Plus, I don't really do the whole pink and blue thing so I'm sure a baby boy will be ok in his big sister's babygros.

Rather annoyingly I have loads to the charity shop after my mc in December though, oops.

Its still a surprise but we just get it s few months early! Lol also we have names we have picked already and although i am not doing pink and blue i do want the pram etc to sway towards the sex of the baby

We are deffo finding out the gender-we are too impatient & I am a real planner so it suits to know. I totally get why you wouldn't as well tho.

We're going to find out mainly so we can get ds used to the idea of whether he's having a brother or sister. He asked me last night why my belly was getting bigger and if there was a baby in there. I had to tell him the truth!

I've just had to run out of a briefing I was leading at work to vomit. Definitely not a high point of my career.

I don't really want to know. My oh would like to, but he's said he wouldn't want to know without me wanting to. I guess we have a tonne of time to change our minds! I don't really know why I wouldn't want to know, other than I'm a sucker for tradition, so waiting seems more traditional!

Assuming all goes well with the scan tomorrow, then we will find out the sex when we have the Panorama blood tests next week, so by the time I'm 11 weeks we will know the sex and hopefully have ruled out a lot of the main chromosome syndromes. We found out the sex with our sons too, although from the old fashioned way of the 20 week scans. I found it help with bonding to know plus meant could buy clothes that I liked over several months rather than risking DH going shopping for clothes!! This time will definitely be good to know, if it's a boy we don't need much at all, if it's a girl then we need quite a lot as we don't have a massive amount of neutral stuff.

My oh really wants to find out, I'm ok with that. I've got to say the exhaustion is ramping up, in bed at 7:50 last night. The nausea is still pretty constant.

I'm really looking forward to getting to my 12 week scan want to see my little one again!

Telling the in laws this weekend, feel like I'm a teenager not a thirty something woman with a good job, settled long term relationship our own house and financially stable!!

Tigger not only did I make my oh tell his parents, I made him tell mine too!!! Haha! I was too scared!

Lol dancing same here!! We/he told my mum and I've been VERY clear he's telling his! He thinks it's hilarious and can't wait to see their reaction.

Having a bad day today, saw something on fb about my friends friend's dog dying and couldn't stop crying for about half an hour. I'm quite sensitive generally but never normally that bad! Also feel so tired and just empty as I keep being sick after dinner so have v little energy even first thing in the morning. Not sure what I can do about that as nothing seems to stay down post 7pm when I get home from work no matter how bland tasting it is!

Sorry to moan when others are having a tough time too but other than DH who is actually being really great, I don't really know who else to moan to!

This is the place to moan rachie! I'm sorry you're finding it so tough. Are you able to et first thing? This first trimester is so much harder than I would have ever imagined!!

DH really wants to find out but I really don't want to find out -although I am quite impatient so who knows at the scan!

I had a bit of cramping last night - just dull aches that only lasted a couple of seconds, I'm hoping its just stretching pains but I'm scared to Google because I made that mistake at the very start of finding out and every answer is bad news and spent the whole time worrying myself until we had the private scan and all was ok!

Yes it's so weird I seem to be absolutely fine up until about 3pm and then it kicks in hard and (tmi) all comes back up again! It's getting to the point now where I choose what to eat in the mornings and for lunch based I what it will taste like if/when it comes back up again six hours later!! Gross.com. Booking in on Fri so I will ask if MW has any suggestions!

We aren't finding out especially since I hate the whole pink and blue thing and since babies don't care what they wear then we would dress them pretty much the same any way mainly in animal onesies. It won't bother me if someone else is confused either as it isn't really their business what genitals the baby has 😂
Obviously each to their own and I understand if people will find out/ people who want to colour code, that's up to you and is a personal choice

We aren't finding out. DH wanted too originally but saw how strongly I felt and knew what was good for him conceeded.

I hate pink and blue for babies too so am keen to limit people's gifts to neutral colours which I much prefer!

Yellow and green are my favourite colours anyway so I will be buying those regardless! Nursery is also likely to be one of those colours...or both.. or polka dot!

Not decided for sure whether we'll find out. I always love surprises (DH hates them so is definitely on team 'find out'), and I'm not a colour-coded nursery kind of person, but my SIL told me that finding out was an amazing day for them and made it all feel more real. I know people in both camps though and all very pleased with what they chose to do, so think we will see what feels right at the time! Think I would probably keep it a surprise for everyone else if I did find out, though.

Autumn that's what we did with the boys, we knew but no one else did until they were born.

Good luck to you all re not having people buy boy clothes for a boy/girl for a girl. We had a neutral nursery and babygrows but rapidly amassed a collection of boy clothes. They don't have to be just blue to be boyish, but there is only so long that you can dress them in babygrows before they start to need real clothes and it just happens. We have clothes in every size up to 6-7 year olds in boys clothes and they have very strong opinions as to what they will or won't wear. Just like most girls we know that are massive fans of pink and purple and skirts and tights and dresses, even the most tomboyish girl in DS1's class loves pink, even her tennis racket is pink...

I'm happy for them to make their own mind up with clothes, I just don't want to dress them in solely pink or blue from birth. I wouldn't class myself as a tomboy but hated pink as a child and refused to wear trainers that had any hint of them on - quite a tricky task to locate plain ones! I'll wear pink now (I chose a bright pink hard hat and protective boots for work!) but don't like babies distinguished by a colour.

I also love babies in babygros and want to keep them in them for as long as possible - jeans on babies always look so uncomfortable.

We all have our own ideas I guess and we'll see what happens!

Anyone else suffering from indigestion after their evening meal? It lasts through to the following lunchtime for me and is so uncomfortable.

Haha of course it gets to a point where they have to wear real clothes, but for me it's the pink vs blue thing I hate, or things with 'mummy's little soldier' vs 'daddy's little princess' I hate, not jeans vs leggings 😆 But when they get to an age where they have likes and dislikes I wouldn't care if a girl liked pink or a boy liked camo, as long as it was their choice and they didn't just feel pressure from others in their class ( I was told girls couldn't play with dinosaurs... so I learnt all the dinosaur names and chose between palaeontology and zoology as my degree choices obviously!)

Private scan in about two hours now, I have never been so nervous for something in my entire life. Don't know what to expect and DP just doesn't know what to say...no matter what happens I am so grateful for this group - you have all kept me (relatively) sane up until this point! Fingers crossed x
