@1004rise no baby yet from Tickyboo (she's posted on the FB page) but hopefully soon :)

CoxsOrangePippin · 02/05/2017 20:31

shini, standard so many congratulations !

MrsJW15 · 02/05/2017 20:44

Congratulations Shini and Standard!

Bump is going rock hard again tonight, but I can feel baby moving, and it doesn't hurt - just feels uncomfortable. Not quite sure what's going on really! Will see where it gets to - we are seeing the midwife tomorrow anyway.

newbieho · 02/05/2017 20:51

@ShiniBerry @StandardLampski congratulations on your little ones arrival! It seems we have a strong representation of boys in our May group.

EsmesBees · 02/05/2017 21:30

Congratulations Shini. Sorry they are keeping you in, but he looks beautiful. And welcome and congrats to you too standard.

Barnes sorry about the shingles, but good that they are not worried.

Presentation scan for me in the morning to see if the baby is breech or not. Still hopeful it will all be fine. Will be the first time DD has come to a scan and 'seen' her little sister. Not sure what she'll make of it.

teainbed · 02/05/2017 22:03

Congratulations @ShiniBerry he's beautiful! Hope the rest of the week goes ok and you get home swiftly.

@Barnes79 you poor thing, what an awkward time to get shingles. Hope you're not too uncomfortable.

Welcome @StandardLampski and congratulations to you too. Smile

Paige84 · 02/05/2017 22:21

Hi all and many congratulations to all with gorgeous new arrivals already! I'm not due until the 25th but was noted at a growth scan today my little one hasn't grown well in the past 4 weeks (Gained just under a pound) showing as below 6lb today (36+5) Re-scanning in 1 week and potential induction at that point if still not happy with progress. I wondered if anyone else has had any concerns re estimated weight at scans?? Thank you

Badgerbird · 02/05/2017 22:37

Woohoo shini!! Such lovely news. I hope little one gets well soon.

Congratulations lampski!! Hope you have a good recovery :)

barnes such a shame, here's hoping it clears up quickly.

nursebicky you've gone quiet again.... all ok?

stationaryace · 02/05/2017 22:51

Paige one of my DD's friends was induced at 37 weeks for weight concerns. He was kept in hospital for a week post-birth but now you couldn't tell the difference between him and the other rascals.

shini congrats!

jennymac31 · 02/05/2017 22:57

Evening ladies

Have any of you been experiencing uncomfortable stomach cramps/pains that you can also feel in your bum (or actual arsehole - apologies for tmi)? I don't know if this is baby getting ready or if it's just me suffering from wind/constipation or both. Have been experiencing this for the last couple of days and it's bloody uncomfortable!

Don't recall experiencing this when pregnant with dd so just wondered if anyone was going through this at 37/38 weeks of pregnancy.

Tickyboovicki · 02/05/2017 23:54

Checking in very quickly, in hospital, baby felt the need to be dramatic so hooked up to every machine, had my waters broken and now just waiting! Fingers crossed first may baby makes an appearance soon!

teainbed · 03/05/2017 00:23

Good luck @Tickyboovicki won't be long now!

lullaby23 · 03/05/2017 01:19

Good luck ticky hope things come along for you soon.

Congrats to standard and shini on your boys 💙💙 56cm wow that's a tall one shini!

Sorry to hear about the shingles barnes glad it's not considered serious but a pain to have something else to worry about at this stage.

Looks like lots of aches and pains going on, hope they're productive for evicting babies in the end! DH is away most of this week and next so hoping this one stays put a little while longer. Also anterior placenta here but feeling BH and movements, mostly bum pushing out which is quite visible!

Toddler has come down with a cold so keeping fingers crossed I don't catch it but probably will Sad

BouncingBlueberry · 03/05/2017 05:06

Why does tea and toast taste so good at this time of the morning?

MrsJW15 · 03/05/2017 05:27

Oh @BouncingBlueberry I've been awake for ages, suddenly toast sounds good. Why is baby so awake?! Has been moving like crazy for the last half hour or so.

@Tickyboovicki hope you are doing ok!

Brightsmoke · 03/05/2017 05:38

Good luck Ticky, and congratulations to Shini & Standard. Hope all ok soon Shini and your allowed home Friday, if not before. He's a cutie :)

Due date today, and no signs of a baby yet! How's the rest of the 3rd May clan doing that don't have babies yet?

newbieho · 03/05/2017 06:08

Morning everyone! Good luck @Tickyboovicki you're nearly there x

RasperryInAMelon · 03/05/2017 06:28

@ShiniBerry congratulations!! He's a cutie! Looking forward to reading your birth story

@EsmesBees good luck for your scan today!

@jennymac31 I've been achy and windy 🙈 not the most comfortable, but I'd put it down to my body preparing itself and having a clear out... 😒

@Tickyboovicki good luck with everything!

Thank you everyone, we are pretty thrilled with him! Little dude is doing well so far and yes his is one big baby! His CRP level went up to 23 (normal is 0.5-3), and he had to get a lumbar puncture at 2 days old which was scary. Thankfully the level has dropped and we can possibly go home on Friday. Other than that he has a tongue tie so we are struggling a bit with breastfeeding. We have a referral to the tongue tie clinic which is only scheduled after he's a week old. Would love to hear from anyone who might have dealt with this!

Congratulations Lampski

Good luck TickyBooVicky

Brightsmoke fingers crossed you don't have to wait too long!

MrsJW15 that does sound like BH if there is no pain. Definitely ask your MF today.

WishIWasSleeping · 03/05/2017 07:31

@BouncingBlueberry - that's standard after birth food in my local hospital, and both times for me it was the best 'meal' ever! - do you have something to tell us? Grin

Badgerbird · 03/05/2017 08:03

Oh ticky hope all ok and you are being well looked after.

Had home visit from mw last night and she left her bag of goodies. I then spent most of night awake on and off with back ache, period type pain and sickness..... it's all getting a bit more real Shock

Barnes79 · 03/05/2017 08:07

Jenny sometimes I get that - tends to be wind/constipation but I've only had it the last week so it could be baby heading downwards...

Ticky Fingers crossed LO is here safe and soon

Badgerbird · 03/05/2017 08:08

shini pleased his level has dropped and can go home soon. No wonder you are struggling with bf with tongue tie issue. No words of wisdom I'm afraid I just know friends who baby's have needed that snip and they fed much better after :)

mrscrocopop · 03/05/2017 08:25

Shini & Lampski - congratulations on your beautiful boys!!!
Ticki - good luck, you're on the homeward stretch!
The babies seem to be coming thick and fast now. Mine shows little sign of wanting to move - I had a few nights which made me think we might be getting close but all that has stopped now. Due 13th. I think it's in spreadsheet as 12th - my mistake!

Does anyone know anything that helps with middle of night hip pain? A particular exercise? Drugs?! I am at my wits end - waking up with agonising hip pain in the night. It used to be quickly relieved by rolling over but now often has me in tears for a while after I wake. God I sound pathetic! Ha!

Rabbitykins55 · 03/05/2017 08:49

@mrscrocopop paracetamol takes the edge off a little bit. I've had some on a couple of nights just to try and sleep a bit better. I've tried a pillow between my legs but not noticed a difference.
