Mid-Late November due dates

AGnu · 13/03/2017 16:35

I see there's a thread for early November due dates but I can't see that anyone's started one for the later dates yet. Not sure yet if this one will stick around but if it does it'll be our DC3, due around the 18th.

Someone come chat to me?!

Ok thanks foggy I feel a little better Confusedxx

Mutiny0nTheBunty · 17/03/2017 23:41

Hi All

Checking in after getting BFP today eek!

Currently: 4+4
EDD: 20 November
Number 2 (DS is 6)

Joined mumsnet in 2009 when pg with DS (back when all this were green fields etc) and still going strong Smile

Am also trying to stop myself getting too nervous in case something goes wrong. Have been known to be a worrier...

Sore boobs and random cramps but I think that was the same as last time (can't remember!). Managed to miss all other pregnancy related ailments except acid reflux so crossing fingers I'm lucky again.

Booking in appointment is set for 4 April

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 18/03/2017 06:42

Foggy, I know. She was absolutely tiny before and during most of it, but had diabetic complications, fluid retention and too much amniotic fluid.
Definitely the exception and not the norm!
Sorry to have freaked you out hoping. I've googled and googled and most other people seem fine so I'm definitely being over paranoid.

I think I am about everything though, I was given some salted espresso martini chocolates on Thursday and I'm genuinely considering letting DH have them even though I know they would be fine. Plus I've told DH I won't clean out our pet chickens for the next 8 months, or even give them a cuddle, in case of salmonella. Again, hugely unlikely!

Hi Bunty, welcome to the thread SmileHopefully as a second time around mum you can bring more common sense and less panic/paranoia to the thread than I am!

Mummyagainmaybe · 18/03/2017 07:25

Cuppa, there's lots of things that stressed me out first time around. Worried I'm going to be complacent, because I've got lots more distraction with a 2 year old bounding around than lack of concern this time around. So yeah, being tuned into first time pregnancy vibes will probably do me good.

No soft cheese, blue cheese, undercooked eggs etc. Off the caffeine (already had headaches from withdrawal.) I think they're still using the yolk just now so got a couple of weeks to get in pregnancy diet shape if I've got the times right.

DuRezidal · 18/03/2017 07:26

I left my belly bar in all through my last pregnancy without any issues at all...

Foggymist · 18/03/2017 08:59

You can have runny eggs, I believe in the UK it's once they're Lion Stamped, that means nothing to me. I just use eggs that are stamped and from a reputable supplier here. I eat cheeses once they're pasteurised. There's very little you really absolutely have to avoid.

MrsGB2225 · 18/03/2017 09:34

It's pate I miss the post!

MrsGB2225 · 18/03/2017 09:34

Foggymist · 18/03/2017 09:50

I know, delicious delicious pate. I ate it once during my first pregnancy, at Christmas. Couldn't resist my mum's homemade chicken liver one! I figured one little portion would hopefully not overdose on vitamin A!

Mummyagainmaybe · 18/03/2017 10:37

Just retested and the line's much darker.

Will have to reread all the cautionary advice on the NHS website again lol. I didn't think this would happen again :)

Hope everyone's well. I've been feeling a little nauseous but could be the cold I've got. I don't enjoy not being able to have normal medical interventions but free dentistry (in the uk) is ace.

AGnu · 18/03/2017 11:00

I pay very little attention to diet restrictions in pregnancy. The chance of getting ill from soft cheese, etc. is very low & there's an even lower chance of complications. Plus, I gave up caffeine years ago, don't drink much alcohol, don't smoke & don't eat large quantities of swordfish... My diet really doesn't need to change much anyway! In theory I try to eat more healthy stuff but in reality I've eaten at least 8 bags of pretzels in the last 2 weeks, on top of my usual food, just to stave off the nausea! Blush

It seems to be calming down a bit now so hopefully I can get into healthier habits, I'm just terrified of developing the debilitating nausea I had with DS2. I was already struggling to function at this point so hopefully it's a good sign. I hardly had any symptoms with DS1 so I'm hoping for enough mild symptoms that I feel pregnant, but not as severe as with DS2!

I'm 5 weeks today. I've not called the midwife yet & I've seen both of my best friends but not said anything - this is a big deal for me! I'm feeling very protective, as if I can't mention it to anyone because then it would be "out there" & not in my control anymore. Because I have complete control now... Hmm Another reason I'm avoiding seeing any midwives is because I don't know who's still there. I had a bad experience with one when I was in labour with DS1 & it triggered an anxiety attack when she saw me for a routine appt when I was pregnant with DS2. I wrote & asked that she not be involved in my care unless it was an emergency situation. A similar thing happened with DS2 so now I'm paranoid about seeing either of them. DH has got Weds afternoon off so I'll pull myself together & sneak off to the clinic to find out who's still there & arrange a booking in appt. If we could afford it I'd hire a private midwife, or at least a doula to stand up for me a little!

@AGnu lots of similarities to you, I saw two of my best friends TWICE and said nothing, I'm amazed! I go from dying to tell them to not wanting to, once I tell them I feel like there's pressure for it to work out because it's real, which is ridiculous because obviously they'd be there for me whatever happens.

I also have a lot of anxious feelings towards the hospital and a few of the midwives, one in particular I will be asking to have no dealings with due to how she treated me when my son was two days old. I had a pretty rough experience last time, prolonged hospital stay with no clear answers, having to fight to get answers and tbh coming very close to losing my mind with the whole thing. I'm not looking forward to appointments at all, just going in there will make me feel awful. Going to look into a doula, or some sort of help.

Mutiny0nTheBunty · 18/03/2017 11:41

Yes I've already reminded myself of all the food that's off the menu.

V excited that Camembert is ok as long as it's baked. I'm definitely ok with that one Grin

Just reminding myself how impatient I am with pregnancy. Think it's because I don't really feel pregnant yet

MrsAlexKarev · 18/03/2017 12:44

How is everyone feeling? I'm already getting morning sickness 😢
I had 2 running eggs for brekkie this morning and if there was pate around I would probably have a little taste 😂

Foggymist · 18/03/2017 12:54

I'm feeling fine so far, lots of mild cramps and stretching pains, bad nightmares and night sweats, the last two are not helped by my almost two year old being a bit sick and awake coughing or feeding 6-8 times at night. I'm also ridiculously hungry.

I had to have runny poached eggs for breakfast after talking about them Grin

MrsAlexKarev · 18/03/2017 13:03

Ahh I know that feeling, my 9mo still feeds constantly in the night!
Hope your DC is better soon! ❤

dogdinner · 18/03/2017 14:29

Hey everyone,
Thread is filling up with people nicely. Congratulations everyone.

I'm feeling a little sick today. Very nervous as my sickness was very very bad last time, I didn't leave the house for about 4/5 months last time because I was so ill. Did get pills in the end which helped so hoping to get support quickly if it happens again. My last GP was vile and not at all supportive but I've moved now so should be better.

I'm waiting to get to the 6/7 week make to contact midwife/GP not sure how it works here as I've moved to Wales since my last 2 kids.

DuRezidal · 18/03/2017 14:40

I keep getting night sweats too. I usually get these at the time of AF but have had them most nights since 4 weeks!

Mummyagainmaybe · 18/03/2017 14:53

Didn't have morning sickness first time round but been quite nauseous last few days. Hope everyone has a light time with the morning sickness etc.

I'm not booking in yet. Will wait a week and test again. I had to switch midwife last time and am not looking forward to meeting a new one. Would love if I could have my last one. She was just lovely.

Mutiny0nTheBunty · 18/03/2017 16:16

Definitely feeling nauseous today and didn't at all last time. Some slight cramps but less than yesterday.

Not liking this sickness one bit 🤢

DuRezidal · 18/03/2017 16:20

I feel like I am having more cramping today than I have done up to this point but it's not painful just a dull ache every so often.

I don't think I would normally notice things like this, I think I am just so conscious of anything in that region at the moment.

DryHeave · 18/03/2017 17:58

Hello all, we did two tests yesterday as couldn't believe our eyes. First timer here, feeling totally bewildered! Using calculator on internet going by my last period, it says due date of 23 November. All feels surreal. Symptoms have flooded in since the positives yesterday! Previously was just no period in sight and sore boobs.

HopingForALittleOne · 18/03/2017 19:46

Hello all, I'm getting moments of nausea but not continuous and not to to the stage I need to be sick . I've been getting some cramping each day between 3-5pm and then goes.

I can't decide if I'm genuinely more hungry because pregnant or if I just think I'm more hungry but constantly planning my next meal/snack hehe x

noelle85 · 18/03/2017 20:14

I think I'm the 24th of Nov?? Iud removed during my period in Jan..Feb period was late and lighter than usual so put it down to the removal. Got a really early positive result too. Still hasn't sunk in!

kimblesj · 18/03/2017 23:50

Can I join? I'm pregnant with number 5. Extremely nervous this time round. We had a horrific pregnancy with ds4 and he was born sleeping at 22 weeks in April last year.
Really happy to be pregnant again but very anxious and could do with some hand holding x
