Hi......anyone out there just found out they're expecting? Thought it might be nice to start a little thread!
I've tested this morning and got a feint BFP, have recently had 2 m/c so may be being optimistic but I'm tired of worrying!! If it works out it works out!! Fingers crossed. If it's a sticky one I'm due bonfire night! 5/11/17.
Anyone else out there the same??Smile

Hi Seahorse yes i am paying for panorama, have booked it through MUMS in Solihull

EdgarAllenPoe · 16/03/2017 18:57

I'm 5 weeks with my 2nd baby. Baby number one is 14 months old and was an emcs after a very long induction, so already a bit obsessing about how to give birth. They say 2nd babies tend to be bigger. Hope not, 10lbs was plenty big enough last time!

HoneyWheeler · 16/03/2017 19:00

Oh my fatigue hit well and truly today, dropping off today, big time!

Toomanydogs · 16/03/2017 19:40

I'm ridiculously tired, got a really active job but having to take breaks every 20 minutes to sit down because I'm dizzy and exhausted, getting plenty of sleep despite vivid dreams as well!

AnyFarrahFowler · 16/03/2017 19:41

Hi Edgar we're twinnies! I have an (almost) 14 month old and I'm 5 weeks pregnant with DC2 (6 weeks on Saturday). Hope you're feeling well. For me, today was the day the nausea well and truly hit unfortunately. I'm sure one or two colleagues have clocked what's up with me!

SeahorseBlue · 16/03/2017 22:53

Thanks Brummiegirl, I'll look into that.

Sounds like everyone is feeling tired at the moment, the main symptom I'm having is being really hungry and if I don't eat I start to feel sick so I'm constantly grazing at the moment.

PingusMistress · 17/03/2017 06:51

I'm quite concerned today as all my symptoms disappeared last night. No nausea, sore boobs, crazy dreams. I'm actually hungry this morning which never happens. It just feels like something is wrong. I have a private scan booked for next Friday when I'll be 8+5, guess I'll just have to wait and worry!

booox · 17/03/2017 06:54

Hello to the new BPFs!

Well I'm not sure why I felt so convinced nothing was right; a test has been nice and dark and I felt queasy all day yesterday.

I think it must be some mild anxiety bubbling.

It didn't really help that as I drive to work R4 talked about a programme on the mind unconsciously picking up on issues before they present Confused. (Which will be interesting actually!)

I've been anxious over the raising of my thyroxine as there's again confusion and muddle over it despite it clearly in the nice guidelines. Gp thought I'd get seen at the hospital early ( didn't last time) However the gp rang yesterday to say that she'd rung to check and it won't be till 6 weeks so to agreed to raise. And as I don't think it's quite enough and have said so that I can rest in a couple of weeks to check. On the plus side my levels were very good before pregnancy.

Hope people aren't too queasy today! Anyone else struggling with insomnia? It's not my mind it's my body, too hot and puffy and achey!

MrsB12345 · 17/03/2017 06:55

@PingusMistress my boobs stopped hurting this morning and I've had some light pink cm this morning. Still have queasy feeling and back ache and cramps though. Trying not to panic and keep track of it x

PingusMistress · 17/03/2017 07:31

Sorry to hear that you are having symptoms stress too MrsB. I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us.

MrsB12345 · 17/03/2017 08:07

Thanks @PingusMistress - it's not the first time I've had light pink cm so not going to rush to the docs. Boobs starting to hurt again so maybe it was a blip x

booox · 17/03/2017 08:23

Cross post pingu I'm sorry you and MrsB are having symptom stress.

I think we are more in tune with our bodies than we are aware of, so if symptoms vary or we feel better than we had we perhaps instinctively conclude it's stopped - I think that's what I had two days ago. My breasts and tummy suddenly felt ok and it was an overwhelming feeling that things weren't right. But don't forget the body does change and adapt and then get used to symptoms, increased blood volume, changing hormones etc. This is what I'm telling myself and not very good at listening to!

Huge fingers crossed that it's all ok.

chocoraisin · 17/03/2017 10:51

Hi all! I hope symptoms settle for those having worries.

I've lost the utterly vommy awfulness and now simply want to EAT. ALL. THE. THINGS.

After inhaling 6 biscuits and a chocolate bar before 10am Shock I've just spent 20 minutes drawing up an 'acceptable snacks list' that I plan to consult and stock up on rather than just wolfing down whatever is in sight. I gained a shocking 5 st the first time and only 3st the second time, so I'm aware I have a tendency towards 'eating for two five' and need to reign it in.

For anyone also ravenously hungry right now, can you give me some good ideas for handbag snacks that are a) not sugary and b) not rank?

TIA!

DuRezidal · 17/03/2017 10:57

Has anyone else had electric shock type pains? Literally there for a brief second and then gone ...

KwaziiPirateCat · 17/03/2017 11:28

Hello Smile I got a faint bfp this morning after feeling exhausted and sick as a dog the last couple of days. Haven't got my head round it yet and definitely won't sink in for a while, but I wanted somewhere to talk about it to make it seem more real! Most likely a mid / late November due date.

HoneyWheeler · 17/03/2017 12:58

@DuRezidal I've had them a couple of times, felt like a real zap but over in a moment...I'm not googling it, just going to plough on in ignorance...Confused

HoneyWheeler · 17/03/2017 12:59

Congratulations @KwaziiPirateCat - this is my first bfp and first pregnancy so I'm not sure it has actually sunk in yet! Fingers crossed xxx

theotherendofthesockportal · 17/03/2017 13:23

@chocoraisin so glad it's not just me who wants to eat the world and it's wife! I'm literally starving to death.

I'm 4 weeks 3 days, how about you?

Foggymist · 17/03/2017 13:30

I'm starving too, I'm always hungry anyway but between my natural greed, feeding my almost 2 year old and now this news I'm constantly eating!

chocoraisin · 17/03/2017 14:09

@theotherendofthesockportal I'm 6 weeks today. Was grimly vomity for weeks 4/5 and now apparently must eat everything in my kitchen. Twice.

Just sat down to crackers and peanut butter and an apple. But I really want the huge bar of cadbury's hidden in the fridge!!

MrsC2017 · 17/03/2017 15:27

Thank God I'm not the only one, I want all of the food, I'm bottomless pit!! As for healthy snacks....im trying to have peanut butter on rice or corn cakes, I know it's got fat but it does help me avoid the sugar.... The lesser of two evils perhaps...?

CC81 · 17/03/2017 16:11

@chocoraisin - I'm the same, pretty much... 6+1 today and last night we had lots of home-cooked food for tea (reasonably healthy)... but then followed by multiple biscuits and a creme egg. That's really not like me!

Chinese takeaway planned for this eve and I suspect I'll order more than usual ;)

I felt a bit sick on-and-off for the last two weeks - but less so this week. Generally very tired, though. REALLY hoping major sickness doesn't kick in and it just stays at a low level. I'm a wimp about throwing up. Fortunately I work from home so don't have to deal with brutal commutes or staring eyes... that must be so tough.

pixietheginger · 17/03/2017 16:37

Congrats @KwaziiPirateCat ! No symptoms here other than sore boobs and being very tired. I usually go to to bed after midnight but now by 9pm I'm no longer a human being. Have a 3.5h daily commute, so not sure how I'm going to manage later on...

FluttershyStare · 17/03/2017 17:19

I've been super nauseous this week and really haven't been feeling any sort of food which probably wasn't helping.

Today though, we had a KFC as a treat for the dsc and I practically inhaled it

I'm still waiting now to see how clever an idea that was Grin

AnyFarrahFowler · 17/03/2017 17:42

Hello to the new BFPs!

Oh God yes, so much hunger! After feeling so sick yesterday, today I have been ravenous! With my first pregnancy (DS) I wanted sweet things - chocolate, sweets, even sweet fruit like berries, and I remember inhaling watermelon like nobody's business. This time I want salty, cheesy things. It's early days so it could change. But I'm afraid I'm no help with healthy snack suggestions - I've had 2 cheese sandwiches since getting in from work an hour ago Blush
