Hi......anyone out there just found out they're expecting? Thought it might be nice to start a little thread!
I've tested this morning and got a feint BFP, have recently had 2 m/c so may be being optimistic but I'm tired of worrying!! If it works out it works out!! Fingers crossed. If it's a sticky one I'm due bonfire night! 5/11/17.
Anyone else out there the same??Smile

That's why I'm wondering if they do it at the booking around 8 weeks ?

booox · 24/03/2017 11:01

Actually they probably wouldn't so as not to worry people?

cnew · 24/03/2017 11:17

Definitely didnt listen for heartbeat at my booking in appointment with dh, but did at all other mw appointments.

user1489343787 · 24/03/2017 11:33

Hiya ladies, would like to join your thread. I was on one with my first daughter in 2013 and found it very lovely following everyone's journeys! I'm 7 weeks 8 Monday and have a early pregnancy scan at 2.15 monday! X

Toomanydogs · 24/03/2017 11:38

Had external and internal scan and they couldn't see anything so I'm out. Thank you all for the support and hope you all have gorgeous bundles of joy before the end of the year xx

Oddsocksforeveryone · 24/03/2017 12:03

I hope things have gone well today @toomany and @pingu and that everyone is feeling well.
3 letters came in the post today, my hospital appointments for April. Scan(14 weeks), consultant appointment (because I recently had a very high liver test result) vbac clinic appointment (3 previous sections)
I'm going to struggle to juggle baby/kids and appointments, excited to have an official scan date now though :)

Oddsocksforeveryone · 24/03/2017 12:04

So sorry @toomany :( Flowers

DuRezidal · 24/03/2017 12:05

So sorry to hear that @Toomanydogs. What's the next step for you with regards to making sure all is ok after it?

Toomanydogs · 24/03/2017 12:08

They've taken bloods but to be honest I have absolutely no idea what I'm supposed to do/ not do next

JulyLady7 · 24/03/2017 12:27

I'm really sorry to hear that toomanydogs Flowers

PingusMistress · 24/03/2017 12:51

So sorry toomanydogs Flowers

PingusMistress · 24/03/2017 12:55

I thought dopplers only worked from about 14 weeks, but I could be wrong. I'll let you know if they try one at my booking appointment this afternoon!

Brummiegirl15 · 24/03/2017 13:02

Toomany I'm so sorry, thinking of you.
Sorry for not posting much, as I've only been back at work after mat leave #1 a few weeks and only doing 3 days a week, that and DD are keeping my hands full!!

I'm 8 weeks today and to be honest nearly on my knees with constant nausea and exhaustion. I'm regularly heaving and retching over the loo. I'm going away with work next week and will be packing pads and painkillers just in case.
Got my follow up scan to my early one next Friday followed by my panorama test on the Monday. We'll be finding out the sex which will be strange before the 12 week scan!!!

12 week scan booked for 28th April but I will actually be 13 weeks and booking in appointment on 12th April

Hugs to everyone, these early weeks are horrible

Phephenson · 24/03/2017 13:07

@violet they don't usually listen to heartbeat until first official scan at 11w+
I could see the heartbeat today at the scan 6+6

Oddsocksforeveryone · 24/03/2017 13:23

@toomanydogs years ago I had a scan at 10 weeks because of a bleed, where they discovered baby had died and they just sent me home saying things would probably start naturally in a few days and it did.
So sorry for you. Do you have support from friends and family?
Hugs xx

NoCatsHere · 24/03/2017 13:45

dogs I'm so sorry. This happened to me last month. I started bleeding heavily at 7 weeks, and they did a scan and couldn't see anything. The they took my blood, then i went back to the EPU a week later and they made me do a pregnancy test. It came back negative which although obviously was upsetting, was good because my body was dealing with it all, and i needed no further treatment.

It's early days obviously and you need to see how you feel, but I'm now pregnant again. I fell straight away, about 2 weeks after my bleeding stopped. I'm not saying thats ok for everyone, but i felt ready to try again and was very lucky.

pixietheginger · 24/03/2017 14:06

So sorry @Toomanydogs similar happened to me in December at 8 weeks, was bleeding a lot and scan couldn't see anything. They sent me home to wait for it. Thinking of you x

Phephenson · 24/03/2017 14:09

So sorry @toomany xx

booox · 24/03/2017 14:16

I'm so sorry toodogs. I hope you are ok and have some rl suppprt Flowers

PingusMistress · 24/03/2017 16:14

Just had my scan and all looks good, measuring 8+5 and heard the heartbeat Smile

My booking appointment went well too, I have a date for my 12 week scan, 20th April. They didn't use a doppler, it was just blood and wee samples, blood pressure, weight and a million questions. And I didn't faint at the needle! Got a bounty pack too.

Looks like I will be under consultant led care due to high blood pressure and small baby in last pregnancy. I'm not sure what that involves really, does anyone know?

booox · 24/03/2017 18:34

That's great pingu!

To be honest probably not much; you may get extra sizing scans or extra check ups and you may be put on aspirin. You may have less choice about where you birth, but if all goes well it may not be much different.

user1489343787 · 24/03/2017 19:01

Pingus you will have extra dating scans thibk last time I had about 5 but baby came before the 5th one was booking in! Always nice to have them extra scans and know everything is ok! Hugs and love to you too dogs xxx

Stuckinstressville · 24/03/2017 19:48

Coming over from the mid/end Nov group to make sure i dont miss out!

So 5 weeks today, DC2, had a 10 wk MMC in Dec. ...

Hello all...

booox · 24/03/2017 19:51

Ha! Shall we form a coalition?

PingusMistress · 24/03/2017 21:57

Welcome stuckinstressville!

Thanks all for the advice about consultant led. The midwife mentioned aspirin a lot and was very keen to get my scan and first consultant appointment as near to 12 weeks as possible for some reason.
