs at least three times between 8 and 9 this morning - Total sympathy with you too runny - my two often won't even let me go to the loo or nip upstairs without having a complete melt down - gets v.wearing!! Hope your day get better - and you too SOSPL - Hope you get some kind of rest ...

Arse to the redundancy twinkle - sorry to hear that - great to have you back - Hope your mum is heaps better, must be v.tough when she is poorly - she sounds amazing!!

You SHOULD speak to your boss asap about ML maveta - go for it girl!!

Wish I could get some cash from the government; but not entitled to anything .... sniff .....

Don't forget - my lovely shop sells fab lambskins if anyone is interested - I get a good discount and owuld be too expensive to post ..... ??

Soooo of MIABT going away - hope she has a glorious time!!

How are you WCL?? Any more progress??

My friend who had a little girl on 13th STILL hasn't named her - soooo wanna know her name!!

We've decided we're going to the local Birthing Centre instead of having a Homebirth - had a big chat with DH last night and this morning and he explained his reservations etc - and said how much he loves the "bringing the baby home bit" and I can see his point - I would like a homebirth; but DH feelings are v.important too - so I am happy to compromise, bless him. Definitely NOT going to hospital if I can help though!!!!!!! Grrrrr!

Right, stuff to do ......

Ooooh, DD2 went down for nap - no fuss again - yippee!

CaptainDippy · 16/03/2007 10:34

Good grief runny - that doesn't make you a bad mummy AT ALL - you forgot one little thing - big deal - don't beat yourself up about it - You are a fab mummy sweetheart - believe it!! [hugs]

CaptainDippy · 16/03/2007 10:35

Fantastic news about your mum and dad taking DS though - definitely take the opportunity while it is there!

bubblez · 16/03/2007 10:36

Hiya all,

Ok have caught up on all posts between my yesterday post and today so....

Elliek - Your right hun I meant to say 3/5s of the babys head can be felt so its 2/5s down (just one more 5th and it'll be engaged).....

Normally I wouldn't panic but with dd they said at 38wk check they could feel 3/5s and that it doesn't mean anything really, but then exactly a week later I had her!! So am now starting to worry a little....
Esp as midwife was quite suprised and said that its not common for the 2nd baby to have decended so much so early and that it could be any day now!!!

SOSPL, RH and everyone else whos 1st child is being a complete PITA..... I can empathise!! Mia has gone from little angel to the biggest brat going.. I have dealt with everything this morning from tantrums to her hitting the moses basket to get my attention... And yes, I too have already shouted this morning she has also been on the naughty step already!!

MIABT - Have a lovely time
CD - lovely to 'see' you too hun... how you keeping?

Ok had major shakes last night due to another drop in blood preasure.... Is anyone else suffering with dips in blood preasure?

36+4

bubblez · 16/03/2007 10:40

Oh RH xposted with you - dont stress your not a bad mummy at all we all forget things besides your pregnant you have the best excuse..... Def take your mum and dad up with the offer, a break will do wonders....

1becomes3 · 16/03/2007 10:48

Right a quick post before I attempt to catch up.

I forgot to tell you all they have booked me in to have my section on the 11th, which knowing my luck i will last up until the 9th and then have to have an emergency one, at least I don't have to wait until the 24th which is my actual due date.

I thought that I would come home and get some sleep yesterday, but the DT's had different ideas as soon as I put my pj's on I started having huge BH, I really thought Iwas going to end up back in hospital, but around 9o'clock while i was waiting for the next one to come, I fell asleep and woke up at 8 this morning

Has anyone else reached their maximum amount of strech, I have turns out the rash on my tummy is where I can't strech anymore so my strech marks are getting little itchie spots of fluid on them not very nice my tummy looks very red, angry and sore.

Oh I love being pg

Right I'm off to catch up.
