Thread #2, because apparently our "quiet" thread is rather busy! Grin

Just moved over from the previous thread as hadn't posted/ been on for a while.

I don't have my scan until next weds where I'll be 13+3 and the wait is starting to drive me crazy. So far I haven't had a scan at all so my anxiety levels are through the roof. I'm so worried they something is wrong or that there's nothing there.

Anyone else still waiting.

Mummyagainmaybe · 06/05/2017 07:11

Sweetandsalty I haven't had a scan. Hoping that everything's okay on Monday but it is a worry.

Zampa · 06/05/2017 07:25

My scan is this coming Friday (I'll be 11+4). Fully expecting to have to go back for a repeat as they'll say they can't see enough detail that early.

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 06/05/2017 07:32

So sorry for your news Tea

I'm also having my scan this Friday, but I really wouldn't worry about needing to go back Zampa, they can get all they need to from about 8 weeks, so unless you think you're a few weeks out you should be absolutely fine.
I'm in Cheshire and my local hospital says they do the 12 week scan anywhere between 10-13 weeks.

I'll be 12 weeks exactly, but that's only as I rang and moved mine.

Bearest17 · 06/05/2017 08:17

Seems to be a few of us with scan next Friday when I'll be 11+6. Fully expecting for EDD to be moved into early December though. With DD I'd had an early scan so was much less anxious going into this one, but I'm really nervous about this time.

Hazandduck · 06/05/2017 08:22

Sweet I am still waiting to get a scan date through, I'm 13 weeks on Monday. I paid for a private scan at 10+4/5 and all was ok but since then fear has crept back in that something will be wrong at the scan. It's horrible waiting!

Foggymist · 06/05/2017 08:38

Zampa on my son I was told at 13 weeks it was too early to see much and had to go back at 15, but this time I was seen at 11 weeks exactly and there were no issues. New clearer scanner!

butterybollocks · 06/05/2017 08:38

So sorry tea Flowers

Sweet my dates are pretty similar to yours - I have my scan a week on Tuesday when I'll be 13+1 Feels like such a long time to wait! I did have a scan at 7 weeks but tbh I'm not any less worried as that feels like such a long time ago.

AGnu · 06/05/2017 10:22

I've got mine on Monday. I think at this point I've convinced myself it's going to be bad news based on absolutely nothing & I'll be more shocked if everything's ok! I didn't bother with an early scan - I knew it wouldn't reassure me. I still don't feel pregnant, just ill. I think I usually start feeling it once I'm getting definite kicks & the bump starts to feel heavy. I won't be convinced I'm going to actually get to keep the baby until it's been home for a few weeks. Even now I frequently expect my older DC to be kidnapped/die/taken by social services for ridiculous reasons. Sometimes I wonder why I'm basically just creating yet another source of anxiety for myself! Blush

Has anyone thought way into the future about when they will go on maternity leave from work? I'm wondering if 34 weeks is ridiculous- I hate my job and won't be returning.

Foggymist · 06/05/2017 11:00

Sockportal I'll be going on maternity leave at around 32 weeks, my son was born at 36+6, I was admitted at 36 weeks so I'm taking no chances. But I'm self employed so it's a bit different, as I have massive hassle if I have to cancel bookings.

TeaAndPjs · 06/05/2017 11:09

Welcome teacher, and congratulations on the lovely scan pic. :)

Mummyagainmaybe · 06/05/2017 12:02

Thank you tea. Sweet of you.

Hope your recovery is fast. Wishing you all the best xx

Mummyagainmaybe · 06/05/2017 12:03

Welcome Teacher and congratulations from me too. Lovely scan pics x

Teachervoice · 06/05/2017 12:25

Second time lucky! Last post had to be removed as I'd left details all over the top of the scan pic: too early to claim 'baby brain'?

Thanks @Mummyagainmaybe - I'm a bit naive as it's my first pregnancy and the scan was so much more amazing than I thought it would be Smile

Teachervoice · 06/05/2017 12:26

Thanks @Hazandduck!

How far along are you, ladies? x

Zampa · 06/05/2017 13:48

Hi Teacher.

In the OP there's a link to our stats spreadsheet. It's got all our EDDs on and you can add your details, should you wish.

Hazandduck · 06/05/2017 14:03

I did something similar Teacher a couple of weeks ago when I had an early scan! Easily done when you're so excited :) According to my early scan I'm 12+5 today, just got a scan letter through and my dating '12' week scan is for a week on Monday, so the 15th of May which seems forever away and means I will be 14 weeks! Gah the wait is killing me.

GingerHanna · 06/05/2017 16:54

So, erm, anyone else got a linea nigra forming? Mine is faint but there... took me a while to convince myself it wasn't just the shadow of my increasing fuzz!

butterybollocks · 06/05/2017 17:08

I'm feeling a bit worried. Had an email from my daughter's school a few weeks ago to say they'd had cases of slapped cheek reported. She's not ill but has bright pink cheeks.... I thought she'd caught the sun a bit but thinking about it, it could be slapped cheek. She's got squidgy poo but other than that she's fine. I guess I need to speak to the midwife just in case Confused

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 06/05/2017 17:25

I'm 11+1 today and just bought some maternity jeans! My normal ones have been digging in by the end of the day (I think more due to bloat and snack related weight gain than any actual bump) so I thought if I was going to have to size up, I might as well go the whole way.

I may never go back to normal jeans! Grin

pomadas87 · 06/05/2017 18:50

I cracked and had an early scan today - kept having very clear dreams every night about miscarriage and the anxiety was getting too much...
went and paid for a private one today and am so relieved all is well, little upside down baby was wriggling away and strong heartbeat of 155bpm. So surreal but very happy!
Hope everyone's keeping well
