Thread #2, because apparently our "quiet" thread is rather busy! Grin

If you're new, do add yourself to the list so we can all see where we're at!

Help yourself to a Biscuit, here's to another month of chatting!

Thank you!

TeaAndPjs · 30/04/2017 21:13

It's worth a try:) I actually just saved that for a friend who suffers so you mentioned migraines at the right time:)

AGnu · 30/04/2017 21:15

Whenever I feel a migraine coming on I get a hot water bottle on my feet. After a while it seems to help to put it under my knees instead. Definitely makes them more bearable/shorter if I can get it as soon as I feel dodgy. I didn't realise it was an actual "thing", I just thought I was weird! Grin

I get sinus headaches/migraines and am definitely going to remember that, I spend my time splashing cold water on my face and hands and keeping the room cold. Just had one Friday night and it was miserable!

AGnu · 30/04/2017 21:23

Chopping the foot off an old pair of tights, filling it with rice & keeping it in the freezer is an economical way of having a cold compress. You could also put it in the microwave as a wheat bag. I find it much better than commercial wheat bags or bags of peas - it just fits better on my head without more weight than necessary.

Agnu great tip re tights and rice . I don't get migraines but I've found in the evening when I feel nausea and hot having a wet cold flannel on my forehead is bless. I keep it on all night flipping it over now and then to get the coolness from the other side

Anyone else do this or am I just a weirdo?

Anyone's nausea going yet? I still get it bad in evenings and I'm 11 weeks on Monday. Praying to get back to normal soon

AGnu · 30/04/2017 22:24

My nausea isn't as bad as it was but it's definitely still there. I don't have the all day low level nausea anymore but every so often it just hits me & I start gagging out of nowhere. I actually shouted at DH to get me a potato waffle earlier, the way someone might tell for an ambulance in an emergency! Blush

I have a hot rice-bag on my eyes at night. I have really dry eyes & find they don't get so sore if I fall asleep with a hot compress on.

Welcome izzi!

Foggymist · 30/04/2017 22:35

I don't feel nauseous, I just feel not quite right in my stomach, somewhere between feeling hungry and feeling way too full. Went to Tesco today and just doing that made me more queasy and sweat was pouring out of me, the joys! Thank god dh was off today and again tomorrow to let me catch up on sleep some bit tonight. Ds is a bit sick so has been waking even more than usual at night. Worst sleeper ever!

Foggymist · 30/04/2017 22:37

I take back the catching up on sleep statement, dh's beeper just went off (emergency services) so I'm on night duty for at least the next few hours back in bed with toddler cries

Topsyloulou · 30/04/2017 22:44

Nausea is waning here too. Had a fab day yesterday but back again a bit today, think it's because I ate late this morning, well tried to eat, was feeling to nauseous by then to get much down.

There is another pregnant lady on our weekend away so I'm not the only one, she's 20 weeks. Strangely our DSs are 8 weeks apart & the next ones will be too. However me not drinking is raising many eyebrows & it didn't help when we had homemade sushi last night & I couldn't eat most of it. One of the girls took me aside & asked me if I was pregnant today. I've always said I wouldn't lie if I was directly asked so she knows but she hasn't told anyone else yet but I'm sure they'll all know by the time we go home tomorrow.

Hopeful25 · 30/04/2017 23:05

Oh foggy I hope your little one is feeling better soon and you get some rest tonight x

Glad to hear from others that sometimes it feels like it's gone and then it's back. Most mornings I'm ok and then it just depends whether it starts around lunchtime or evening.

Fingers crossed for all of us not long now.

So when are out first 12 week scans happening ? Have I missed any?** I have another week and half to wait.

Angu my flannel sometimes goes over my eyes and it's lovely and so refreshing - the only thing I can think would beat it is cold cucumber slices - I am so weird haha

GingerHanna · 01/05/2017 05:20

Nausea is definitely subsiding. Mainly just have it in the evenings now as opposed to 12-14 hours a day.

Scan is a week tomorrow. Trying not to get nervous but basically obsessing over it.

pomadas87 · 01/05/2017 06:36

Hi ladies, have been quiet the past couple of weeks so just catching up on the thread now! How's everyone feeling? My symptoms are easing which is making me worried - even though I'm grateful I'm not queasy anymore! Still so tired though Sad

Scan isn't until a week on Friday which still seems ages away... having serious anxiety there won't be anything there or not good news, even though I've no reason to think otherwise

butterybollocks · 01/05/2017 08:07

My symptoms are coming and going now too. I felt fine on Friday and then awful on Saturday!

Loving the tips for migraines. I've had two bad ones so far and have felt really ill, so I have sympathy with all of you!

I told my best friend yesterday who was amazing and completely understood that I'm feeling anxious. Then told my mum in the evening...we thought she'd guessed but she was completely surprised Grin

Scan is two weeks tomorrow. Am pretty nervous about it and it still feels like it's ages away.

Zampa · 01/05/2017 08:31

For those suffering from headaches, I downloaded a white noise/migraine music app in my last pregnancy. I was very sceptical but playing it for 15 minutes whilst walking in fresh air always helped.

DuRezidal · 01/05/2017 08:53

I have my scan tomorrow... eeek

Foggymist · 01/05/2017 09:26

DuRezidal mine is tomorrow too, even though I'm only 11 weeks. No childcare for it as of yet, dammit.

Topsyloulou · 01/05/2017 09:33

Mine is tomorrow too, 8.10am!

Foggymist · 01/05/2017 09:44

My appointment is 9.30, last time this booking in appointment took 3.5 hours but it just can't tomorrow, I'll be rushing off to pick up ds or have him with me (unthinkable). Going to get there for 9 as it's first come first served crap!

MrsGB2225 · 01/05/2017 10:45

foggy, im taking my son to the booking in appointment and scan. I'll just make sure i have loads of snacks and the iPad is fully charged!

Foggymist · 01/05/2017 10:50

Taking him will not be a suitable option for me, he won't sit still, and the last thing I need is more stress on my blood pressure. 2-3 hours attempting to contain him in a seat will not happen!

Hazandduck · 01/05/2017 11:48

I'm a cold flanneler too! 12 weeks today according to my early scan, hoping to get my scan date through in the next few days!
Good luck for the upcoming scans everyone Smile

TeaAndPjs · 01/05/2017 11:58

I'm still waiting for nausea to hit me, I had 2 days of it real bad early on but now just feel a bit off when hungry, mostly in afternoon and tend to eat continuously for 4-5 hours!!

DuRezidal · 01/05/2017 13:45

I will be 11w 6d @Foggymist

It's at 12.30 but I am a bit nervous which I wasn't with my previous pregnancy at all. But I am 5 years older now (34) so higher risks.
