Hi grumpy I'm 6+4 too, and feeling stressed today that I don't feel as pregnant, but maybe just as busier at work...had a call from doctor that need to increase my thyroid medication and high tsh is linked to higher miscarriage which is stressing me. Early scan on Friday, can't come soon enough but aslo so nervous!

Can't wait for 2nd trimester ladies! This one is tough with worry!

Congrats glasto
Thinking of you amazing and staying positive!

JCHatchling · 19/04/2017 21:29

Can't believe we've posted 1,500 messages already!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 19/04/2017 21:31

Thanks JC I'm hoping it's just my body having adjusted to the new hormone levels. I fly to the US in 5 days. Eek.

BeeMama2017 · 19/04/2017 21:34

I have a question - is anyone using a pregnancy tracker app and if so do you have any recommendations?

Yep I'm feeling freezing too! Also really spitty which is gross but apparently a symptom! Nausea comes and goes in waves but only actually been sick once - it was because I got too hungry so I've been trying to constantly snack which seems to have helped. Also I've usually got a massive sweet tooth but at the mo even the thought of chocolate makes me feel sick. Thanks hormones!

Amazing, sorry to hear your scan didn't go as you planned, fingers crossed for you.

Zaberwocky oh god you must be miserable! I'd invite you round for a bath but my DH managed to flood the bathroom last week so there's a risk it could fall through the ceiling!

FeedMyFaceWithBattenberg · 19/04/2017 21:39

Hello everyone!
I have a question.
When I will start to show?
As I've mentioned here before, I'm getting married soon (24th May)
And am worried I won't get my dress on 😬😬🙈

JCHatchling · 19/04/2017 21:45

I think if it's your first, it won't be until 12-16 weeks

BeeMama2017 · 19/04/2017 21:55

@feedmyface me too!! 11th June here and worried about my tight fishtail dress not fitting anymore!

I mean of course we're ecstatic about being pregnant but it could've come at a more convenient time instead of with 2 months left of wedding planning stress!

FeedMyFaceWithBattenberg · 19/04/2017 23:09

@BeeMama2017 it's a bloody disaster!
I feel so much more... wobbly!!
I have my dress fitting on Monday.
She'll have to work her magic on it!!

BirdBrain85 · 20/04/2017 06:59

Good lord guys, I finally faced up to how fat I feel and looked in the mirror today. I was 8 stone 8 when I got pregnant, and okay I've put on 2lbs but I seriously have a bump going on - how is this possible at 6+5!? I don't even think it's bloat because this is first thing in the morning and that's usually when I look my thinnest Confused

Mrsbluebell17 · 20/04/2017 07:18

Bird I'm the same! I need to try and lose a couple of lbs again and hope the bump isn't as noticeable for a bit longer until we get to the 'safety zone'.

I'm off swimming today, I am ok to go swimming aren't I?

leighdinglady · 20/04/2017 07:19

bluebell swimming (or any exercise) is good as long as you keep at a conversational pace. Don't get out of breath

leighdinglady · 20/04/2017 07:21

F**king yessssss!!! I don't know why but last night I convinced myself I was out. Lack of symptoms causing me to stress. Just got my 3+ at exactly 5 weeks. Must stop POAS now

MaryShelley1818 · 20/04/2017 07:34

Congratulations on the 3+ Leigh!
I'm going to go and buy some more today and test again as mine is 2-3wks and I can't sleep I'm so worried about it. 5+5 today so hopefully it'll change over the weekend! Xx

BirdBrain85 · 20/04/2017 07:35

Bluebell Oh thank goodness haha I thought I had some giant baby growing. I did a quick google and apparently being thin can mean you show earlier Hmm Grin

Leigh Woohoo!!! So chuffed for you!

I've also got a sore throat this morning Sad my asthma starting playing up yesterday so it makes sense. Really annoying though as I didn't want to be using inhalers if I didn't have to (I know they say they're safe but probably already suffering from precious firstborn syndrome let's be honest).

Beardy1 · 20/04/2017 07:40

bee I use the ovia pregnancy app and really like it. What is everyone else using?

leighdinglady · 20/04/2017 07:43

Good luck Mary. Make sure you do it first thing in the morning and let us know xx

MaryShelley1818 · 20/04/2017 07:43

I'm using Ovia too...I used it when ttc so it was the natural progression Smile

MaryShelley1818 · 20/04/2017 07:45

Thank you Leighdinglady xx I'm hoping it was due to dilute urine...I'd already peed 3 times in the night so it was very pale straw coloured! Xx

DoctorDonnaNoble · 20/04/2017 07:50

Bird - it's really important to keep using inhaler if you need it. Asthma can change during pregnancy so keep a close eye (mine stayed pretty much the same).
Interestingly when I had DS my oxygen sats went down to 80 and they kept asking me if I was out of breath. I was fine. I've had some really serious asthma attacks in the past! But they remained convinced I had a clot on my lungs (I didn't!). Basically, keep an eye on what's going on and don't feel scared about pointing out what's normal for you.

MaryShelley1818 · 20/04/2017 07:52

I've just watched a video on FB of a catfish swallowing another fish whole and it made me gag and retch! Is this the start of nausea?? Lol!

TootsyBella84 · 20/04/2017 07:56

Yay congrats on the 3+ Leigh

So my nausea officially turned to sickness this morning!! Yay!! Not!! 🤢

Oh and I may have accidentally bid on a pair of maternity jeans last night on ebay and I may have accidentally won. They are pretty cool though! Blush

Hope everyone is doing good

BirdBrain85 · 20/04/2017 07:59

Donna Thank you for that - my worst fear is it happening in the next 9 months. I can go stretches with nothing (fingers crossed I do) but when I do get unwell it happens very quickly. I'll keep an eye on everything today and if things get worse I'll get myself seen. Yours sounds very severe! Sats of 80! Sometimes it's amazing how we don't know we're feeling all that ill with it.

Lixon · 20/04/2017 08:10

Congratulations on your 3+ leighding!! Must be such a relief that things are progressing well :)

Echoing what Donna said, do take your inhaler @birdbrain. I suffer from really bad allergies in pregnancy so have a nasal spray As welll as my usual asthma inhaler which isn't ideal but while I can minimise use of the nasal spray the inhaler is a must.

Tootsy hopefully the new jeans slightly make up for the sickness? My nausea is definitely getting worse but no vomiting yet..

The what to expect app isn't great so I think I will download Ovia! The book expecting better is definitely also worth a read for anyone who hasn't seen it, factual info about the real risks of caffeine, alcohol, miscarriage etc.

TipTop333 · 20/04/2017 08:13

Feedmyface I was visibly pregnant by 12 weeks with my first but I may be a minority in that respect.

Sorry everyone I have been absent - lurking when I can but I'm on holiday so not been able to catch up properly. I will when I get back!

Hope everyone is well

Kungfubaby · 20/04/2017 09:01

Congrats on the 3+ @leigh. Might have to take another test myself, if only to convince DH that this is really happening! He's been indifferent at best so far...

How's everyone sleeping? 2:30am seems to be my new wake-up time and takes me ages to get back to sleep. Unsure if it's just just hormones or general anxiety - probably both. So I'm exhausted with DS(3) to entertain. TV is working so far, but I've promised swimming later, what was I thinking?

Have a good day everyone Brew
