Congratulations tea - wonderful wonderful news!!! And as much detail as you can face!

yellow my best friend was induced with first baby at 39w due to pre eclampsia. Had pessary etc but then needed drip. She described it as 'fine'!!! Just had gas & air. Think she went from drip to delivery in about 6hrs. Was home 24hrs later. She said she wants to be induced again this pregnancy as she liked knowing when things would start!

Hoping if I'm induced it will be a similar experience!!!

FoxMulder · 14/04/2017 20:49

Congratulations tea!!!!!!!

yellowismyfavourite · 14/04/2017 20:54

Congratulations @teainbed that's lovely news and a good size

Thank you everyone for your induction stories... that makes me feel a lot better!

dreamofhungarianlanterns · 14/04/2017 20:54

Wonderful news tea so happy to hear of your safe and happy arrival. If you have any spare moments do keep us up to date with how you all are Flowers

savagehk · 14/04/2017 20:56

Bizarre how different trusts have different views on water birth too. I was labouring in the pool with a drip in, but it wasn't the induction drip. No issues with me getting it wet. They won't let you labour in water if you're induced here though, as induction means labour ward not MLU and there are no pools in MLU (plus I think they want the continual monitoring and they didn't have the remote wireless thingy last time I was in).

@beanturnipandspud I agree moving house past 30 weeks seems complex, although I'm reliably informed it happens all the time! I guess it's one of the reasons they give us our own notes!HmmConfused

@yellowismyfavourite That's a bit of a shock, hopefully it's all straightforward, it's exciting to think you might meet your baby in just a few days! Smile

@teainbed many congratulations that's wonderful news, hope you're enjoying your newborn cuddles and that you get home as soon as possible Flowers

Rustler74 · 14/04/2017 21:38

@teainbed that's fantastic news! Congratulations ! I hope you feel like superwoman now xxx I can't wait to hear the name and see a photo! Did you know the gender in advance or was it all a surprise? We will let you fall in love with your baby boy even more FlowersStarBear

WishIWasSleeping · 14/04/2017 21:38

Sipper - your friends induction story sounds just like mine! I'm also hoping for an induction again this time around.
Yellow -Pessary broke my waters evening before, drip for contractions following day. Drip to baby in around 6-8ish hours, and discharged within 24 hrs of birth, on a bank holiday. Smile

Tea! - Congratulations!! Do share a pic when you have one? Flowers Hope you're feeling euphoric! And that's a good size for an 'early' baby! Well done! x

Hope the rest of you are enjoying your weekends. x

Tickyboovicki · 14/04/2017 21:52
