hi.

Eca hope your baby has turned around, I am 34+2. Alternative therapy sounds good but to be honest there is no way I could afford things like that at the moment. I am going to try the excercise the midwife recommended and seeif that works.

My mum said the same thing happened to her when she was expecting my brother apparently he was head down then turned back around and just a few days before labour he turned himself back to head down! I just want to avoid a section.

Eddas · 15/03/2007 19:42

Bad news re the breech babies, fingers cross they turn. Mine is head down but back to back, which will apparantly mean back ache inthe first stages of labour oh well we'll see if it'll turn.

That quiz is annoying!!!

DH just accused me of moving his wallet, oh yeah nothing better to do. It's always my fault if he can;t find something! Well i headed upstairs to his 'stuff' drawer with shouts of 'it's not in there' from dh, and guess what, blow me down is in his f'in drawer!!! FFS he said i've already looked. Hmm obvisouly not! And apparently he didn't put some papers in ther either. Then has the cheek to call me moany as he leaves. Aaarrggghhh.

Eddas · 15/03/2007 19:44

Ellie, good idea, maybe i could do that with all his stuff!!! Did it with his work trousers once and he never knew!

Or maybe i should get more organised and just wash the damn things, nah that'll never happen me organised, that's like me losing weight or giving up chocolate

OPk need chocolate now incase that ever comes true>

EllieK · 15/03/2007 19:46

ooh, you are my kindred spirit Eddas

Eddas · 15/03/2007 19:48

Emergency chocolate is being administered,
Eddas settles down to mn with a bowl of coco pops

ellieandhattie · 15/03/2007 19:49

EllieK · 15/03/2007 19:51

ellieandhattie · 15/03/2007 20:03

Don't know what people are doing on my thread (looking after their newborns maybe ) both if mine are snoring upstairs in their beds just debating whether to run a nice long hot bath and enjoy the peace. Right I am going now so hope all you ladies have nice pain free births if eddas lets me I'll post on here when her buba is born (hoefully not 25th march when she and her dh are being godparents to my dd2 he he he )

CaptainDippy · 15/03/2007 20:06

Don't worry Eddas - he'll never notice the footie kit. He is a man after all!!

Yes Katy - whoever said that lambskins keep baby cool in summer is right - they are really fab, but can very pricey. We sell them in my shop (really, really fab ones) for £50 ish - I get 10% discount if you're interested?? Let me know.....

Great news about clear scans etc 1B3, but what a crappy way to spend your Birthday Have a good belated one tomorrow instead!

Hello bubblez - good to "see" you, it has been a while!

CaptainDippy · 15/03/2007 20:07

Hi e&h! Nice to meet you!

Eddas · 15/03/2007 20:10

Oi lurky get back to your Jan lot!!!

claricebean · 15/03/2007 20:17

Welcome back, CD.
LOL about the football kit.
Anymore news, WCL?
1b3 - Happy Birthday.

Can't remember anything else, but hello to everyone.

Well DH starts his treatment in London on Monday for 5 days. He hasn't booked a return flight because we assume the doctor will want to see him for a follow up post treatment which could be the next week. AAAHHHH. Also, there's a possibility it might not work and they'll need to try something else. Obviously it'll be much better to have him back able-bodied, but it is all getting quite close now - 20 days!!! . MIL arrives in 12 days, thank goodness. I think I could cope a lot better if I could just get rid of my PILES .

runnyhabbit · 15/03/2007 20:22

CD - I've been feeling spaced out too. Its a right pita. Any other time I'd put it down to not eating, but my appetite has gone through the roof since starting ML mw seem to think it might have something to being a bit dehydrated (and also my nose is so bunged up, not a cold, but just loads of snot, sorry tmi )
I have worked out a bit of pattern for feeling spaced though - it seems to follow long periods of standing up (like when I cooked dinner earlier, and decided empty the dishwasher and reload it while the chilli con carne was simmering)
I must learn to slow down

claricebean · 15/03/2007 20:25

RH, my nose is weird too. Not a cold either, just yucky, gunky, bloody. Thought this morning that this must be what a show is like (never had one) although obviously not from your nose

runnyhabbit · 15/03/2007 20:29

cb - lol at a show from your nose thats exactly what I thought.

Eddas · 15/03/2007 20:34

Clarice, hope dh's treatment works and he's back with you soon

CD sure you're right about him not noticing as you say he is a man!

1b3, forgot to say earlier, glad all was ok and Happy Birthday, sorry it was spent in hospital

WestCountryLass · 15/03/2007 20:55

No news yet Lots of BHs and twingey pains but nothing is coming of it. I went to Jump today with the kids so baby has been rockin' and rollin' but now I am resting everything has died down pout

1B3, I can't believe that Registrar, but apparantly they change rotation in March and September and so s/he probably did not have much of a clue to be honest.

maveta · 15/03/2007 21:10

Hi Girls,
It´s been another busy week at work so I´m feeling very left behind but sounds like everyone is more or less okay apart from our normal aches and pains.. 1b3 very belated happy birthday and great news @ no dvt. Ooogs you are doing such a good job and not even sounding particularly self pitying!! Hats off to you both indeed

Dh has started getting really anxious about the birth (and I´m only 34 + ) and in the last 3 days has told me I HAVE to pack the labour bag about 10 times. 4 of those were today alone. Good grief, man. I keep telling him I am washing baby clothes tomorrow and as soon as they are dry i.e. tomorrow pm I will put the bags together. Seems to think it is inevitable that I will go into labour and we will have to red light it to hospital RIGHT AWAY with no time for picking up toothbrushes.

Work has totally sucked the energy out of me this week but not back til Monday and only 2 weeks/ 6 days to go, really can´t wait.

SOSPL - hope all went well at the dentist, my little sister was a complete NIGHTMARE, poor thing first had a brace at 3 and has hated them ever since. She used to scream the place down before he´d even touched her, so embarrassing. CD hope you are feeling less woozy, sounds like you need some good rest-up time.

Sorry I haven´t mentioned anyone else but struggling to make my brain work... Ooooh weeonion I keep meaning to say I´ve been listening to the cd you sent but kept forgetting.. it´s great, thanks!!

MIABT - of course I will keep you up to date on any news.. if anyone on this thread EVER sees fit to squeeze their baby out!

..
..
..

Yup, that´s it, can´t squeeze anymore out of the old heed tonight.. nighty night gorgeous ladies x

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 15/03/2007 21:38

Hello!

Clarice, glad your dh is getting some treatment, and really hope it works and you can be reunited. must be so hard.
Lol at the "nose show"!!

CD/Runny, I have been feeling spaced again today. No idea why as I slept well last night and my iron level is fine. I think for me it is the lack of being able to breath to full capacity. Not nice though.

Well, the trip to the dentist was fab! When they called Becky in, she beamed like a Cheshire cat and practically ran in! I thought there was going to be a wobble when she had to sit in the big chair on her own, but she was fab. Opened her mouth really wide and let the dentist do his job. I was so chuffed! She then got a sticker which she was well pleased with. The dentist was luscious. I think he was Polish, and had the most amazing eyes. Looking forward to my appointment in a couple of weeks!! Do you think there is some way I can hide my bump!!

Right, I am going to have to go to bed as am wiped out.

Love to everyone I have failed to mention, and apologies.

See you all in the morning. xx

Katy44 · 15/03/2007 21:58

How on earth does a polo have 4 holes?
Something to do with the holes in the 'o's?
Glad the trip to the dentist went well SOSPL
