I see there's a thread for early November due dates but I can't see that anyone's started one for the later dates yet. Not sure yet if this one will stick around but if it does it'll be our DC3, due around the 18th.

Someone come chat to me?!

I really struggled with the pregna care tablets when I had DS1. They made me feel so sick and I would reach/be sick every time I took them. Even now the though of them makes me feel sick. This time round I'm just taking folic acid and trying to eat healthily.

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 01/04/2017 22:53

I have the pregnacare plus, and I know they say to take it with a meal but I've been having them just before bed.
That way I can lie down until the room stops spinning after I swallow them

HopingForALittleOne · 01/04/2017 23:23

Thanks for replies xx I just took the folic acid tonight. I'll see how it goes with pregnacare - no point having them if I can't swallow them! Good to know I might not need to have them with meal though xx

AGnu · 02/04/2017 00:40

I'm just taking folic acid & a vit D spray.

Feeling dreadful in general. It takes me until about midday to get passed the first wave of nausea & then 2 hours after lunch I start to feel dodgy again. Evenings are about the only time I feel vaguely normal so I end up staying up late which I think is making it worse! So jealous of those with very few symptoms, although I do panic a bit whenever the symptoms subside even a little!

I'm just taking folic acid, pregnacare made me so nauseous last time.

TeaAndPjs · 02/04/2017 12:06

zampa thank you! Sorry I forgot location, paisley,Scotland

I didn't bother with pregnacare as I struggled with it in past, I'm just taking healthy start folic acid and vits, smaller and easier to swallow!!

My symptoms have all calmed right down now, barely there which is freaking me out a little, scan Tomor and it can't come quick enough!

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 02/04/2017 13:20

Today in Morrisons I discovered that you can buy multipacks of mini bags of gingerbread men. I'm hoping those are going to help me in work next week - more discrete than a giant pack of gingernuts

Hi @mcthubbers - snap re EDD!

Had my booking in this morning, at 6+1 I think! Was emotional as all started to feel much more real now!

Have been taking pregnacare and hadn't occurred to me that that could be making me feel sick! Just eating anything and everything I fancy to help the nausea.

Also not told anyone except parents yet and was hard to hide at a birthday party last night where I felt rubbish!

Am quite nervous as TTC#1 and know lots of people with lots of issues but as midwife said you can't control it so have to try and stay positive :)

Happy Sunday all!

Zampa · 02/04/2017 16:44

Unthinkingly ate brie at lunchtime ... Realised about an hour later that it's on the banned list!

Can't change it now but must remember to think about food more carefully!

Have successfully cut back on caffeine and zero booze but it's the other sneaky things to look out for.

butterybollocks · 02/04/2017 17:30

Nicecuppa I had some of the kids organix gingerbread men yesterday, they were good as not too sweet.

In my first pregnancy I felt sick all the time and found the bottle green ginger and lemon cordial really useful, it's clear so you can pretend you're drinking water Wink

Have had a really busy day today and am exhausted! Hope everyone has had the sunshine today and has made the most of it for the vitamin d

TeaAndPjs · 02/04/2017 18:07

Can't remember who said earlier about letter saying obstetrics, well my booking in app says same on letter and 12 weeks scan says obs ultrasound

thecrab · 02/04/2017 20:25

Hi all, felt more myself today than I have in weeks! Managed to put makeup and clothes on before midday XD went out for a lovely long walk with my family and ran 5 miles this evening. So grateful for today as this week has been so hard! Also had a private scan yesterday at 7+1 and saw the little bean and heard its heartbeat :)

Hope everyone else has a nice end of the week

harrietm87 · 02/04/2017 21:04

I haven't really felt sick at all yet - hope this isn't a cause for concern! I'm 6+1 today - anyone else without nausea? I've had kind of sick feeling hunger but that's it.

Good news on the scan crab!

I survived my 13 hour flight (2 hr delay urgh!) and so happy to be home! Not looking forward to being at work though!

Hazandduck · 02/04/2017 23:53

harriet I haven't had sickness, just extreme and I mean extreme tiredness. OH and I went out today to view wedding marquees and when I got home I sat on the edge of the bed just to take off my dungarees and change in to my pyjamas. Woke up to OH looming over me laughing as I had just fallen flat asleep where I sat, still in my dungarees with my handbag on! It's so not like me to fall asleep like that. I've slept all afternoon and now I'm annoyingly awake.

Did your mother suffer much? Nobody in my family has ever had morning sickness. Hopefully it's just normal for me. I've had moments of nausea and queasiness, this morning I was looking at someone's Instagram account and for some inexplicable reason their pictures, the fact they didn't smile or change facial expression in pictures, made me feel sick! I have no idea why! But as soon as I eat that feeling goes.

I'm a Harriet too, I'm '88 though :)

lydiangel83 · 03/04/2017 09:11

@thecrab good to hear the feeling does get better! Can I ask why you chose to have an early scan and what could you see?! I'm 6 + 2 and 12 weeks seems such a long time to wait! But probably best I am patient as no real reason to have early scan!

TeaAndPjs · 03/04/2017 10:16

Harriet I'm 6+3 today and except for 1 day of feeling yucky I've been fine, still get some dull ache cramping now and again but other than that I'm 100% fine which is scaring me but scan in a few hours so hopefully all good

NovemberBaby2017 · 03/04/2017 10:30

Hi Everyone, Just posted a topic but seen here some of you are having same feelings.

Im now 6+3 and not had symptoms for ages. The ones i had were just mild cramps. I don't feel pregnant, no sickness or sore boobs. Is this normal.

Thinking of getting an early scan. Is it worth it? How much will you see? Enough to give reassurance?

Hazandduck · 03/04/2017 10:31

Good luck for your scan teaandpjs! Is it a private scan? I'm still trying to persuade my OH to let us have a private scan, he really doesn't want to.
Good news about your scan and feeling better crab :) I just want to wake up and be at 12 weeks now! The first trimester sucks! X

TeaAndPjs · 03/04/2017 11:31

november if you are 7+ plus weeks you should defo see heartbeat etc tho visible from 6 weeks, if you're going private I wouldn't do it at 6 weeks incase it has to be repeated

hazand not private, I asked for it as I've had previous MCs and my consultant was really good about it tho didn't expect it just as early

Hazandduck · 03/04/2017 12:03

Ah that's good you've got a supportive consultant. I've not actually seen my GP yet but she was really supportive after my MCs so maybe I could ask her to refer me for a scan. X

TeaAndPjs · 03/04/2017 12:41

Defo ask, worse than can say is no xx

NoCatsHere · 03/04/2017 14:03

Harriet I have no symptoms either so don't worry.

november this is my 4th pregnancy. My first 2 went without a hitch really. I was a lucky one with absolutely no symptoms. And I mean nothing, no sickness, no nausea, no sore boobs, no growing boobs, no tiredness, no indigestion later on. Nothing. If it hadn't been for a bump it would of been impossible for me to know! Then I miscarried my 3rd pregnancy last month, and now I'm pregnant again I have zero symptoms again. i did have an early scan a week ago, for reassurance and dating, but last 2 times I've just had to hold out for the 12 week one. I think if you can afford it and want to then have a private one. Maybe wait a little at 6+3 you might see something and a heart beat but you'd be better in a weeks time. I was seen at roughly 6 weeks and had to have an internal scan.I'm

stuckinny · 03/04/2017 14:25

This is my scan from last week. I was 7+6. We could see a heartbeat (or DP and the tech could. I was too far away from the screen even with my glasses on).

November I had absolutely no symptoms with DS although have felt a little queasy this time. My mum and sister both suffered terribly.

I'm convinced this one is a girl. My skin is a mess too. The blood draw for the harmony test is in two weeks so I'll know soon whether I'm right or not.

I hope everyone had a good weekend.

harrietm87 · 03/04/2017 14:28

Thanks nocats, tea and haz. I'm just extra nervous because of 2 mcs. A friend is now 20 weeks and has had no symptoms whatsoever (apart from missed period and only now getting a bit of a bump) - lucky her!

I've got my GP appt today and will ask for an early scan - because of the mcs and because I didn't have a period after the last one my dates are a bit uncertain). Hope he says yes.

TeaAndPjs · 03/04/2017 14:44

Told them straight away that I was expecting doc to get me app later as I was early on etc and dates could be out due to 2 positive opks a week apart!

Well they could see sac and see something in sac but it's either a non continuing pregnancy or it's too early which they think is the case so I'm back on the 20th for a repeat scan but then said that was another (what she thought sac) that had something in it but wasn't as big as 1st sac, said it could be coincidence and just a small blood pool with tissue in it OR ITS A 2ND PREGNANCY!!!!!!
