Try not to worry amazing. Last time I was pg I was a whole week behind what I thought, despite knowing exactly when i ovulated! It must have just taken ages to float around and find a nice landing spot.

Good luck x

runthemileyourein · 19/04/2017 10:39

Amazing please try not to worry. An ob once explained to me that some fertilized eggs take longer to travel down the Fallopian tube and implant. Did they take any blood to measure your hcg levels?

Hello to all newcomers! Struggling to keep up with this thread it moves so quickly!

amazingrobot · 19/04/2017 10:40

You're all lovely. Thank you. That's interesting Leigh and zabe - although I know when I conceived I do wonder about implantation for a few reasons. The cb digi have always put me behind where i thought I was but have consistently increased and it took ages to get a strong positive on the ic. Also if the bleeding had been implantation bleeding I would've expected it to have stopped before 5 weeks but if I'm earlier it could be I suppose.

So much bloody time to speculateConfusedSad

amazingrobot · 19/04/2017 10:41

And yes I did get bloods but as they lost my previous there is nothing to compare them to.

amazingrobot · 19/04/2017 10:41

It was a 5mm sac by the way.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 19/04/2017 10:44

Amazing my scan at 5+2 measured only 4x5mm. Fingers crossed for you x

amazingrobot · 19/04/2017 10:50

Thanks grumpy. Was there a yoke sac?

amazingrobot · 19/04/2017 10:52

Yolk even!

Zaberwocky · 19/04/2017 10:59

Amazing I completely understand how horrible the waiting and the uncertainty is Sad

All that really helped me was being on here, being off work and pottering round the house to distract myself. And a good nextflix series.

glitteryvibes · 19/04/2017 11:03

Try to keep positive amazing in the early weeks its so easy to make tiny mistakes on measuring as well as your dates not being quite what you thought they were, a few days out on each can put you a week behind where you think you are which can cause all kinds of panic.

Are they going to repeat your bloods in 48 hours then as they lost the first lot? That should give you a good idea before your next scan. Fingers crossed for you!

glastogal · 19/04/2017 11:17

So frustrating amazing! Stay strong though, hopefully next week you will get a much more reassuring result!! Wishing you all the luck 🍀🍀

YouBoggleMyMind · 19/04/2017 11:32

Hi ladies, can I join?

5+2 with baby number 1 Smile
Got brown spotting but been told not to worry and keep an eye on it if it changes. Feeling tired but otherwise good.
Got an early scan 4th May and I'll be 7+4 I think. Nervous as this is a clomid baby and was the last round before other options.

glastogal · 19/04/2017 11:34

My scan went well, we saw a heartbeat and were measured at 8+1 (although really I'm 7+5). I feel reassured now and am looking forward to my booking in appt tomorrow

MaryShelley1818 · 19/04/2017 11:43

Congratulations Glasto, glad everything went well xx

ERog84 · 19/04/2017 11:53

Can I ask why everyone seems to be getting early scans? Are you paying for them privately or are your gp/midwife referring you? I'm 4+3 today and was under a specialist on my third clomid cycle but no one has mentioned an early scan to me??

MummyHenman2be · 19/04/2017 12:01

Congrats @YouBoggleMyMind - I am 5w 2 days too and have had brown spotting too!

I've paid to have an early scan on 30th April so will be 7 weeks exactly!

MaryShelley1818 · 19/04/2017 12:03

I've paid for an early reassurance scan on 1st May, and then another private scan and NIPT testing on 23rd May.
Previous mc and my age place me at high risk x

glastogal · 19/04/2017 12:06

Erog - I had an early scan because I got pregnant through IVF and the fertility clinic do a scan at 6/7 weeks to confirm the pregnancy so they can discharge to midwife care!

ja73 · 19/04/2017 12:13

ERog84 - I've paid for an early scan privately. The good ole NHS here doesn't offer a free one until 12 weeks. My age and my paranoia that its just trapped wind (!) mean I want some reassurance. It's worth it, I think, if it gives you some certainty and hopefully peace of mind.

Annie1290 · 19/04/2017 12:16

I will be having an early scan as I've had a previous ectopic and they scan as precaution to make sure it's in the right place the next time. I also might have another private scan to reassure in a few weeks as I'm very anxious and want to tell family around 9/10 weeks so would like a scan just before to confirm everything's ok. I'm a worrier and a planner!

YouBoggleMyMind · 19/04/2017 12:25

We get an early scan as I'm under the fertility clinic. I'll then be released to the NHS like any normal pregnancy.
I'm pretty excited, just need to keep my cool a little bit Smile

leighdinglady · 19/04/2017 12:33

I'm paying privately for a scan at exactly 7 weeks as I'm paranoid and waiting until 12 weeks seems impossible

Zaberwocky · 19/04/2017 12:59

Erog referral from my GP. I have a history of miscarriages, and severe endometriosis around and in my tubes. I've been told I'll always get an early scan as I'm at a higher risk of an ectopic than some others.

Zaberwocky · 19/04/2017 12:59

That and the early bleeding which I seemed to selectively forget there for a second Grin

Zaberwocky · 19/04/2017 13:01

Eeekkkk Glasto how exciting!

Go on then. What animal/insect did yours resemble Wink ?
