Congrats on all the new arrivals!
Yes I do have lovely neighbours! So thankful for them. Sunny day finally here in London, I have already done and hung out a load of washing and I am finally pre washing all my cloth nappies to hang out.

DH and I regularly go through crumpet phases. I always have butter and honey but he goes for peanut butter and jam! May get him to pack some for the hospital as there is a kitchen with a toaster that he can use,I bet they would be lovely after I give birth!

Baby Moo is still inside grrr. I am 39 weeks today and I do lots of bouncing on my ball everyday which produces cramps and BH but they go away when I stop which is annoying. 4/7 of our NCT babies have arrived and I am determined to be next!! I do have the next due date although I know that means nothing as the first baby that arrived was due 2 days before mine.

As for nesting I have a big to do list of things I WANT to get done but I just haven't got round to it yet...

MrsJW15 · 10/05/2017 13:20

Nesting just seems to be kicking in here... I've just organised my make up and jewellery and am now cleaning the kitchen! Being on my hands and knees seems to be encouraging some mild contractions so I guess it's worth it!

Brightsmoke · 10/05/2017 15:09

Dream, pretty similar to you, some cramps today and period type pains but not much else. Have had some lumpy discharge, but not what I would class as plug I don't think, not that I really know what I'm looking for! Done lots of bouncing, but same as you MissMooMoo, all BH and most of the discomfort goes as soon as I stop 🙄

Scrubbed my living room floor on hands and knees on Monday, skirting boards, behind sofa, so living room is spotless! Have cleaned the carpets in the hall way, rearranged and cleaned kitchen cupboards, nesting has been in full swing for a while now! At least the house is tidy I guess 😂

1004Rise · 10/05/2017 16:25

@MissMooMoo snap on 39 weeks today!

I had a bit of a wobble this morning when my app reminded me, while I'm definitely ready to not be pregnant anymore I'm not sure I'm ready to have a baby either!! BlushConfused

Bump looks lower today but not anything more exciting than that. Consultant tomorrow to get signed off for MLU then we can start operation get baby out!

dreamofhungarianlanterns · 10/05/2017 17:03

Sorry folks this is a bit grim but bright I googled mucus plug and bloody show and think I may have had the latter. Midwife rang this morning and has booked me in for second sweep on Friday, said not to be surprised if whoever comes round sends me back to hospital as they may not do it as I'll still be measuring small. I'll have that battle if I need to on Friday, they had me there 4.5 hours yesterday and didn't feel the need to scan for size so not keen to go again really, plus waiting with other women who were clearly in pain or distress went against the pretty zen mood I've managed to be in for most of pregnancy so far. Nothing doing other than back ache and feeling pretty tired today.

DP wants to take a couple of days off to chill out together but I'm trying to persuade him to wait and use holiday when baby is here. I can understand he's getting really keen to be off on paternity leave, at least with mat leave we have the date sorted in advance.

Rabbitykins55 · 10/05/2017 19:04

I'm trying out the recipe @lullaby23 the uncooked batter tastes pretty good! Grin I've substituted almonds for Brazil nuts because I forgot to get them and that's all I had at home. I'd watch them in the oven, my first batch burnt (15 mins) second were softer and more cookie like (12 mins) third round is on for 14 minutes!

Badgerbird · 10/05/2017 19:21

wish what sling did you get, any good? Hope you managed to make it out :)

That sounded stressful dream. I hope things get moving for you.

Loving all the nesting going on. There are some serious Nesters amongst us!!

Ikea done. So pleased to have finally got her drawers so I can start going through the mountain of bags of clothes etc and get them washed, sorted and put away Smile

Brightsmoke · 10/05/2017 19:32

Sounds promising for you Dream! Hope things get moving for you before Friday. I definitely haven't had a bloody show, but almost convinced I've now started losing the mucus plug. Baby has been laying on my right the whole time, and today has started turning. I vaguely remember the Midwife at the antenatal course saying they start turning when they are getting ready, so hoping that's positive! Have been getting some mildly painful tightenings tonight, praying baby comes by itself before Tuesday!

It's such a guessing game, I'm sure I'm probably imagining some symptoms because I'm so desperate to get this baby out now!

Barnes79 · 10/05/2017 19:36

Has anyone had / having random sharp pains at the bottom of the bump in the middle? I've also got a tender and feels a bit swollen groin and bottom of the bump on the right. I'm wondering if it's just baby's shoulder or something but it's been there since my episode of contractions on Saturday. Just lots of new pains this week and don't know if it's cos baby moved on Saturday...

Tickyboovicki · 10/05/2017 20:25

@lullaby23 arghh I can't seem to see the recipe, would you mind posting again?

Having MIL issues and would appreciate some advice! Until we move we live literally a 5 min walk away from both my mum and sister and MIL. Husband is useless as replying to his mum so I feel like all day I've been fielding messages from her when I'm knackered and emotional, which I didn't need. Questions about how husbands exam went (I don't know! He's not home! Try asking him!) and so on. I know she feels left out and wants to be involved with the baby but she's hardly been a huge part of our lives for the past 8 years (husband didn't get on well with her and she kicked him out at 16 meaning he dropped out of 6th form to get a job, they get on much better now) so to go from all to nothing when I'm already knackered and emotional is too much!
I've always been super close to my mum and sister so they have been helping out a lot, so I get that she feels left out, but it's different as I'm comfortable with them and can feed etc in front of them. MIL is here now, arrived just as baby needed feeding so I had to come upstairs and feed in the bedroom. Now I'm too annoyed to go down as my husband keeps saying how good it is that she wants to be involved etc. I know it's good, and I don't want her to feel left out but at the same time I wish he'd realise the difference between her and my family and see how I'm feeling. Also this is me being petty but his brother is annoying the hell out of me recently and I just want them out my house. Hormones are not my friend right now.

savagehk · 10/05/2017 20:31

@Tickyboovicki www.organicmamacafe.com/2012/07/flourless-lactation-cookies-monster-cookie-style/ - does that work?

Tickyboovicki · 10/05/2017 20:33

@savagehk thanks! Will bookmark it now before I lose it again!

Rabbitykins55 · 10/05/2017 20:58

@Tickyboovicki I've made the cookies, the best batch were the ones I cooked for 14 minutes.

Sorry you are having trouble with your MIL.

Barnes79 · 10/05/2017 20:59

Ticky I kind of get where you're coming from. My DH doesn't get that I don't feel as comfortable around his family as I do around my own (he even recently told me he thought I didn't like them, which is not true, I just don't know them that well and they're very different to my family).

He also doesn't have the balls to set boundaries with them and kind of leaves it to me which is awkward.

Whilst I have no advice, I understand what you mean. Flowers

WishIWasSleeping · 10/05/2017 21:01

@Badgerbird - I got a very fetching green stretchy wrap. She also had a close caboo which I tried on, but this stretchy thing was actually more comfortable. I (so far) don't even mind the thought of 'making' it from scratch each time.
2 week hire for £10, so I'm quite pleased.
Used it out on a walk today. DD didn't want a sleep so took her for a stroll which always seems to do the trick. Used it again tonight to 'cook' dinner as both children were a bit clingy. Think I'm picking up a double buggy at the weekend too. Smile

@Tickyboovicki you're right about hormones, they're rampant just now and you have this tiny little person who you'll no doubt feel super protective about! I don't know the answer but if it were me I'd ignore the majority of MILs texts and get DH to set some boundaries about visiting. If anyone says anything you're sleeping/resting/feeding.

MrsJW15 · 10/05/2017 21:47

Vicki that sounds so tricky, and I'm sure hormones aren't helping! Maybe you need to have a discussion with your husband about a couple of practical things - like saying that it's his responsibility to communicate with her, you aren't necessarily going to reply. And maybe that she needs to call and check before she comes over? It's not unreasonable not to expect a new mum to be constantly on her phone!

Feeling lots of tightening here again, and wondering if it's going to ramp up into anything. I feel like this happens most nights though so shouldn't get too excited.

Adventuregame · 10/05/2017 23:26

Total update needed - I had my baby on Friday May 5th !!

lullaby23 · 10/05/2017 23:55

Ooh rabbity it sounds promising, sounds good with Brazil nuts too, yum! Will keep an eye on them burning thanks for the heads up.

ticky I would ignore any questions about DH and let him reply himself and agree you have a perfect excuse not to be texting every 5 mins so don't feel pressured to reply to any.

Congratulations adventure! What flavour? How are you getting on?

Can anyone with the Close Caboo recommend a YouTube video on how to put it on? I am so uncoordinated and get really flustered with stuff like that so I'm wondering if I should practice as I really want to use a sling this time.

Check up today, hopefully last one until ELCS all being well. Am trying to neck a few glasses of water first as amniotic fluid was slightly low last time and I don't want an early appearance as still unprepared!

MrsJW15 · 11/05/2017 00:06

Congratulations @Adventuregame!

Tickyboovicki · 11/05/2017 02:54

Congratulations @adventuregame! I thought it had been quiet for a few days 🙂

Thanks for the advice everyone, will speak to husband tomorrow about it properly

Barnes79 · 11/05/2017 03:13

Congratulations @Adventuregame !

Brightsmoke · 11/05/2017 03:28

Congratulations Adventure! Hope your both doing well

newbieho · 11/05/2017 03:41

Congratulations @Adventuregame and warm welcome to Adventure baby!

I'm wide awake since 1.20 am and seriously annoyed by pregnancy insomnia. It's the high time to take this baby out Hmm

MrsJW15 · 11/05/2017 05:39

Waves to @newbieho and anyone else still up. I woke up about an hour ago as I thought I was going to be sick. I wasn't, but I'm uncomfortable and awake now. Sad
