Im still able to sleep on my front for a few hours. Its bliss

WishIWasSleeping · 04/03/2017 08:20

Morning ladies.
I'm suffering this weekend. I feel so sick out of nowhere since yesterday afternoon. Plus my aches and pains are playing up awfully. Hopefully a couple of hours sleep whilst DH is playing with DD will help.
Esmes- I don't like sleeping on my front, but with the stitches last time after birth I needed too - as my boobs were soooo full I put hubbys body pillow around boobs (like a nest) and had a couple of extra pillows for my head and got to front sleep without squashing anything. It was bliss!
Teaspoon- I didn't know a lot about slings at the time so I just got a soft (ish) structure own brand Mothercare one. Did the job and was pretty comfy to be fair. I would still use it but my little puddings legs don't fit through the holes!
I'm not liking the fact I'm due in 10wks and still at work for 8... I worked the same last time but I didn't account for everything being worse this time! (Sleep, pain, aches) I'm just keeping in my head all the wise people that keep telling me as my labour was fairly quick last time (induced on drip) it'll be quicker this time.... because guesswork is law when pregnant! Oh, and I saw this yesterday and thought of all you fox mad people..! Smile

Bean I've PMd you about the FB group.

jennymac31 · 04/03/2017 09:10

Morning ladies

Definitely got out on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Feel quite annoyed and pissy and don't really know why. Woke up craving a cup of tea but had to stop drinking it after 2 sips as nausea kicked in again! Can already tell I'm gonna get on dh's nerves so I think it's going to be a long day.

EsmesBees · 04/03/2017 10:05

Sorry to hear about the sickness Jenny and wishI. Good tip about making a nest for the boobs!

Having a go at starting potty training DD today. Still in two minds about whether she's ready but really don't fancy it with a newborn.

MrsJW15 · 04/03/2017 11:11

I'm in Dublin and going to a wedding today. Will definitely be the most sober person there!

peasandquiet · 04/03/2017 11:39

GTT results and 28wk blood back and all normal, one less thing to worry about.
Those who have been to the baby show already this weekend did you see the new tutti bambini co -sleeper? It's about to come out at mothercare in the next few weeks, it has an incline if needed for reflux/congestion which I'd have really loved last time round!

coxsorangepippin · 04/03/2017 11:50

peas just looked that up online - when I saw the chicco (which looks similar) I was put off by the sharp rim that is left if you have the side down. Does this one avoid that problem? Cheers!

MrsJW15 · 04/03/2017 11:57

Would be interested to know what discounts were like at the baby show as well. Contemplating ordering a few things this week or waiting for the April baby show.

Teaspoon74 · 04/03/2017 12:10

Peas - great news re tests. As you say, means you can focus on the next thing!

MrsJW - have fun! And hope you have somewhere you can slope off to for a little lie down if you need one.

Wish & Jenny - hope the nausea abates! I'm resigned to it for the duration. 3 or 4 spews a day. Worried that bubs may be losing out on vitamins but out of my control if I can't keep stuff down!

Thanks Rasperry! Now I just need to remind myself how to access the main site ;) All on my phone on the app at the mo'.... will figure out today!

I made a note ages ago about who might be headed to the baby show this weekend. Are you ladies still planning on going along? Still hoping to get there on Sunday, DIY allowing:

Hi all I am at the baby show. Managed to order our uppavista and car seat and base for a discount.

Seems to be some good discounts and some others that are same online. I have been writing down prices and have just had a research online before heading back to make the purchase (or not!)

Just having a drink before I head back in there, i think it's worthwhile as you can have a closer look at everything all in one place Smile

vanilla8 · 04/03/2017 12:54

If there's anything questions let me know

peasandquiet · 04/03/2017 13:19

Cox I hadn't noticed that in the CNTM will have a look at one of those tomorrow and report back! good plan choice vanilla, we will be hoping to try a buggy board tomorrrow on a Vista, hopefully they have them there to demo too?

vanilla8 · 04/03/2017 13:57

Hi peas, didn't see the board on the vista or Cruz prams, we enquired about accessories and they have 10% off.

Biggest queue we have seen so far is for sleepyhead stand, must be a good discount, we already have one so didn't attempt to find out price

FoxMulder · 04/03/2017 16:08

Major sympathies tea. I had the sickness bad at the start but thankfully it has passed now. I read something that may or may not be bullshit regarding prrgnancy sickness being linked to magnesium deficiency. You can absorb it through your skin via a bath if you can't swallow supplements.

FoxMulder · 04/03/2017 16:14

What's the magic with the sleepyhead? It looks just like when you roll a towel up under the cot sheets (which in my limited experience did bugger all)

EsmesBees · 04/03/2017 16:26

That's exactly what it is fox. But they claim it's breathable fabric. They are magic though, we tried the towel under the sheet thing, did nothing, spent £90 on the sleepyhead and she slept on her own (well, ish, it was still in our bed) for the first time ever.

WishIWasSleeping · 04/03/2017 16:53

Uh, tea, I think if I'd been feeling like this all the way through I'd be on early mat leave already!
Think I'm just generally feeling crap. My mw keeps telling me I'm at risk of pE, so I'm going back to bed again to rest to see how things go. Hubby felt nauseous yesterday too, so hopefully it's just something unrelated.
Hope the rest of you are having a fab weekend!

Teaspoon74 · 04/03/2017 16:53

Thanks for the tip Fox. I'll give anything a go!!!

ShiniBerry · 04/03/2017 16:56

Holy smokes I'm off the chat for a week and just had to catch up on 11 pages on the old thread and 16 on the new thread!
Welcome to all the newbies and hugs to everyone feeling poorly. 31+2 today, still battling 3rd trimester nausea and vomiting :-(. Had a growth scan last week and baby's AC still off the charts at 97th centile. Third GTT came back normal (as expected) so I think we are pretty confident we'll have a chubby bubs on our hands!

We moved house last weekend and the entire week was spent unpacking and cleaning. DH did the majority of the packing (albeit at the last minute as he's a procrastinator), moving and unpacking and MIL also came over to help out so it's finally mostly done though we still have a load of things to organise. Now we can finally buy some baby stuff!!!

Teaspoon yes still planning to go to the baby show tomorrow. Hoping to pick up our UppaBaby, and possibly SnuzPod, Sleepyheads and breast pump. Vanilla thanks for the info! Did they preview the new Vista/Cruz? Any tips for those of us going tomorrow?

Not looking forward to the 1.5 hour journey to Excel as we are using public transport from North London. Also hoping they have lots of places to sit down in there!

vanilla8 · 04/03/2017 17:01

When I get in will post a few snaps of what I got and some of the offers

Autumnsweater · 04/03/2017 17:44

Rustler74 · 04/03/2017 17:48
