Hi @Bethany0903 👋

Barnes79 · 13/04/2017 15:24

@teainbed keeping fingers crossed for you and bubs. Hopefully it all goes smoothly for you Smile

mrscrocopop · 13/04/2017 15:24

Good luck teainbed. You're well on the way to meeting your baby. Xxx

EsmesBees · 13/04/2017 15:26

Welcome Bethany.

Oh tea sounds like we will have a first May thread baby soon then! Good that you are feeling safe, and they are looking after you.

1004Rise · 13/04/2017 15:26

Oh @teainbed I don't know whether to be happy or sad for you.... If you feel more comfortable in the hospital then that has to be a good thing and on the plus side I guess it means you get to meet your baby soon which is really exciting!!! You do sound very calm about it all, much better state than I'd be in in your situation!! (Maybe hurry up though, we've only got about 270 ish posts left on this thread which at the rate we go at we might not meet the baby on this one WinkSmile)Flowers

MrsJW15 · 13/04/2017 15:37

Good luck teainbed! Exciting that you should meet your baby soon. Keep us posted, and I hope the ward stays nice and quiet for you.

savagehk · 13/04/2017 15:41

Hi Bethany

I've just found this in my maternity notes, and thought I would attach to help anyone who has to do their birth plan alone. Hope it helps!!

Tea! Your getting an easter bunny! Very pleased your in the right place and getting good care.

Rasberry, the hamper for tor husband is lovely, your a very very lovely wife! I'd put something like a pot noodle or some pop tarts in there, maybe a Netflix trial if you don't have it already?

I'm not sure if we have discussed them before but it's just arrived and I'm really pleased with it. A cath kidston car seat blanket. Lots of my friend has them when I had my first and I always thought they looked good, liking that the pale colour will work well as a liner in the heat as our seat is dark grey. Link hopefully works!!

Hi @Bethany0903 CakeBrew

I can't see how to PM on the app so will log in later on computer to get added to fb group

Brightsmoke · 13/04/2017 16:42

Peas, is that one of the ones that wraps around OVER the car seat straps, making them safe for baby to be in? (as opposed to thick coats) hope that makes sense 😂

yellowismyfavourite · 13/04/2017 16:53

Good luck tea look forward to hearing about your baby's safe arrival
jenny hope it all stays quiet.
mighty am very impressed by tax returns at 5 am. .. I can barely remember my own name at that time... which doesn't sound good for when baby is here!!!
Welcome bethany
raspberry that's a gorgeous idea. Does your DH have any hobbies because the baby could get something linked to that? My DH is obsessed with playing cricket and with the season about to start that would be a good present... like a soft cricket ball or similar

Been having lots of low down pressure over last 48 hours... almost like needing to do a poo all the time (sorry for the TMI but I don't know how else to describe it!!!!) Am wondering if baby has moved down a bit more... I was 3/5 engaged last week. Also had lower back ache on and off and the BHs were awful overnight. Can't believe I could have 4 more weeks still!!!

peasandquiet · 13/04/2017 16:54

Bright that's exactly what it is. I still won't let my 2yo wear a coat in the car.
My last day at work today 🎉 Looking forward to two morning a week with toddler at nursery, not sure what I'll do with all the free time till baby comes.

Tickyboovicki · 13/04/2017 17:30

Hi Bethany 👋🏻

Tea glad your in the best place, loving the idea of an Easter delivery 😍🐰

Need to catch up properly as I've been out all day and you lot can chat! certainly feeling achey now though, trying to get 30 mins rest before we go out for dinner!

beanturnipandspud · 13/04/2017 17:44

autumn I discharged myself with Turnip. After staying over 24hours post birth because I was fed up of waiting for signatures. Yes mw visit you at home, from memory daily until baby is around 10days old and then they pass you over to health visitor team.
The post natal ward is 1 HUGE reason spud is being born at home. 3rd baby and will be the 1st time DH doesn't get shoved out of hospital and away from his baby when they're literally hours old. I labour at night, bean born at 9.40pm, DH sent home around 11pm. Turnip born at 2.56am, DH told to leave at 6am as visiting didn't start until 8am, he had to drive an hour home on his own when he had been awake with me! Not safe at all.

lullaby and autumn the community midwives don't discharge you until you've had a poo, up to 10 days later. I lied to them and told them I had. It is quite normal for me not to pop for up to 2 weeks!

teaspoon I had a sweep with bean on Friday he was born the following Wednesday, so I'd say pretty useless and it hurt me!

raspberry hopefully nothing serious and daily monitoring sounds like they are keeping an eye on you. So that is really good. Hope today's monitoring has gone ok for you 😚

That's as far as I've caught up ... yet to read today's posts and catch up on you insomniacs ... will be back shortly. Just going out for tea (dinner) with one of my good friends. 😘

jennymac31 · 13/04/2017 18:00

Good luck tea!

Finished work now and won't be heading back for 10 months. Still doesn't feel real but I'm sure it will sink in by tomorrow.

EsmesBees · 13/04/2017 18:12

Managed to fall over on my way to the tube and hit bump on a lamppost. Despite being about 5 mins away from Pimlico tube and loads of people walking past no one stopped to see if I was ok. Rang triarge and they said go straight to my nearest hospital, so am currently strapped to a bed in St Thomas's for monitoring. Pretty sure all is fine but will need another anti d injection. They want to retest my blood type despite it being all over my notes so may well be here a while.

Congrats on the last day peas. That blanket looks great. I'm not a huge fan of Catherine kidson but I rate their pram blankets and fold up changing mats.

I had two sweeps with DD and although they didn't hurt they also did nothing to bring on labour.

MrsJW15 · 13/04/2017 18:26

Hope everything is ok with you and bump Esmes

yellowismyfavourite · 13/04/2017 18:34

Congratulations on last days peas and jenny
Hope all is ok esmes that's why I hated London... can't believe no one stopped to help you Angry

Rustler74 · 13/04/2017 18:41

Good luck @teainbed, you have a bunch of supporters out here!
Very welcome @Bethany0903

Wow you've been active today ladies!
@RasperryInAMelon love your idea x baby massage book or oil is a great idea. How about a hugging blanket for intimate moments or the footprint set for him to do?

34 weeks tomorrow and even though I was looking forward in a way to the trip to in laws in West Sussex I'm now relieved it's not gonna happen. My MIL is not well which is a shame and I'm rather worried about her as she is not one to look after herself too well (way too long to explain), but we are missing a joint visit with my BiL, his wife and our 21 month old cute niece. It would have been too busy, but I do enjoy their company.

PeachIcedT · 13/04/2017 19:05

Oh @EsmesBees that must've been a shock, sorry to hear no one stopped to check if you were ok, I hope everything is ok.
