Hi......anyone out there just found out they're expecting? Thought it might be nice to start a little thread!
I've tested this morning and got a feint BFP, have recently had 2 m/c so may be being optimistic but I'm tired of worrying!! If it works out it works out!! Fingers crossed. If it's a sticky one I'm due bonfire night! 5/11/17.
Anyone else out there the same??Smile

@Phephenson why are you high risk for ectopic?

MrsB12345 · 08/03/2017 21:58

Happy internal women's day ladies ❤

MistyBxx · 08/03/2017 22:27

Evening girlies. So sorry to hear of the ectopic 😔
I'm 4+6 today. Can't stop worrying! When I was on the ttc boards, all I could think about was the bfp! Now I've had it, I'm desperate for it to stick! I can't wait for my midwife apt which I can't even book for another fortnight!
I've decided I'm going to book a private early scan at 8 weeks. I can't help it, I need to see something ❤️
Also, does anyone have sensitive sore gums and teeth??

Phephenson · 08/03/2017 22:48

@DuRezidal I've got a blocked Fallopian tube - makes no sense to me but that increases your risk of ectopic. They wanted me to have it removed before fertility treatment but the waiting list to see consultant, then surgical waiting list, then recovery.... probably the best part of a year.
I decided it was a calculated risk and my Ivf consultant said she couldn't make me have the surgery - god I hope I don't live to regret that. Scan at 10am, repeat bloods at 3pm for hcg

harrypotternerd · 09/03/2017 00:30

hi guys, I am tentatively hopping on this board. AF is 5 days late, my boobs feel like they are going to explode and have also grown quite noticeably, been feeling a bit sick and dizzy the last few days and have had a few cramps. All tests keep coming up negative but my friend who is a midwife said sometimes it can take upto 2 weeks after AF is due to get a positive hpt so I am going to the doctors later for a blood test. I also just 'feel' pregnant if that makes sense. I am 27 from Australia

Phephenson · 09/03/2017 05:25

Welcome @harrypotternerd and fingers crossed for your blood test Smile

harrypotternerd · 09/03/2017 05:50

thanks, I had spotting for a few hours today (stressed call to bestie!!!!) only brownish blood and only when i wiped...heading to the doctors in an hour so will talk to him about it

sweetandsaltypopcorn · 09/03/2017 10:00

Has everyone already made an appointment for drs / midwife? I haven't yet but don't think they'll see me this early will they?

I have booked an early pregnancy scan though privately as I am more paranoid this time round.

MistyBxx · 09/03/2017 10:03

My midwife won't make an apt for me until I'm 6 weeks and even then, won't physically see me til I'm 8 weeks 😳
I'm also going to book an early scan!

sweetandsaltypopcorn · 09/03/2017 10:11

That's what I thought mistyb. I'll call them next week maybe.

It feels a bit like being in limbo at the moment. I know I'm pregnant but having zero symptoms except needing a wee every 5 mins I'm having to remind myself I am!

I've booked a scan for around 7 weeks just to check all is ok

Lolly34h · 09/03/2017 10:44

Need to ask a question.... has anyone else got no sex drive at the moment or am I the only one? Reason I ask is my dp has said that I haven't been as attentive for the last 2 weeks or so and I'm normally very much attentive? I think he's feeling a little not needed at the moment. I do dtd with him at least 4 times a week so that's something but apparently it's not enough lol x

CC81 · 09/03/2017 11:11

As a first-timer, I'm not sure what appointments I should be making and when!Should everything fall into place once I have a GP appointment and explain the situation?

I'm now 3 weeks since conception (so technically 5 weeks pregnant). The first GP apt I could get is still nearly two weeks away, so I'll be 7 weeks by then. Is this okay? Will they tell me what to do about scans, midwives etc?!

Toomanydogs · 09/03/2017 11:26

CC81 first time for me too- I went to doctor as soon as I found out (4 weeks) and GP referred to midwife and said she'd be in contact in about a month so around 8 weeks. I don't know if I should be doing anything else!

CC81 · 09/03/2017 11:32

Sounds like we're in a similar boat, @Toomanydogs !

Ideally I'd go earlier but getting appointments is tough. In the meantime I guess I just take my vitamins and hope for the best...

PingusMistress · 09/03/2017 11:49

Cc in some areas you don't need to see the GP at all. Here, if you contact the GP reception they give you the midwife number and you call them directly. Might be worth checking as if you get booked in late it can delay your scan if they are busy.

JulyLady7 · 09/03/2017 11:50

I'm not going to make any appointments until I'm 9 weeks as in my area, they don't see you until you're 10 weeks +. When I've made appointments before, they always seem so far away!

I'm having weekly/fortnightly scans, so I guess that's helping me feel a bit more relaxed this time round!

Sammie12 · 09/03/2017 12:10

Hey ladies I have a question,

Up until yesterday I was having really strong symptoms but they have now faded loads since I have managed to get some sleep. My breasts are no longer sore and the cramping has settled as nausea has also subsided I am 5+ 1 since missed af should I be worried?

MrsC2017 · 09/03/2017 12:15

Lolly I'm the same I couldn't imagine anything worse at the moment so you are not alone!! I'm. Only 4+5 today time is dragging!

Lolly34h · 09/03/2017 12:41

Glad it's not just me lol x

CC81 · 09/03/2017 13:32

Thanks @PingusMistress and @JulyLady7 - I may ring them early next week to see what they say about the midwife (and double check my GP apt the following week).

sweetandsaltypopcorn · 09/03/2017 13:47

Is there a secret Facebook group for Nov due dates?

CC81 · 09/03/2017 14:27

I like that idea, @sweetandsaltypopcorn .

If not, shall we start one? Are we able to post links on this forum? As obviously we'll need the link to join if it's secret.

sweetandsaltypopcorn · 09/03/2017 14:38

cc I have no idea how to do it Blush

CC81 · 09/03/2017 14:51

No probs, I'll have a go now... (just a test for you and me, then we can invite others).

CC81 · 09/03/2017 14:53

@sweetandsaltypopcorn I'll need your email address to invite you, if you don't mind supplying it here.
