Hi......anyone out there just found out they're expecting? Thought it might be nice to start a little thread!
I've tested this morning and got a feint BFP, have recently had 2 m/c so may be being optimistic but I'm tired of worrying!! If it works out it works out!! Fingers crossed. If it's a sticky one I'm due bonfire night! 5/11/17.
Anyone else out there the same??Smile

choc don't feel guilty - it's a mixed bag of emotions seeing a pregnancy test go positive. I felt like that last pregnancy, i thought I wanted it so badly, then I got pregnant then i struggled to tell my OH and then googled abortion. I felt so guilty, but it took a couple of weeks to get my head around it all, then i ended up losing it at 7 weeks and i was distraught. Now I'm pregnant again I know how sad i was to lose it and feel differently this time. I'm not getting my hopes up in case something happens again, but I am feeling happier about it all. Take some time to digest things.

betty best of luck today.

sweetandsaltypopcorn · 20/03/2017 10:45

Just been to my GP appointment (which they insisted I had before they would refer me to the midwives as I was new to the practise).

I have my booking in appointment next Thursday. Starting to feel a bit more real.

booox · 20/03/2017 13:48

Thinking of you Betty.
Hugs to lolly too.

I think this phase is so hard.

I'm aching from nose to toe - I do remember this with DS, doesn't make it any easier.

I'm 6 weeks today. Still waiting for MW to contact though I know booking is usually 8 weeks. I still don't feel I can feel too exited till I hear a heart beat.

Finding work very tough at the moment. I just want to be all hygge on my own!

booox · 20/03/2017 13:49

I can understand how you are feeling choc. Don't forget hormones don't help.

Congratulations durez! Id love that kind of office work!

cnew · 20/03/2017 14:20

I've taken a last minute days leave today. Fell asleep at 8pm last night but I still feel terrible. So so tired. Having an entire day to myself on the sofa, which Im feeling a bit guilty about now. Hopefully it'll sort me out.

booox · 20/03/2017 14:22

I'm very jealous cnew! But enjoy!

ds is watching extra tv while I huddle hot water bottles and complete bits of work

cnew · 20/03/2017 14:38

There are lots and lots of things I could be doing today....but I suppose they can wait. Need to move soon and tidy a bit before ds and dh get home.

DuRezidal · 20/03/2017 17:18

As a few of you know, I was a little worried that the CB Digi had remained on 2-3 weeks. I vowed not to test again, however it's my birthday and I could resist.

Absolutely over the moon with the result and can now relax until the next early scan a week on Wednesday.

booox · 20/03/2017 17:19

Aw that's great! Happy birthday!

DuRezidal · 20/03/2017 17:28

Thank you @VIOLETsunflower ... i never have been someone who could resist a test!

PingusMistress · 20/03/2017 17:53

What a lovely birthday present!

I just got a massive envelope through the post with my booking appointment letter and about 20 different leaflets and printed sheets about screening tests, diet, vaccines etc. It's about 1cm thick! A bit of light bedtime reading! Suddenly it all feels a bit more official Smile

NoCatsHere · 20/03/2017 19:39

DureZial So happy the numbers went up. oooh I'm tempted to test again. How long between testing did your numbers go up. I cannot resist a test!!

HoneyWheeler · 21/03/2017 06:19

@PingusMistress I've got my first appointment today, part one of 2 booking in appointments and I should be getting all my information as well - heard the paper we get is equivalent to half the Amazon!

Woke up at about 4:30 because I was so excited. I feel like I must have 'PREGNANT' tattooed on my face - how can people not tell!!

DuRezidal · 21/03/2017 06:48

@NoCatsHere I was 2-3 for about 10 days

MistyBxx · 21/03/2017 07:28

I had a clearblue panic too nocats and durezial it scared the life out of me 😭 2-3w on 4th march and 2-3w on 13th march, 9 days later 😳 I have been too scared to test again so waiting to pay for my private scan next week. I still "feel" pg and boobs still very painful but not a flicker of morning sickness and I'm 6+5 today. I'm grateful not to be ill but worried as sickness is such a strong symptom. Anyone else have dodgy digital results? Midwife told me on the phone they're not accurate indicators of measuring hcg and not to worry but it's impossible isn't it xx

booox · 21/03/2017 08:20

I'm 6+1 and very limited sickness. I had a spell at the end of week 5 but that's it and only mild queasiness. I remember the sickness being later on for me last time but never actually sick. Just 'off' food. I went right off chocolate! I couldn't eat chicken at all either, craved custard and citrus fruit!

I still worry though, but there's enough threads about entire pregnancy with no real symptoms.

I wouldn't trust those tests. I haven't done a digital, only ICs. I'm occasionally testing as I don't always feel pregnant and the lines are darker - but I did freak myself when they weren't. So it's probably best not to!

I do just want to get to booking and see if they can find a heart beat though.

FluttershyStare · 21/03/2017 08:26

honey I have my booking in today too, it's definitely feeling a lot more real

A colleague who got married the same time as we did was asking me yesterday if we were thinking of babies yet....

I was entirely not smooth at all but I don't think she guessed

Still feeling nauseous all the time and while I'm thankful I'm not actually being sick, it's getting wearing now.

Hope everyone else is getting on okay!

Foggymist · 21/03/2017 09:33

@MistyBxx sickness is just a common symptom, its not a guaranteed symptom. I really wasn't sick much, I only threw up actually when I bent down top quickly at 22 weeks Sad.

I went off my precious tea last time, I didn't know what to do with myself!! So far I'm drinking loads of it to prepare myself for the drought if it happens again Smile

NoCatsHere · 21/03/2017 09:51

thanks durezial maybe ill test again at the weekend and see...

misty i never felt sick or even nauseous with both my last two pregnancies, it doesn't happen to everyone. The only symptom i seem to get is really bad headaches like sinuses ones. So when i bend forward i think i'm going to pass out!

PingusMistress · 21/03/2017 09:59

Have fun at your booking appointments today honey and fluttershy, let us know how it goes!

I feel really sick today. Just about to go into an all day meeting with a load of people I don't really know. Hoping I don't have to dash out and make a numpty of myself.

HoneyWheeler · 21/03/2017 10:03

Oh god, one of the mums of a child in my class works on the front desk of the children's centre where I had my appointment! I guess the cats out of the bag now....😱

EdgarAllenPoe · 21/03/2017 10:12

I am hoping to hear from the midwife some time this week to arrange my booking in app.

It was a bit of a palaver last time. I went to the GP as it was my first, who said he would refer to me and they would contact me. He wouldn't give me any contact numbers, he insisted they'd call me. Got to 10 weeks and no contact, the GP said to wait until 12 weeks. I thought, that's no good since it's the midwife who arranges the scan here too. In the end I rang the hospital maternity ward as it was the only number I could find, and they had no record of me. The GP had never referred me! Since I was 11 weeks by then, they sorted me a booking in app the very next day.

Anyway, needless to say I have zero faith in the GP so tried to go directly to the midwife (well the surestart centre where the clinics are held). The lady in reception told me I'm supposed to go to my GP who will refer me. So I told her my sorry story and she said she'll have a word. I'm only 5w+4 so I'm not in any hurry, but I'd love to have a date to look forward to.

Here's hoping it's smoother than last time! I've no idea why my local authority makes accessing midwife services such a ball-ache.

EdgarAllenPoe · 21/03/2017 10:14

HoneyWheeler I'm sure they have to be discreet. If she blabs about it to other mums she ought to get into trouble for it.

AnyFarrahFowler · 21/03/2017 10:34

Good luck to those with appointments today, hope it goes well!

I'm 6+3 and feeling SO SO sick now. Yesterday was bad and today is worse. What makes it harder is having to look after 14month old DS who, to be fair, is a little dreamboat. But I can't help but feel guilty as I lie on the sofa and he's just playing quietly with his little toys. I'm going to try and get out for a walk in the fresh air with him this afternoon.
Envy Envy Envy (NOT envy, obviously)

Toomanydogs · 21/03/2017 10:34

I've got my midwife appt tomorrow, still feels bizarre that this is all actually happening (even though it was planned, having lots of symptoms and have told close family), don't think it'll really sink in until I've had a scan (or baby lol).
