Hi......anyone out there just found out they're expecting? Thought it might be nice to start a little thread!
I've tested this morning and got a feint BFP, have recently had 2 m/c so may be being optimistic but I'm tired of worrying!! If it works out it works out!! Fingers crossed. If it's a sticky one I'm due bonfire night! 5/11/17.
Anyone else out there the same??Smile

Aww darnit. I have had one period since having dd and I've just been through all my calendars and found it was on 2nd jan. I found out i was pregnant last week on Thurs? So going by lmp Id either be 8 weeks today or if I missed a period but still ovulated then I'd be 4 weeks today? I got 2-3 weeks on Clearblue last week. I cant even remember which day i tested now. I cant be 8 weeks, this is frustrating!

Brummiegirl15 · 27/02/2017 17:05

Hmm not sure Oddsocks, 2-3 on a cb would mean 4-4.5 weeks pregnant i think. Might be worth seeing your doc maybe?

Anyone been to the GP or registered with a midwife yet?

I told my parents today - I just blurted it out. Was going to wait, that went well! But I've been so unwell today. I've been sick and been over the toilet heaving and retching - I ache now from the retching!

inkybunny · 27/02/2017 17:33

We told our parents on Saturday night - I was so nervous telling mine! I don't know why, we've been married for 18 months now and I'm sure they were expecting it, but I felt so worried about telling them. They were of course thrilled, so all my worries were for nothing!

I booked my GP appointment today - it's next Thursday. From what I can tell, not that much happens at the first one.

Brummiegirl15, I used to be a Brummie girl too - live in Warwickshire now!

Brummiegirl15 · 27/02/2017 17:54

Inky technically I'm not Brummie anymore! I'm Worcestershire now!!

vitalite · 27/02/2017 18:04

Only 4+3 but already noticing my sense of smell is heightened 😳 out at supermarket today and all I could smell was a beefy meat smell and it was giving me the baulk 😝 also felt a bit queasy this morning before I had brekkie but it's ridiculously early for that and it's always been the 6/7 week mark when nausea had kicked in before.

inkybunny · 27/02/2017 18:06

vitalite, I'm 4 on the dot today and seem to have a really strong sense of smell too - I'm lighting nice candles all over the house at the moment!

Oddsocksforeveryone · 27/02/2017 18:11

Well I bought a pregnancy test today and the lady at the till I now know to be mum to a girl in my ds2's class, and my neighbour came into drs as I was making midwife apt. So much for secrets! The receptionist said that we no longer book midwife booking appointments, the midwife calls you herself and arranges one? So im booked for a phonecall next Monday.

I'm just going to order a million tests on ebay try and chill out and just go ahead as if I'm 4 weeks today x

inkybunny · 27/02/2017 18:37

Oddsocks, I keep taking tests as well - another one today! I'm onto my cheapy stock from Amazon now.

Brummiegirl15 · 27/02/2017 20:22

I've phoned my docs and made an appt as apparently our midwives don't self refer anymore.

Still got no real idea about my dates. I have really short cycles (24 days) and I ovulated on day 9.
From my lmp that makes me 3+4 but from my ovulation date it makes 4+3 and from an ovulation due date calculator it makes me due 3/11

When I had my 12 wk scan with my DD my dates were adjusted and my due date brought forward which would've made 40 weeks previously even before AF

But it all makes me sound bonkers when I say "from ovulation"

MrsB2017 · 27/02/2017 20:23

I've taken 3 tests now and think I will take one a week u too my midwife appointment. Just in case I imagined the whole thing.

I saw a doc on sat as I'm overweight and worried about that and how it could effect my pregnancy. She did a urine sample and detected white blood cells in it so thinks I have a urine infection. Dropped my pee pot off at the docs this morning to be sent for tests.

Quick Q....does everyone feel pregnant? I have a feeling which I can't describe above my bikini line. Doc said it's likely my ligaments stretching...! Have had it for over a week and just aware of it. Doc said it's nothing to worry about xx

Brummiegirl15 · 27/02/2017 20:44

MrsB I believe I'm pregnant but every day I worry that it will the end.

I'm kicking myself for telling my parents even though if I had bad news I'd rather just say what happened rather than say I've lost another baby because actually oh by the way I was pregnant if that makes sense?

But the sensible person in me is desperately reminding myself that I'm doing everything I need to do and telling my parents won't affect any outcome

Porgey1 · 27/02/2017 20:47

Evening all - lovely to be part of such an active thread! MrsB2017 speaking for myself, I don't really feel pregnant as such, but then I remember not feeling pregnant with DS either! I've known about this one about ten days earlier than the last, so it's been a bit more anxious waiting to see if it will stick - have resisted the urge to do a second test so far, will wait until after AF is officially late (Thurs).

Have got booking appt with the midwife in for 7+1 as away during week 8. Am exactly 4 weeks today too Inkybunnie!

Still not much in the way of symptoms, bit more hip ache last night, stretchy, slight crampy feelings in lower abdomen and feeling very tired... not looking forward to the early weeks exhaustion!

AnyFarrahFowler · 27/02/2017 20:56

Evening everybody! Hope everyone is feeling ok. Sorry to hear about the collective hip pain.
I'm not really feeling anything yet, but I'm a little behind most of you so still very very early days. The only thing I've noticed is I'm quite emotional - nearly cried a few times at work on Friday (hence wanting to test this weekend just gone) and I've just blubbed my way through One Born Every Minute! To be fair, that can make me cry at the best of times, but I was full on sobbing. It brought back how scary labour was with DS (20 hours, emergency episiotomy, vomiting, passing out) the poor woman I was watching was going through all the same and I don't know if I was sobbing for her or for myself!! Blush

MrsB2017 · 27/02/2017 21:28

@brummiegirl15 don't stress about telling your parents. We haven't told ours yet and waiting for two more weeks as that's what hubby wants. I'd love to tell people

What does a sticky baby mean? When should it have stuck by? I'm 4w5d x

JulyLady7 · 27/02/2017 21:39

Hi all,

Love a busy thread, see if I can keep up!

I'd say I feel somewhat pregnant. Got the frequent urination, sore breasts, lower back pain, fatigue, gagging when I brush my teeth, I'll only be settled when proper nausea sets in though. Currently 4 + 3.

vitalite · 27/02/2017 22:05

I always have this weird feeling in early pregnancy that I'm imagining the whole thing and that I'll go to my dating scan and they'll be like "sorry but ur not actually pregnant" 😳 so it's kinda reassuring when u have symptoms like nausea ( tho that novelty quickly wears off 😂)

Oddsocksforeveryone · 27/02/2017 22:05

@brummiegirl15 I just visited the baby name threads.

When looking for a name will you be going with a theme? Flowers/German/vintage etc
Our first 2 had 5 and 6 letters so we decided to give dd 7 letters so will be looking for an 8 letter name this time.
I don't think its ever too early to look at names. If you have already imagined them as a baby then they are your babies no matter what happens if you know what I mean.

@anyfarrahfowler (love your name) I took my first test because I burst into tears watching Moana! I'm a bit of a hard arse and don't really cry often so it made me hmm. Bless you sound like you had a hard time fingers crossed fir an easy one this time round

Rufus200 · 27/02/2017 22:06

Does anyone know how to do a spreadsheet? So that everyone can put their name, age, location and estimated due date on

MrsB2017 · 28/02/2017 08:53

I don't know @Rufus200. Hopefully someone does x

MrsMonkeyBear · 28/02/2017 09:30

If I could get my ipad off the small person I'll have a go at making one. I think the easiest way would be to do a Google doc and link it here and everyone could just fill in their own details.

AnyFarrahFowler · 28/02/2017 09:31

Thanks OddSocks - I know it's way too early to think about labour but I think, subconsciously, I'm so scared it's going to be like last time. Even considering asking for a c-section but I don't know if that would even be an option. Oh well, plenty of time to decide!
In terms of names, DS has a very traditional first name and 2 family middle names (honouring family members who have sadly passed, including my dad) so this time I think we'll still have to give 2 middle names so DC2 doesn't feel hard done by! Grin
Did you decide to do the names with increasing number of letters beforehand or was it something that just happened naturally?

Sorry Rufus, hopefully someone a bit more technologically savvy than me will come along with the answer!

AnyFarrahFowler · 28/02/2017 09:36

Vitalite I'm the same! I was so worried I'd made up my last pregnancy - seeing DS flash up on the monitor during my 12 weeks scan was a massive "WOW you really are in there!" moment. Such a lovely memory Smile

MrsMonkeyBear · 28/02/2017 09:41

docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HX4bG_UOOPbvLHcQYilEDQUlHeq2kiDOjVGu1PSu59A/edit?usp=drivesdk

I'm hoping this works as it's been a while since I did a Google doc. If you want to fill in your own details.

Oddsocksforeveryone · 28/02/2017 09:55

Well I just took apart my clear blue digital tests with a knife like a nutter.
When we had dd I realised the 5 and 6 letters, dds name is a combination of two family names so one of the ways we could make it used 7 letters. Now it just feels like a "thing" lol
Oh also I don't use the same letters as surnames or first names so for example if I'm Oddsocks For-Everyone hubby is Cake For-Everyone ds's are noodles and bacon, dd is Jelly then baby's name can't begin with O F E C N B
My mum, dad and 2 brothers names all start with the same initial but I had different one and it still annoys me for some reason that's why I want different I guess

inkybunny · 28/02/2017 10:02

Yes, it doesn't seem to me like there'll be a baby in there either! I have had dreams in the past where I've been imagining I'm pregnant so I'm really worried about that. Can't wait to get some reassurance.
