Hi......anyone out there just found out they're expecting? Thought it might be nice to start a little thread!
I've tested this morning and got a feint BFP, have recently had 2 m/c so may be being optimistic but I'm tired of worrying!! If it works out it works out!! Fingers crossed. If it's a sticky one I'm due bonfire night! 5/11/17.
Anyone else out there the same??Smile

Urrrgghhh. I forgot how much pregnancy drains you. I'm struggling to sleep past 3am, I got insomnia with DD but I'm sure it was later than this. If it's not the lack of sleep it's the crazy dreams.

The crampy uterus is horrible although it's not as bad today.

My boobs won't fit into any of my bras already. I feel like Lola Ferrari at the moment.

My bowels are going from one extreme to another. Need to pee every 7 seconds too.

Can I fast forward the next 8 months please!!

Moraelin · 01/03/2017 06:39

I've tried to add myself to the list, not sure if it's worked tho...

I'm with you on the sleep MrsMonkeyBear- I'm sure the insomnia was further along last time! I'm so tired I've been going to bed at 8pm every night. Back at work tomorrow and in until 10pm so not sure how that's going to work!

I'm quite enjoying the large boobs, bit of a novelty for me. I dug out my old maternity bras so I feel a bit more comfortable.

5 weeks today, which is further on than last time. Hope everyone has a good day.

Loopydoo83 · 01/03/2017 10:26

Hi can i join please? Been to the drs today & got an edd of 02/11 Smile
I have 3dc & this will be my #5 pregnancy so had a miscarriage last sept so keeping my fingers crossed for a sticky one this time.
Like most of you, Im going through feelings of is this actually happening but by the evening I'm so bloated & burping like I've drunk so much fizzy I could take off Blush
I don't remember this with the last monkey so it feels like I'm starting all over again Confused
Plus my poor dp is getting me asking all the questions that I actually know the answers too already Wink but it helps to hear that you all seem to have the same feelings/symptoms as me....yah!

Sammie12 · 01/03/2017 10:34

Hey loopydoo83p congrats

Cramping is now replaced with wind and soooo tired don't want to get up lol
My bras are also very tight now annoying as I am a very awkward size so question what do people suggest? I work in retail so tempted. To go down the sports bra route as still early days but don't no?

Sam

Toomanydogs · 01/03/2017 10:46

Hi can I join as well please? Went to see Dr yesterday and EDD 06/11! Feeling cautiously optimistic but trying not to let myself get too excited yet. So far been struggling to sleep for the last 2 weeks and having really vivid dreams, also had stabbing pains yesterday and a bit today, and been feeling nauseous since the weekend especially after eating, also very sensitive boobs!

MedicineHat · 01/03/2017 11:17

Sammie12 in my last pregnancy I bought bra strap extenders that saw me through the first few months, but I'm sorry I don't know where to buy them in the UK.

UnicornDust17 · 01/03/2017 11:25

Hey Loopydoo83 and Toomanydogs, congrats! and welcome.

Fingers crossed for you Loopydoo83 - sending sticky thoughts your way.

Toomanydogs - is this your first dc?

inkybunny · 01/03/2017 11:56

Rufus, thanks! My EDD is 6th November.

I keep on going to the loo to check as well - cramps seem to have slowed down today which is good. Felt a little sicky first thing but nothing since. Just such sore boobs, ow ow ow!

MrsB12345 · 01/03/2017 12:11

I keep checking too. It's a ritual to inspect every wipe. My husband has suggested I don't get too emotionally attached but I love my tadpole already.

I def think I'm team 💙. Don't feel pink at all x

UnicornDust17 · 01/03/2017 12:15

I keep checking too, but that's because I bled from 6 weeks and continued through my last pg Sad I'm really hoping this one goes to plan. I've not idea what a normal pregnancy is like.

Keep thinking sticky thoughts everyone! Grin

Those with DCs already, did you do the NCT classes?

Moraelin · 01/03/2017 12:19

Sammie12 I think a sports bra would be fine, also in the maternity shops you can get back extenders.

inkybunny · 01/03/2017 12:21

I actually bought two maternity bras from Debenhams yesterday - I got them one back size up from my usual and they are so so comfortable. Highly recommended!

Toomanydogs · 01/03/2017 13:07

@UnicornDust17 thanks, yes it's my first, been trying for around 6 months.

I hate wearing bras unless I have to as they make my back sore, but think I'll have to invest in some more comfortable ones now!

inkybunny · 01/03/2017 13:26

MrsB, I think we're feeling team pink over here - I don't have too much of a strong feeling either way but my husband definitely thinks it's a girl. So I've got into the habit of say she and her.

FluttershyStare · 01/03/2017 14:24

Can I be added the to spreadsheet too please?
Edd 1st of November, my first one (eep!) and I'm 29
I've not had too many symptoms just yet, I've had super thirst and early waking up, but that's it so far.

I think because I've had to wait to make an appointment straight with the midwife, I feel a bit in limbo

I'm lucky in a way that coming off contraception helped me lose weight and change shape, so most of my clothes have a bit of growing room to them

Sammie12 · 01/03/2017 16:07

Me to fluttershystare scary

I also do the toilet ritual spec as it's very early days trying not to get too excited but kinda can't help it
Thaxted ladies in the bra info

Sam

inkybunny · 01/03/2017 17:12

I'm so tired! I just about managed to hold out until 4.30 at work and I'm now sitting in bed wondering how on earth I'll get through the evening.

JulyLady7 · 01/03/2017 18:06

Same here inky, could literally lie in bed until tomorrow morning. I've been yawning all day!

Countessofthebadthings · 01/03/2017 19:24

Evening all!
Hoping I can join in here as it looks like I have EDD of 4th November and this is baby #3. I happy and terrified in the same breath as DP and I gave ourselves 6 months to try and this is the first month! I was looking forward to a bit more practise Wink

UnicornDust17 · 01/03/2017 19:54

Congrats countessofthebadthings and welcome! Shame about the practice though Wink

Porgey1 · 01/03/2017 19:59

Evening all (or those that aren't asleep already!)... just reading through the posts and finding it amazing that 1) we all seem to have so many symptoms this early and 2) how rapidly we are moving through them!! My cramping has slowed right down today but has been replaced by lower back ache and a slight wind issue Blush.

UnicornDust17 we did NCT classes when pregnant with DS (so early 2014) and had a really positive experience - I would recommend them to everyone expecting their first but I know not everyone would. Our group of six still meet regularly (with and without kids), and we adopted two more from baby groups in the early days. The breast feeding session was a bit divisive but really informative and our tutor struck a really good balance of being informative, yet enabled us to share and discuss our own views, questions and hopes/fears!

AnyFarrahFowler · 01/03/2017 20:30

Porgey1 That's what I was hoping to get out of my NCT class - as the first of all our friends to have a baby, I was hoping to buddy up with some fellow pregnant ladies. However, we ended up being the youngest couple there by far - really surprising as we were 29 and 30 - and really found it difficult to bond with anyone. They all got on well but we felt pushed out. It was bloody expensive too! I refused to finish the course Blush and ended up making friends in baby groups after DS was born.
UnicornDust if you get a good group and a good course leader, I've been told they're good to do. If it's not for you, get yourself to Baby Massage and bond with other mums when your babies all fart in unison when you're massaging their tummies Grin

inkybunny · 01/03/2017 20:37

Porgey, I've moved on to digestive discomfort too - feeling nauseous but (tmi) it came out of the other end, delightful.

Can't believe we've only known for six days. In some ways it seems so soon but in others it feels like a lifetime! It's really starting to sink in now and I'm just desperate for everything to be okay.

UnicornDust17 · 01/03/2017 20:40

Thanks Porgey1 i'll have to have a dig around and see what the ones are like around here.

I feel like I should go as didn't get that far with DS1, but I definitely don't want an experience like that AnyFarrahFowler Confused

So, telling DH tonight when he gets home from work. POAS tonight just to be sure sure sure (I think that makes four in total Shock (so far Wink.
So I guess that means a call to the docs tomorrow too.

inkybunny · 01/03/2017 20:42

Good luck with telling, Unicorn!

I had loads of elaborate ways planned to tell my husband but in the end just woke him up by pointing the stick in his face, demanding to know if he saw a line!
