Hi......anyone out there just found out they're expecting? Thought it might be nice to start a little thread!
I've tested this morning and got a feint BFP, have recently had 2 m/c so may be being optimistic but I'm tired of worrying!! If it works out it works out!! Fingers crossed. If it's a sticky one I'm due bonfire night! 5/11/17.
Anyone else out there the same??Smile

I was the same. Always thought I'd plan it really well to tell my hubby. Instead I waved a stick soaked in wee (who said romance was dead) at him and just said "errrrrrrrrr....." 😬😬

UnicornDust17 · 01/03/2017 21:05

Haha Grin Grin those are great! I do actually have two sticks to wave at him....

AnyFarrahFowler · 01/03/2017 21:19

Enjoy telling, Unicorn!
I'm currently sat next to DM on the sofa, I'm not telling her til Morhers Day. Feels so strange to be chatting so freely to you all when she has no idea!

Is anyone else really getting The Rage already?! I'm nearly 4 weeks but that's too soon to be feeling so angry, surely?! One of my colleagues really wound me up today and I've been stewing on it all night, thinking about what I'm going to say to him in the morning. I had my angry moments last time, I hope this time around isn't going to be even worse.. Blush

inkybunny · 01/03/2017 21:33

Oh, the rage! Yes. My poor husband is just so patient that I can't be too annoyed at him but I'm struggling with some colleagues at the moment. Just use your initiative - make notes - decide yourself! Stop waiting for me to tell you what to do!

And breeeeeathe. Haha.

AnyFarrahFowler · 01/03/2017 22:02

I'm so glad it's not just me Inky! I'm going to have to try so hard to keep calm if this is just the beginning...!!

inkybunny · 01/03/2017 22:04

I'm hoping it will calm down a bit - I'm sure some of it is just feeling overwhelmed with everything in life right now! We're still wrapping our heads around this massive thing that's going to happen, no wonder we're feeling a bit on edge.

MrsC2017 · 01/03/2017 22:17

Hi everyone... Can I join, BFP at 10dpo and due 11/11 I think... Does that still count as early November? I also waved a wee stick at dp, even though I wanted to have an elaborate announcement also! Oh well!

UnicornDust17 · 01/03/2017 22:27

inkybunny it is a massive thing, but it's amazing. You're right about your booking appointment, nothing much happens except being referred to the maternity team. Good luck!

Welcome MrsC2017, congrats! I still have no one to wave my sticks at, hope he hurries back soon before I get to bed Grin

MrsC2017 · 01/03/2017 22:30

I hope he comes in unicorn nothing like a stick wave before bed Grin I think I'm on the spreadsheet now also which I guess makes it official!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 01/03/2017 22:42

Can I join?! It feels ridiculously premature, as I found out that I'm pregnant about eight hours ago and my period isn't even due until Friday, so it's very early days indeed... But I'm desperate to talk about it! If all works out I'll be due November 11th. Boobs are feeling odd, but otherwise I don't feel even a tiny bit different.

MrsC2017 · 01/03/2017 22:55

lisa I'm the exact same as u, AF due Friday, BFP about 8 hours ago and due same date! Congratulations!

vitalite · 01/03/2017 23:00

Congrats to all the new ladies Flowers

LisaSimpsonsbff · 01/03/2017 23:01

And congratulations to you, too! I'm still in a state of complete disbelief - this is my first pregnancy and after six months of trying getting a BFP was beginning to feel impossible... Was completely preparing myself for the disappointment of a BFN. Spent the rest of the afternoon a) buying new tests (went straight out and bought a digital and more FRERs so I can take one tomorrow morning with FMU!) b) taking said tests c) checking the tests every five minutes to see if they were still positive d) being annoyed at DH for not replying to my text asking when he'd be home! This has not been a productive day of working from home!

MrsC2017 · 01/03/2017 23:17

Aw I'm thrilled for you, wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months! I got a hint of a line on a cheap test this morning so couldn't resist doing a frer, will do another in the morn to be sure! I have a DS who is 7 and I'm also in a state of shock, the baby phase is so far behind me it seems mad to go back but here we are!

Oddsocksforeveryone · 01/03/2017 23:21

Congratulations to new joiners and hello ladies to everyone :)
Enjoy telling your DH @unicorn, I told mine over the phone while he was shopping and he dropped a tool on his foot.
I've got the rage, Dodgy stomach and back ache real bad.
Today has been a disaster, my two favourite bits were a nut popping off the buggy on way to drs (dd has conjunctivitis) and my salad bag freezing in the fridge, so no ceasar salad today :(
I have literally no patience with my husband and have been eating ceasar salad right out of a mixing bowl, with my hands, so I think maybe another girl.
On the plus side though I've ordered some lovely pink mam bottles for dd as ive seen lots of people saying their milk supply dropped during pregnancy so im giving her a little formula on a night just in case we end up having to switch suddenly. I breastfed the boys to 2 and nearly 2 shows anyone know how long you're supposed to formula feed for?
Hope everyone gets some sleep xx

MrsMonkeyBear · 02/03/2017 05:59

Oddsocks DD was formula fed until 11 months and then we gradually swapped out for cows milk. Ie 5oz formula topped up with 2oz cows then 2 days later 4oz formula and 3oz cows until there was no formula. It's was a bit earlier then the recommended 12 months but I'd gotten sick of making up bottles.

Welcome to the new ladies and congratulations on your bpfs. I knew I was pregnant at 7dpo even though I didn't test positive until 12dpo.

inkybunny · 02/03/2017 06:07

Welcome and congratulations to all the new mums! So excited for us all!

Oddsocksforeveryone · 02/03/2017 06:24

Thank you @MrsMonkeyBear

Porgey1 · 02/03/2017 06:54

Morning all! Hope everyone has a good day and the tiredness/sickness isn't too dehabilitating.

Oddsocks same message here... I breastfed until 12 months with DS1 but introduced formula bottles gradually from 7 months. Just like MrsMonkeyBear I started mixing formula and cows from about 12 months until there was just cows. My only experience of breast feeding whilst pregnant was a friend who said it was too painful to feed once she'd fallen pregnant with her second, so you might be able to carry on for a bit if that isn't the case for you?

AF officially due today (can't believe it's only a week since my BFP, feels like it's been ages), so I think I'll feel more settled once she doesn't arrive (fingers crossed!).

Moraelin · 02/03/2017 07:10

Well that was a long night. Anyone else getting insomnia? Been awake half the night so feeling very tired already. Back to work today, and I have to tell them I'm pregnant - haven't even told my family yet but I have to tell work because of the type of job I do.

Congrats to all the new ladies!

Oddsocksforeveryone · 02/03/2017 07:11

Thank you @porgey1 there's actually only 24 months between my first 2 so I fed ds1 through my pregnanxy with ds2 but by that time it was more snacking, im just worried if I dry up then at 7 months dd still needs proper feeds? Milk drying up is actually how I've been blessed with the new teeny beany. I got flu in Dec, got so ill my milk almost dried up, that kick started my cycle I think.
It's a week today from my first bfp too! Wow that's gone fast

Rufus200 · 02/03/2017 07:26

Hi to all the newbies

Got a CB 3+ wks this morning. DH was 👍, by my calculations it shouldn't be physically possible to have got from 2-3wks only starting last Thurs to 3+wks today, shouldn't of changed till Sat. So now I'm terrified there is multiples in there. Scan on Tuesday

I can't sleep anymore, major insomnia has kicked in and DS got up at 5.45am this morning!

I have found B6 to really help my nausea. Boots and Holland&Barretts sell it. You can take up to 200mg a day. I got 10mg tabs so I can take regularly during the day. Really reduces my nausea and sometimes completely takes it away. B6 gets excreted in your urine so doesn't last long. Only problem is then I eat things I shouldn't and when it wears off 2 hrs later I feel terrible. Just neeed to stop being a piggy.

Toomanydogs · 02/03/2017 07:54

@Moraelin insomnia is driving me crazy already, so tired but just can't sleep! Anybody else having really vivid and weird dreams?!

MrsB12345 · 02/03/2017 08:11

I had a dream last night that at my first scan there were 6 babies and when we got told my husband fainted 😂😂

MrsB12345 · 02/03/2017 08:12

No insomnia though. Just weird dreams
