Hi......anyone out there just found out they're expecting? Thought it might be nice to start a little thread!
I've tested this morning and got a feint BFP, have recently had 2 m/c so may be being optimistic but I'm tired of worrying!! If it works out it works out!! Fingers crossed. If it's a sticky one I'm due bonfire night! 5/11/17.
Anyone else out there the same??Smile

Had my booking in appt today, I've been spotting on and off but neither GP or midwife were concerned just said if it gets heavier or I get any cramping to go to GP or A&E. Only spotting when I've overdone it and pushed myself so now having to take it really easy!

DuRezidal · 23/03/2017 08:29

Does anyone else get slightly discoloured CM (sorry if TMI). It sometimes looks almost orangey on wiping but not sure if that is because of old blood working it's way out but it's not really brown in colour.

FluttershyStare · 23/03/2017 08:40

My booking in went fairly smoothly, once we'd fixed my dob and address to actually be the correct ones.

She didn't seem bothered that I had a heart shaped uterus and just said I'd probably speak to a consultant about it later.

Just waiting now for my scan date to be sent to me by letter.

I'm hopefully seeing the end of full on nausea but it's traded now for so much saliva (and then because there's so much I feel sick and retch - can't win!)

I was also quite a bit heavier than I thought I'd be, so I'm classed as high bmi and get the glucose test later on too

I feel we're going to tell our mums on Mother's Day.. has anyone else told family yet?

Skisunsnow · 23/03/2017 10:35

Hi, can I join, been on the October board but had private scan this morning and they've put me at 7+5, EDD 04/11. Which is more like I thought as had one crazy long cycle coming off the pill in November!
Had a good scan, heard a lovely strong heartbeat so now can put my mind at rest a bit!

sweetandsaltypopcorn · 23/03/2017 12:41

I tried to post a message yesterday but listed too early and then just didn't have the chance to correct it!

Is anyone suffering with nausea / morning sickness? I have zero symptoms until Monday and then bam sickness.

It's been that bad today and I have felt so ill I've had to take the day off work which isn't ideal. I can't remember it being like this last time and I can't remember long it lasted.

CC81 · 23/03/2017 12:56

I'm now exactly 7 weeks and feel sick if I stand up too fast (especially after waking up), or do too much bending down - i.e. getting laundry out of the basket, or wiping the dog's paws after she's been outside!

So I've been trying to take everything slow and easy. It feels rather like travel sickness. No actual vomiting yet - hoping it continues that way (I'm very rarely sick from nausea anyway - literally only a handful of times in the last decade).

Lots of people seem to find that snacking helps (and ideally plenty of sleep/rest).

pixietheginger · 23/03/2017 12:58

Just got midwife and scan confirmation letters in the post! Midwife in 2 weeks and scan 4th April... seems ages away! No sickness so far, if it wasn't for bigger boobs I'd start to doubt this is real!

Oddsocksforeveryone · 23/03/2017 14:28

Hi ladies!

Sorry about the confusion with lmpeople, I'll explain.
I have 8 month old dd that I'm still breastfeeding.
December I got flu that almost dried up my milk.
Jan 2nd I bled for a week, I assumed the loss of milk (which came back) triggered first period since birth.
14th Jan for a few weeks I had vertigo, dizziness was getting really bad then just stopped, so I may have been ill or may be pregnancy related.
23rd Feb I got a positive test but it was faint at first so could have been diluted pee I suppose but I just don't think I can be as far on as 11 weeks. I don't know if I'm making sense lol.
I am throwing up, I hope everyone else is faring better xx

Toomanydogs · 23/03/2017 16:06

Feeling a bit worried today, slightly heavier bleeding (altohugh not much or constantly) more than just a little spotting. GP referred me to early pregnancy assessment unit and having a scan tomorrow morning so fingers crossed but not feeling hopeful Sad

AnyFarrahFowler · 23/03/2017 17:55

sweetandsaltypopcorn I've really suffered with sickness this week but I think I might have cracked it today. Basically I feel awful if I let myself get too hungry. I know that, when you feel sick, the last thing you want to do is eat, but if you can manage half a slice of toast, or a plain biscuit, I find that really helps. So try to nibble/snack to keep hunger at bay. I think that's why I feel so sick in the morning, cos I haven't eaten for hours.

Things that worked when I was pregnant with DS (though the sickness seems worse this time round): weak squash, watermelon, brown toast, orange juice/pineapple juice.

Hope you feel better soon. It's awful isn't it?! But then you don't want to complain because you're so happy to be pregnant - it's a rollercoaster!

AnyFarrahFowler · 23/03/2017 17:56

Fingers crossed for you toomanydogs

NoCatsHere · 23/03/2017 17:59

Socks, ok that makes more sense about the dates, sorry you're throwing up too though.

Dogs, oh no I hope someone's there to look after you, fingers crossed all is ok at the scan tomorrow. Glad you can been seen soonish.

pixietheginger · 23/03/2017 19:34

Fingers crossed @Toomanydogs, hope all goes well tomorrow!

DuRezidal · 23/03/2017 19:56

Hope all goes well tomorrow @Toomanydogs , it is so worrying when you have bleeding isn't it? I had some at 4 week with this pregnancy and 5 weeks with my previous pregnancy.

I had an early scan at 5 weeks which showed a sac and a yolk only so have a second scan next Wednesday when I will be 7 weeks if all is still ok.

PingusMistress · 23/03/2017 20:40

Hope all goes well tomorrow toomanydogs, and that you manage to get a bit of sleep tonight too.

I have a scan tomorrow as well, a private one. Nervous as hell as I don't want a repeat of my previous MMC. I'll be 8+5 officially but I think I'm more like 8+1. I have my booking appointment just before too - I would have preferred the scan first in case it turns out to be a waste of time but hey ho.

JulyLady7 · 23/03/2017 22:24

Hope scan goes ok toomanydogs fx'd for you.

DuRezidal · 24/03/2017 07:17

I've had some slightly brown cm this morning, only on wiping not on underwear etc. I don't know whether this is worth me phoning the EPU again as they said to phone if anything changed.

booox · 24/03/2017 08:37

Fingers crossed toomany and pingu, I hope all is well.

Perhaps you should durez, it would reassure you I think.

I've woken feeling very well today. I've hardly had much sickness anyway but breasts feel completely normal today.

I do not like the worry of early pregnancy!

Foggymist · 24/03/2017 09:40

DuRezidal I personally wouldn't phone EPU for just brown cm, that's old blood and very minor.

Sammie12 · 24/03/2017 09:40

Hey ladies,
Violet sunflower I am 7 +2 and I am the same don't feel prefers at all today but I have a cold/flu bug so guessing that that's just taken over! I have also been able to drink green tea this morning for the first time in a week or so! A little worried but midwife said last week that symptoms come and go and as long as there is no bleeding try not to worry!
I am slightly annoyed though I got my first scan appointment through yesterday for the 2 of may which is 6 weeks time and I'll be 13 weeks then! Seems unfair as it's my first ever pregnancy!

Foggymist · 24/03/2017 09:47

@Sammie12 first scans are usually around 12-15 unless there's an issue/need for an early scan or unless you book a private one, that's totally normal.

booox · 24/03/2017 09:48

Sammie I was seen 13 weeks with my first but adjusted to 14 weeks at scan. Advantage is that you may be able to get a clearer picture of the sex at that stage - it was extremely obvious we had a ds, I looked at nub theory I was so convinced and so he was! (If you want to know!)

Sammie12 · 24/03/2017 10:02

OK thx ladies that has reassured me a little xx

booox · 24/03/2017 10:18

Can anyone remember / know if they listen to heart beat at booking / an appt before first usual hospital scan?

I'm sure I remember this happening but now I'm doubting myself!

DuRezidal · 24/03/2017 10:37

Yes it's normal at the moment so sitting right and waiting for Wednesday.

Does anyone know when you can hear a heartbeat on a Doppler? I'm sure it was 8 or 9 weeks with my daughter.
