Time for another thread! What a chatty bunch.

We should get a spreadsheet set up that's an open shared document so we can all update it. I'll see what I can do but currently without a laptop!

Hi all 👋🏼.

I've been lurking, feeling a bit anxious about joining but I had a reassurance scan today and all is doing well and measuring well at 9+2 so thought I'd finally stop lurking and introduce myself

This is my first baby after 8 months of trying and 1 chemical pregnancy. I'm due 2nd Dec.

So far sheer exhaustion and nausea have been my 1st trimester treats with some fairly inconsistent retching and vomiting. Currently working on the very naive (and completely wrong) assumption that I will wake up at 12 weeks feeling absolutely fine!

Loving the food talk and now massively craving Nando's!

MontyPants · 01/05/2017 17:55

Carlotta you'll be fine. Having a tooth out isn't bad. I've had 3 wisdom teeth out, one was impacted so had to have surgery which included stitches in my gum. I also had a tooth out the other month, before I was pregnant, because it was causing me so much pain. The relief when it was out was amazing. Also, if you can, ask to look at the tooth. They let me keep mine. It'll take about 30 seconds so surely it can't cause an issue for the baby

Hey gang.. it's been an interesting weekend. Went to a hen do on Saturday and discovered the hen had basically told everyone my news 🙈 she is one of my best friends and I wanted her to know early as I'm not going to her main hen do now.. oh well!!

Spent the day yesterday delivering the news to the in-laws.. who are thrilled and desperate to tell everyone they know but have agreed to wait for the 12 week scan (phew).

9+3 today and pleased to have avoided sickness but am getting thumped by near constant constipation instead 👍👍

Welcome to the new people and congratulations 🎉 and hooray for all these fabulous scan photos. I'm just loving them all ♥️♥️

Angielka · 01/05/2017 18:10

Hi macsworth we're due date twins!

Hi everyone, sorry to hear about spotting and sickness but happy to see the scans!

I've been away all weekend and had a couple of late nights which seems to have changed my vomiting schedule 🤢 it's evening sickness for the moment...! I think I've got used to the sea bands now and I'm down from 5 times a day to once or twice. We'll see if it lasts...

YouBoggleMyMind · 01/05/2017 18:19

Spotting again, so that's at 5 weeks and now 7 weeks. My DSis (ex midwife) has reassured me that with it being brown and scant and I'm in no pain, it's just baby getting comfy but I just can't shake this feeling of worry. I'm scared I'll get to my scan on Thursday and nothing will be there or something will be wrong. How do you get rid of the intense worry??! I don't feel ill, but still feel a bit more tired than usual and peeing more than normal I think. Boobs are also tender. Those are all good things right??

Carlotta82248 · 01/05/2017 18:29

@MontyPants so is it really quick? I'm terrified! Needs must though, can't carry on like this, have sobbed my way through the day!

MontyPants · 01/05/2017 18:34

Carlotta it'll be fine. Honestly. I elected to have the last one out as I didn't fancy a root canal. Don't stress yourself over nothing. Focus on baby bean instead xx

Royalsteph · 01/05/2017 19:06

6+2 here, feels like forever till my 12 wk scan, umming and ahhing about whether to go for an early one. I don't have many symptoms except occasional nausea, sore boobs and a bump that is very obvious from about 6pm onwards. We've only told dm and FIL who are happy but a bit shocked. Haven't told the other dcs yet until we have our scan.

Carley27 · 01/05/2017 19:29

Dive I think mild cramping is fine, but speak to a midwife if you need reassurance 🌸

Good to see you here macs and great news from your scan ☺️

Boggle sorry about the spotting, but good that your Dsis had been reassuring you. Hope you can relax a bit and Thursday comes round quickly.

I'm 6+2 too royal 🙂 feel the same about 12 week scan!

TipTop333 · 01/05/2017 19:37

Glasto I would have been fuming!! Did you say something?

glastogal · 01/05/2017 20:13

Nah tip - what's done is done!! She wasn't being malicious, she is just hopeless with secrets. I should have expected it.. it's the reason I never told her about the IVF but it didn't feel right not telling her when my other close mates knew. It's fine.

Just made a homestyle version of Ikea meatballs for dinner - epic 👍👍

MotherofUnicorns · 01/05/2017 20:36

HI everyone,
I have been googling sub chorionic haemotoma which is what i have apparently (the sonographer at my early scan wrote it all down which was really useful).
Apparently it should be fine but i should take it easy and avoid sex in the first trimester!! bad luck DH - we have gone from months of loads of action to zilch!
I have my booking in on monday 8th so i might ask the midwife if the epu will scan me for reassurance......
Totally paranoid about every niggle now.

Loving all the cravings! i feel sick most evenings and after i eat especially so food isn;t mega appealing at all at the moment - just beige carbs so thats going to be great for my weight!

Hope everyone had a good bank holiday x

60percentbanana · 01/05/2017 20:57

Hi unicorns, I had one of those with my second pregnancy at about 8 weeks ish. There was a large pocket of blood visible on the scan - but I bled for a couple of days and then turned brown for a bit and stopped - it wasn't visible on the 12 week scan so must have been absorbed. I rested for a couple of days but was active for the rest of the pregnancy and everything was fine. Fingers crossed for you xx

MotherofUnicorns · 01/05/2017 21:22

Thanks banana that's reassuring.....

Mrsbluebell17 · 02/05/2017 03:43

Evening/morning all. I'm reporting in from the states. It's been a very long day for me as it's now bedtime finally for me. Flight went ok although I'm so worried it could have done damage to the baby/babies even though I know I'm being daft. Just the anxiety seeing as I'm on my own I think.

Hope you're all ok?
Glad to hear that scans that took place today went ok

Hi to macs. I was on the ttc thread with you (waves!). Hope all is good with you.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 02/05/2017 03:49

@Mrsbluebell17 so glad the flight went ok! Well done! Don't worry there is no way baby can be harmed! I've had a day of meetings then beach - beautiful surf. Last day in LA tomorrow then flying to NY. Hope I'll be able to sleep on the flight! Still feeling good no nausea etc. Amazed tbh, I'm 8+2 tomorrow. Felt a lot worse at 5-6 weeks (off food, exhausted) than I do now.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 02/05/2017 06:14

Having a nervous day. 6 weeks today which is the point two months again when I had a MC. Sorry in advance if I'm a needy poster today.

LapinR0se · 02/05/2017 06:28

DoctorDonna that must be hard indeed. Hand holding

BirdBrain85 · 02/05/2017 07:35

Thinking of you today Donna - here's hoping it's very uneventful for you xx

After feeling rubbish most of yesterday I'm so tired today and back to work Sad can't wait for 5pm!!

TootsyBella84 · 02/05/2017 07:39

Feeling sick with nerves 🤢

TootsyBella84 · 02/05/2017 07:40

Thinking of you Donna

BirdBrain85 · 02/05/2017 07:56

Good luck Tootsy xx

Queen0ffaff · 02/05/2017 07:57

Morning everyone. Lots been happening since I was last on - great to see all the new scans, and good luck for those having scans soon. Welcome to some new names, too!

Donna, that's tough. Keep busy and post away. You'll get through today.

My lack of sleep is getting to be a problem now. Is anyone else seriously struggling with that? I'm 6+1 now, but have been getting a grand total of one hour the past few nights. It's got worse, but started a good couple of weeks before we found out, so I'm thinking it's down to hormones? I'm still not nauseous at all (and very grateful for that), but generally feeling like I have bad PMS - I know I am really happy about things, but feel like I have that hormone dip where not a lot of that happiness really registers and I just feel a bit antsy instead... Does that sound familiar to anyone?

My other fun and games symptom is a constantly spasming diaphragm... Full of surprises this, isn't it?!

We told my parents and the ILs this weekend - you could say they were pleased! So that was lovely.

Queen0ffaff · 02/05/2017 07:58

Good luck today, Tootsy.

fishfingerSarnies · 02/05/2017 08:01

6 + 2 today I'm going to ring my GP finally and tell them I'm pregnant.
I'm feeling nervous though as I really don't have much in the way of symptoms and by this point last pregnancy I was vomiting 30 times a day and passing out every time. Not that I'm hoping for that but I'm a bit worried I'm not feeling more crap.
Good luck everyone with scans coming up and fingers crossed for those spotting and worrying.
