Hi......anyone out there just found out they're expecting? Thought it might be nice to start a little thread!
I've tested this morning and got a feint BFP, have recently had 2 m/c so may be being optimistic but I'm tired of worrying!! If it works out it works out!! Fingers crossed. If it's a sticky one I'm due bonfire night! 5/11/17.
Anyone else out there the same??

I got quite bad morning sickness last time with ds1 fingers crossed I don't get it this time as it's truly not nice!

Aside from being tired (but then I'm always tired) and having dull aches in my stomach) I have zero other symptoms. I am
Refraining from testing every morning to check.

Waiting for a callback about my first scan (early scan because it's Ivf) - she said they are really busy and would probably be another 3 weeks so I'll be 7+4 by then.

@sweet I was dreadful, on cyclizine from 8 weeks -18 and lost quite a lot of weight. Bluergh

I don't know what a lot of the terminology used on here is... the '4+6' etc.

Feeling a bit clueless! I'll be technically nearly 7 weeks (5 since conception) by the time I have my first doc apt, so not sure if there's anything I should know/do in the meantime.

Any guides/apps anyone can recommend? :)

It's a whole new language . You will become fluent!!

The 4+6 or whatever is the number of weeks and days since your last period and it's how they will date your pregnancy through till your 12 week scan when they will give you a EDD (expected due date) that is based on the measurements of the baby. So I thought I was 12+2 at my scan last time but they dated me at 12+5 so slightly ahead. the date given on that scan is how your pregnancy is counted from then on.
Ladies - has anyone got a link to commonly used abbreviations on here that might help?
Common ones are AF - Aunt Flo, your period
DH/DP dear husband/dear partner
DC/DS/DD dear child/son/daughter usually followed by a number to indicate their age

Blimey not been on for a few days as been poorly and we are on page 17 already!!!!!

Got horrible laryngitis and now a chest infection so antibiotics for me. Am 5+5 today - did a cb digital at weekend when I was 5+2 and it was 3+ so reassured by that, feel I've done all the testing I can for moment.

Got scan next Wednesday when I'll be 6+5

I told my boss this morning - I'm only 4+4 but, without outing myself too much, she needed to know as it will impact on next year. She was lovely although I could tell I'd scuppered a few plans! It felt nice to say it out loud though, and to get a congratulations.

I'm still pretty bloated and ravenous - I had a brief stint of nausea but that has been replaced by serious hunger

Been to the gp today had my pregnancy confirmed by them. Been booked to see the midwife but not till 26th of may. Said I'd have a letter come for my first scan at 12 weeks and other than that I'm left alone which is good!!

I am only 4 weeks but I am exhausted! Anyone else have this?

I have a very high energy job so very fit but this week I am just dragging x

I've been asleep by 8pm every day this week partner is getting a little annoyed at sitting up by himself lol. I have said it's temporary and the gp gave me folic acid today so hoping that may help

I've been having to have a nap early/ mid afternoon otherwise I'm out by 7pm. Problem is I don't sleep properly when I do sleep and wake up frequently- thought not napping might help but it's even worse lol. It'll all be worth it though so staying cautiously optimistic and positive!

Just came back to let you know I'm definitively out, It's ectopic, I'm having medical management today.

Tentatively joining at 4+3, EDD 12/11

This will (hopefully) be our 2nd DC.

Already have the tingly boobs, lower back/tummy pain/pulling, heartburn through the night, and quite the vom-fest today which I didn't have last time around. Last time was plain sailing the whole way!

I am ravenous, back-achy, tired, sick as a dog and a bit meh today. Mood all over the place tbh. My DP works away so I'm home alone with the kids and it all feels quite hard work today!

I had my first appointment with midwife today she put me at 6+2 , feeling very tired and cannot be bothered to do anything . Just put DS to bed and had a shower and feel worse now so OH has gone to get a pizza because I cannot face cooking or eating anything remotely healthy

I feel awful today. Sick dizzy but no vomiting. Have the weirdest twinges going on but don't know if it's my ibs flaring up or just pregnancy twinges. I cooked a stew yesterday for tea tonight 3 kids and a bloke to feed haha. I did cheat last night and ordered pizza too x

I had my beta back from yesterday when I was 4w3d and its 2183
because of the bleed last week and my increased risk of ectopic i was sent to EPU, they scanned and can see one, maybe 2 sacks. I am on the emergency list for another scan with the high res scanner at 10am tomorrow. Not sure how to feel really - went from YAY 2183 to huh? what do you mean I need to go in for a scan.

Hoping that there are two sacks where they should be and not one sneeking off up a fallopian tube.
