SOSPL - hope you have a lovely leaving lunch today.

Clarice - sending strong > over to spain for you! You're coping amazingly with it all hon. Well done you!

Octo - what a great nights sleep! !

hello everyone else!

CaptainDippy · 15/03/2007 10:38

Morning! Think my trip away is catching up on me now - feeling a bit spaced and dizzy and tired; but ok - Glad that DD1 has gone to Toddlers with a friend and DD2 is sleeping - She actually went down with absolutely NO FUSS this morning - I was and very Obviously, it was "just a phase", which is a huge relief!!

Friend bought our swinging crib and bouncy chair back last night, which was excellent - Feeling ever-so tiny bit more organised now! Really trying hard to get my head round this baby now; feeling very apprehensive, but excited too!

Happy Birthday!! - to 1B3! Hope you are home from hospital now and are having a lovely day sweetie - What is the prognosis on the leg?? Thinking of you .....

Where are Dooby and WeeOnion? Hope all is well and if they are sprogging, it goes well!

Had Antenatal appt yesterday - bubs still oblique, but "on it's way round" apparentely (I hope so!!) MW let me feel baby's head between my hands - was so weird, but very lovely - I love my super-wriggly bubba!!

Hope you all have great days .....

octopussyintummy · 15/03/2007 10:44

Happy Birthday 1B3

CD - LOL at on its way round! I think mine did a turn last night as have been getting kicks low down - going to swallow a compass! ROFL hmmm - not so funny when end up breech though .... hmmm

nuttygirl · 15/03/2007 10:50

Nice to 'see' you back CD, hope you had a great holiday!

Sending best wishes to 1b3.

Wow Ooogs, I don't know how you manage...it's bad enough carrying one around, never mind 2 at those weights.

CB - hope DH is ok and he gets back to you soon.

SOSPL - have a nice lunch, is it your last day today then?

Well DH & I made up last night and everything a bit happier. Got a slightly better night's sleep last night so think that helped. Octopussy - 11 1/2 hrs - what's your secret????

Katy - I got some moses basket sheets & cot sheets (flat) from Mothercare and they washed really well, they do fitted ones too...thought i'd mention it seeing as Yvie sent a mothercare discount code!!! Also John Lewis moses basket fitted sheets were v reasonable.

Be careful if ordering fitted cot sheets tho that they are the right size for the cot!!!! (There seems to be a couple of sizes of cot matress around!)

CaptainDippy · 15/03/2007 10:51

I am hoping that he / she keeps turning cos this "foot bursting out of the left-hand side of my tummy" thing is starting to sour my otherwise happy and bouncy self!! Ouch! Little bugger! (Still think my bubba would deck yours Ellie!! )

nuttygirl · 15/03/2007 10:51

Octopussy - I thought mine was back to breech cos I'd been feeling 'kicks' low down aswell as around the middle...turned out the low down 'kicks' were the bean waving its arms!!!

CaptainDippy · 15/03/2007 10:52

Glad you and DH made up sweetie (nutty) - It is a tough old time on our relationships atm, isn't it!!?

Bramshott · 15/03/2007 10:59

Morning everyone.

Hoping that 1b3 and anyone else who's in hospital is doing okay. I had a DVT after I had DD so I can sympathise there - they are much more common than most people think.

Going into town this afternoon and just wondering what I might have forgotten for my hospital bag... Will have to refer back to the lists again! There was loads of stuff I thought of between 3 and 4 this morning, but can't remember now!

Are you all getting a present for your older DD / DS "from the baby"? I keep meaning to get something, but not sure (a) what to get, and (b) whether DD, being 4, will cotton on that it isn't actually "from" the baby, and will that matter?!? Still, I suppose she could have a special 'big sister' present - I just have to distract her in the shop for long enough to choose something!

CaptainDippy · 15/03/2007 11:06

"Special Big Sister" present is the way to go, me thinks. Is she particularly "into" anything? Is there anything you know she would completely love??

octopussyintummy · 15/03/2007 11:07

There is a complete bun fight going on on our road! There are about 15 enormous pine trees that have blocked the sunlight out of half the homes (not ours) for about 15 years and someone has decdied to do something about it and paid for a local firm to take the lot down! I am qute env friendly but its about time those poor people had some daylight in their homes - one grumpy lady has sent out an urgent email to 'ecolerne' our village env group to stop them being chopped down - they live on the road too but aren't affected by the darkness. They took down half yetserday and the rest are coming down today - the difference is really amazing. also people let their dogs poo under the trees and don't clean it up which is disgusting - so I am pleased they are gone.

The lady is saying they are protected but I am sure this would have been looked into before they started - either by the people paying or the tree felling company.

Let the fun begin ... ! Oh village life!

octopussyintummy · 15/03/2007 11:10

My ds's want to buy the baby a present - but I think really they just want to go to Toys R Us!!!

CaptainDippy · 15/03/2007 11:11

How exciting! Perhaps people will chain themselves to the trees and burn oil lamps and sing all night!!!!!?

Bramshott · 15/03/2007 11:17

She wants a barbie, but I am a bit !! Apart from that, I guess anything with Disney Princesses on - I'd better go into Woolworths and have a look, even if I can't buy it with her there. I was going to get her a couple of comics too as she thinks they're the bees knees and I rarely buy them!

Oooh Octo - how exciting! Funny isn't it, how trees/hedges have the propensity to get people's backs up so easily!

CaptainDippy · 15/03/2007 11:21

Perhaps let her choose for herself!!? (Or is that just asking for trouble!!?)

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 15/03/2007 11:24

Morning all.

Happy Birthday 1b3, and I hope all is well.

Octo, 11 1/2 hours sleep! What time do you go to bed??

I had a good night last night, and no weeing from me or Becky - HURRAH!!

Nutty, my last day is tomorrow, but not many people work on a Friday, so we are having the lunch today. Full of cake though as have stuffed a chocolate eclair and a jam doughnut!

Hope everyone else is ok. - really hope Dooby and WO are ok.

Back later. xx

eca · 15/03/2007 11:28

oooh... bun fight over trees! Great! How a pine tree could be protected I'm not sure Are they the evil leylandii? We have a bit hedge of them right infront of our house, at least they don't cause too much shade, but the bleep pigeons that live in them and poo on my lovely clean washing are a pita!

Bramshott · 15/03/2007 11:28

CD - ah yes, but I am a control freak !!

CaptainDippy · 15/03/2007 11:44

Bramshott - LOL - Me too honey, me too - I'd never let DD1 loose in a toy shop - very dangerous!!

Hello eca and SOSPL!!

Best start thinking about munch for the LOs as DD1 will be back soon.

Gosh I am tired today ....

EllieK · 15/03/2007 11:54

Yvie i finish work on 23rd!

CaptainDippy · 15/03/2007 11:56

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 15/03/2007 12:01

Just been given gifts and a card from work, and managed not to cry! Not sure how long that'll last!

EllieK · 15/03/2007 12:02

alright already
have to come see my girls first before i go elsewhere

glad you liked it tho x

Bramshott · 15/03/2007 12:04

SOSPL - I cried on Mon at the sight of small children getting off a school bus and being met by their parents!! So you're doing pretty well I think! Have a good last couple of days.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 15/03/2007 12:09

I nearly cried this morning, as when I dropped Becky off at preschool, they had put a piece of her artwork - with her name on it - downstairs where the children put their coats etc. I was so chuffed, as was she. Such a proud mummy!!

EllieK · 15/03/2007 12:24

i'm dreading next friday, will be crying all day
