Hi......anyone out there just found out they're expecting? Thought it might be nice to start a little thread!
I've tested this morning and got a feint BFP, have recently had 2 m/c so may be being optimistic but I'm tired of worrying!! If it works out it works out!! Fingers crossed. If it's a sticky one I'm due bonfire night! 5/11/17.
Anyone else out there the same??Smile

I've been a bit worried abjyt that pingu, with ds (low birth weight) they said we should start asprin early after finding out about pregnancy. I know others were told similar. However gp called hospital and they said later on.

There's quite a gap in care in early pregnancy for those with identified issues e.g. Thyroid or needing asprin, unless you have diabetes.

JulyLady7 · 25/03/2017 07:27

Violet and Pingu, Yeah, I think research wise, it depends what the problem is as to whether aspirin has been shown to be effective.
I can't say for your cases, but for me, though no clotting problem has been found, my blood is incredibly slow and thick for blood tests even when not pregnant. So the thinking was that blood is even thicker during pregnancy, so low dose aspirin might help. So far so good, but the consultant recommended it to me and it's definitely best to follow the advice of whoever is looking after you.

Oddsocksforeveryone · 25/03/2017 07:41

I'm consultant led, and have been with all pregnancies. I have big babies though not small (8lb 9oz, 10lb 9oz, 9lb 14oz) and problematic pregnancies but for me it usually means a lot more time hanging around in hospital. It might just be my area or bad luck but I'd say at least 70% of the time the consultants have been "unavailable" so I've had to wait sometimes hours, but usually just go in and consultant isn't there and I see a random Dr or midwife. In last pregnancy it was happening so often one of hospital midwives went with me to front desk top ensure I saw consultant next time. Arrived at that appointment and she was on bloody holiday. But the positives have been that when you see them they are able to make decisions very quickly for you and I do enjoy the extra scans. I always make sure I have a clear schedule when I go for an appointment so that I don't panic if I'm waiting for hours. And with 2 in school and a baby it probably means I won't actually accept all appointments given because I just can't make the time. Nothing dangerous but for example my vbac clinic appointment next month is pretty pointless this early because if I have another huge baby I don't think it will fit (they don't engage or something for me and getdistressed as if they are stuck) and I won't know that until later on.
Hopefully they aren't like that in your area but that's been my experience. . 3 times

booox · 25/03/2017 07:46

July I couldn't get anyone to confirm it so I have to wait till 12 or more weeks.

Rufus200 · 26/03/2017 13:15

I've just realised there are 2 November threads! I think people are confused and think they can't join this one as it says early.
Has anyone spoken to them? as I think we should be merged into one.

Foggymist · 26/03/2017 13:23

I'm on the other group too, I posted here first but the name really does look like it was for early November EDDs only, so I think they felt we needed another group

booox · 26/03/2017 13:25

I think the op just wanted to find others in a similar boat.

I'm not sure if they're still here sadly?

I do suggest a coalition!

JulyLady7 · 26/03/2017 15:03

Yes, a coalition!

lelygirl · 26/03/2017 16:12

I've joined! 😊

DD 24th Nov

cnew · 26/03/2017 16:16

Would make sense to have a new November thread as 'early', 'mid/late' won't mean much to those in the middle and even then its just an estimated date. Bigger the better Grin. How is everyone today?

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 26/03/2017 16:35

Hi all, thanks @Rufus200 for letting us late Novemberists know we're welcome here

NiceCuppa, 29, TTC#1, EDD 24/11

I've got my booking appointment on 11th April so nothing too exciting to do right now but wait for that. Got my BFP on 15th March and the last week and a half has lasted forever - DH is the only person who knows so it's lovely to have a place to chat.

cnew · 26/03/2017 16:45

NiceCuppa - time is dragging for me too. Just want the next 5 weeks to fly in so I can see if everything is ok and hopefully tell people!!

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 26/03/2017 17:06

I need to tell DM and DSis before the first May bank holiday as DSis booked us all a spa weekend for Christmas and I won't be going in the sauna/jacuzzi. I'll only be 10 weeks then but I think it's fairly safe to let them know - however I almost cracked and said something today. It's so hard to keep it to myself but it's just way too early for me at only 5+2

When are you planning to let people know? After your 12 week scan?

Stuckinstressville · 26/03/2017 19:10

Waves and properly joins from he late group. Boooooom. Hello morning sickness. 5+2 though... anyone else this early?

Twice it hit so hard when changing my toddler ds's nappy this weekend. Like.. hard itwasaclosecallvutmanagedtothrowupinhisbinbotonhim Now gagging at any smell that is strong even nice ones. This does not bode well for the tube commute tomorrow!

This is so early for me as was 7 weeks last time before a mild buildup and then from 10weeks to 18weeks brutal ms!

When did yours start?

cnew · 26/03/2017 20:18

Hi stuckinstressful. havent actually been sick yet (which i hope continues) but the nausea lasts all day long. Started at about 6 weeks I'd say.

booox · 26/03/2017 20:30

The citrus craving thing has started for me. Been only a tiny bit queasy at times but that's improved recently. I still worry its all not as bad as last time! 7 weeks tomorrow and still not heard from mw who was supposed to contact me quite soon according to the gp. Might ring tomorrow.

DryHeave · 26/03/2017 21:31

Hello, another one also on the late November thread. 31, #1, 23rd November.

Had a weird symptom today that I'd read about: horrific metallic taste in my mouth. Bleurgh!

Rufus200 · 26/03/2017 21:42

Welcome to everyone from the late Nov

mumsey2be · 27/03/2017 00:10

hi Everyone!

I am six weeks and three days. First pregnancy at 38! We are very excited as we had IUI and didn't actually expect it to work first time so delighted! We went for a scan last week - because with private clinic and they said we were less far on than we thought, so though there was an embryo there wasn't a heartbeat yet so we are going back in a weeks time for another one. Symptoms my end are mega sore boobs, peeing all the time, intermittent dizziness, cramps, tiredness and occasional nausea. But generally i feel quite perky and well so fingers crossed thats an ok sign! Its weird to wish yourself nauseous! Big hugs and prayers for all of us.

Mummyosborne1983 · 27/03/2017 00:14

Hi everyone! I'm from late Nov too- I didn't realise there was two groups.
I'm 34 from Cheshire, married with two children. Ds who is 3 but will be 4 by Nov and Dd who is 22mths but will be 2 by Nov.
We are expecting our third baby and are super excited after a long time trying!!

inkybunny · 27/03/2017 10:00

I'm 8 weeks on the nose today, and the nausea is starting to dim a little bit which is nice. Still not feeling 100 per cent but hopefully I'll feel a bit more like myself soon. I just don't want to eat anything which is driving me mad!

Got my booking in appointment on Thursday.

MedicineHat · 27/03/2017 11:39

VIOLET I'm 8+1 and I'm sure the nausea isn't as bad as last time too. I'm sure last time it was constant. This time it seems to come and go a lot, which is nice in a way but then always worries me!

booox · 27/03/2017 11:53

Keep telling myself there's nothing else going on! As there isn't. But I do worry.

I rang the gp and the lively mw rang back and arranged booking for this Friday thankfully. Apparently it's going to be an hour as they have to input lots of things into a computer so I need lots of provisions for ds!

Rufus200 · 27/03/2017 12:24

I feel so ill today, I can't move. I literally can only lie on the sofa but have DS to look after. Just tried to put him down for his nap. He fell asleep on me, transferred to the cot and pinged back up. I sat retching in the rocking chair with him until I couldn't take it anymore and brought him down to DH and told him to deal with him. Not sure how I'm going to cope on days DH is at work. I literally have to do everything on those days as he leaves at 6.45am and doesn't get home till gone 9pm. DH thinks he is doing more than his fair share and is whinging but he is just going to have to suck it up and do everything and get a taste of my days home alone. I know I'm only going to feel worse now until week 16 when it will finally lift. Weeks 12-14 were hell with DS.

booox · 27/03/2017 12:51

So sorry to hear that rufus. That is tough. Fingers crossed it passes sooner than that.
