Hi......anyone out there just found out they're expecting? Thought it might be nice to start a little thread!
I've tested this morning and got a feint BFP, have recently had 2 m/c so may be being optimistic but I'm tired of worrying!! If it works out it works out!! Fingers crossed. If it's a sticky one I'm due bonfire night! 5/11/17.
Anyone else out there the same??Smile

Hello to all the newbies and congrats!
Yes to really weird dreams - so vivid and really bizarre!
In terms of breastfeeding, DS is now 13 months and I just breastfeed once a day, at bedtime, but last night and the night before it felt a bit painful. Not so bad that I couldn't do it but I hope it doesn't get any worse.
I weed on another stick this morning Blush just checking! Grin

inkybunny · 02/03/2017 12:11

Haha, I think I've taken seven tests so far!

Someone at work brought in samosas today. I'm one happy pregnant lady!

MrsC2017 · 02/03/2017 12:23

Yes such weird dreams I had a dream I w brewing my own alcohol.... Must be missing it allready! I have alot of lower back pain today and boobs getting more painful by the day!

MrsB12345 · 02/03/2017 14:04

So anyone else find it hard with colleagues not knowing. Today we went out for lunch and I had to check what I could and couldn't eat. I'm always known for my love of coffee and have to make excuses as to why I don't want our daily Costa (can't order decaf as we always seem to stand together when we order) roll on when I can tell everyone

Has anyone told any work colleagues or their boss?

Countessofthebadthings · 02/03/2017 14:38

MrsB12345 I've had to tell management at my work as its a fairly physical job (deliveries, lots of lifting, dealing with cages etc), I can probably keep it from colleagues for a few weeks but close ones will guess anyway.
No weird dreams or insomnia yet, I've actually been sleeping pretty well so far but that's more likely to do with our co-sleeping 3yo finally realising her bed is much nicer than ours now and she can stretch out.
Had the Docs this morning so they can refer me to my maternity unit of choice and get a prescription for Lactulose - I have IBS and can't take the original meds so trying this and then moving on to the stronger stuff as and when needed.
Hope everyone is having a good day Smile

MrsB12345 · 02/03/2017 15:29

It's so hard having to lie but try not to make a deal of it 🙈

I decided to take another preg test today. Just to make sure 😂 and I have added it to the collection. Anyone else getting sentimentally attached to their wee covered sticks?😬😬

FluttershyStare · 02/03/2017 15:29

im partial to a fruit tea anyway at work so I've not been rumbled just yet.

There's rumours of redundancy here and although I feel my departments pretty secure, there's that added worry now too.

congratulations to all newcomers!

GreedyDuck · 02/03/2017 16:45

Hi, I'm officially due 29th October, but feel more at home here for the moment. Not posting much as it's such early days. Already have a 2yo DD, I'm 43 in a couple of weeks time, and had my last mmc the week before Christmas, so am bricking it. 5+4 today, symptoms definitely stronger than last time, but not counting my chickens just yet. Will be getting an early scan at the EPU in a couple of weeks time.

MrsB I have an entire photo folder on my phone called 'POAS madness'! I have even created collages to show the line progression. Blush I have chucked the old sticks out now though as I don't want our cleaner to find them.

MrsB12345 · 02/03/2017 17:40

@greedyduck I've hidden mine in the boxes they came in so our cleaner doesn't see them. I just can't seem to throw them away yet - I do like to look at them to remind myself it's true

I've hid the fatigue stage full on. Am so tired and fuzzy headed all the time. Still drinking loads of water. I'm positive the team I work in know. I feel bad as I've only been there 4 months but these things happen hey. We fell pregnant the first month we tried - I honestly thought it would take 6 months at least as we are both in our mid and late 30s. Hoping my work will be ok when I tell them 😬🙈 x

LisaSimpsonsbff · 02/03/2017 17:52

Re. excuses - I think I'm going to claim that I've given up drinking for Lent...

inkybunny · 02/03/2017 18:22

Fluttershy, we're having that worry at my work too. But there's nothing I can do to change the outcome, so I'm just trying to remind myself that everything happens for a reason!

FluttershyStare · 02/03/2017 18:28

inky I've just said that exact same thing to my dh

I'm finding myself quite pragmatic about the whole thing, including having no major symptoms just yet

I fully expect it means I'll be a mess later on haha

Sammie12 · 02/03/2017 19:12

I am very jealous of ur few sytoms I feel soon tired and hardly any sleep and dreaming very odd things! I have had to tell my work gillies as I am the boss and due to stockroom and deliveries if I don't it will cause drama with the 'y is Sam not doing deliveries any more and you is she on my case about stock rooms lol!' But I have not told my boss or work as only been there since October so feel bad but it was not planned!

And OMG if I have to pee or Burp up sick one more time today think I may cry! Still have lowered pelvic cramps but they only really hurt when I sneeze or caugh now so whoop

Toomanydogs · 02/03/2017 19:46

I still feel like taking more tests to make sure I wasn't just imagining it, don't think it'll really sink in until I get scanned!

MrsC2017 · 02/03/2017 19:48

lisa also using the lent excuse, that will buy us some time!
sammie sorry u are feeling so ill, I hope it passes, I had no nausea today, but I could have ate my way through a tonne of food! I hope that's stops or ill be putting on alot of weight!
mrsb I honestly nearly fell asleep at my desk today, I technically haven't even missed my period yet so kind of shocked I'm exhausted already!

Porgey1 · 02/03/2017 19:49

Evening all! Welcome to the new joiners - congratulations!

It's nice to be able to talk openly on here as it's unlikely we will be sharing our news widely until after the 12 weeks scan. Will be telling parents the next time we see them and I'm going to tell my closest friend tomorrow but that'll be it. I can hopefully get away with it at work, unless I show early and have to start hiding behind scarves and floaty things (not my usual attire).

LisaSimpsonsbff Lent is a timely excuse... MrsB12345 maybe you could give up coffee for lent and start ordering hot chocolate instead?!

I'm not feeling too bad in terms of symptoms the last few days, sleeping very soundly but I'm normally 'early to bed early to rise' so nothing too unusual about being asleep at 9pm for me! Cramps have slowed right down, mildly tired (NOT looking forward to the sheer exhaustion stage) and boobs feeling marginally heavy but not painful yet. Trying not to feel concerned by lack of symptoms as I think this is quite similar to my first pregnancy.

MrsB12345 · 02/03/2017 21:54

I'm not really a fan of hot choc but I might need to start liking it 😉. Thanks for the advice @Porgey1

TheGrumpySquirrel · 02/03/2017 22:03

I just got a very faint, pink line on a FRER.. place marking for confirmation tomorrow! If it is a real & sticky bean, EDD would be 7 Nov!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 02/03/2017 22:04

Oh and OP.. the 5th is my first wedding anniversary

MedicineHat · 02/03/2017 23:07

Congratulations to all the new people! I know what you all mean about trying to hide it - a friend asked me straight out if I was pregnant the other day because I hadn't been drinking the previous night. I just said no, but I couldn't think of anything else to say. No idea if she bought it!

Porgey1 · 03/03/2017 07:04

Morning everyone! How is everyone feeling? I hope those with insomnia/vivid dreams had a better nights sleep xx

Congrats and welcome @TheGrumpySquirrel!

MrsB12345 · 03/03/2017 07:15

No dreams from me last night. Still got sore boobs though and they have def got bigger and am now starting to get back ache daily x

LisaSimpsonsbff · 03/03/2017 07:18

Hi all, sadly looks like I might be out - did a FRER and this morning's test with FMU is much, much fainter than two days ago with fairly dilute afternoon wee. I'm not bleeding yet but I guess this is a chemical.

sweetandsaltypopcorn · 03/03/2017 08:24

Hi all can I join please?

I only got a BFP this morning so still a bit Shock

sweetandsaltypopcorn · 03/03/2017 08:27
