Hi......anyone out there just found out they're expecting? Thought it might be nice to start a little thread!
I've tested this morning and got a feint BFP, have recently had 2 m/c so may be being optimistic but I'm tired of worrying!! If it works out it works out!! Fingers crossed. If it's a sticky one I'm due bonfire night! 5/11/17.
Anyone else out there the same??Smile

@irishlass1234 we are about the same due date!

booox · 07/03/2017 19:33

By the way I've found the cheap Sainsbury's tests and the one steps from the internet (supposedly 10 hcg) to be as good as the clear blues and others.

booox · 07/03/2017 19:33

(For those afflicted with addiction)

(Prob a bit late now mind you!)

GreedyDuck · 07/03/2017 19:49

I'm still cycling, swimming, and working out with my trainer MistyBxx! It's fine, just not the time to embark on a totally new exercise regime, and make sure you listen to your body.

You are more prone to pulling muscles due to the relaxin, and once your stomach muscles separate you have to stop doing certain things, but a good trainer should be aware of that.

MistyBxx · 07/03/2017 20:17

Thank you girlies for the exercise tips :) I've been going to circuits once or twice a week since June last year, so nowhere near as active as some of you lol but have never exercised much over my adult life so struggle with strength and general fitness although it's improved loads over the last 10 months! my trainer is very good, caring and qualified and aside from running for a pee twice during the class, and taking it a little easier than normal, I feel better for going :) boobs are so sore though, and they're only small but I'm defo gonna have to invest in a decent support bra! Sleeping is also painful!
I will be 5 weeks on Thursday. Still getting very low down pains, but been assured this is normal. Aside from that and the boobs, not much other symptoms. I'm tired all the time but I think that could be the lack of caffeine now 🙈

elio · 07/03/2017 20:18

I'm planning on running and cycling the whole way through, my main problem is time as my dh works long shifts and we have a toddler. I've got a half marathon in two weeks. Last time I felt too rough in the first trimester (from six weeks) to do much. I'd go for an hour run and feel fine but then have to basically sleep the following day, not ideal! Second trimester I kept running and cycling, just was very slow which was frustrating and eventually the bump got too uncomfy to run. I stopped cycling at 37 weeks and just kept walking. Had more problems afterwards with pelvic girdle pain which continued as i bf for a year, but improved once I stopped. Didn't have a good birth but recovered enough to start running again at about 10 weeks (deliberately waited until I was fully there rather than chance it). Also had stomach muscles separation but this also kept improving once I stopped feeding. We have a running buggy but at the moment I'm too scared that our only nap will be in it as she wakes up as soon as we get home. DuRezidal you have my childhood dream job! I'm also due 9/11

Rufus200 · 07/03/2017 20:41

Had my 6 wk scan today and there is one little heart beat in there. Very relieved there is a heart beat but also that there is only one. Quite shockingly the CL is on my left ovary that my Dr called dormant and only had a half the size it should of been follicle on it. I was sure it was going to be my right ovary that had done the job.

Awwww yayyyy Rufus so happy for you! I've got mine on Friday, but might push it to next Thursday so I'm 7 weeks.

mrsjkerry · 07/03/2017 20:48

Hello.
Hope you don't mind if I join too! I am also very early stages... 4+4! Very excited but very nervous also. Due date 10 November.

MrsB12345 · 07/03/2017 20:56

Welcome to the group @mrsjkerry. How are you feeling? Is this your first?x

mrsjkerry · 07/03/2017 21:03

It is my first...which means that every twinge and pain I panic about. Is that normal!? 😄

DuRezidal · 07/03/2017 21:04

I think I am worse with my second... with the first I didn't really know that much about pregnancy and being the first of my friends to have a baby it was all a learning curve. Whereas now I have seen friends miscarry etc and it makes it more real.

MistyBxx · 07/03/2017 21:18

Yay mrsjkerry you found it 🙌🏼 😊😊😊

mrsjkerry · 07/03/2017 21:26

Durezidal - in the back of my mind I'm always thinking that nothing is certain...! It's terrifying really when you think about it.

Hi misty! 🙌

Phephenson · 07/03/2017 21:34

Welcome @mrskelly and any other newbies - we are keeping CB digi in business I think Shock

My amazing midwife rang today because she spotted me on her list to call next week and she's about to go on mat leave herself. She was a fab support last time - bit sad she won't be my mw it's time but happy for her.

Anyway - knowing what an anxious mess I am given what happened with my first baby she got me straight down to get my betaHCG done and I go back on Thursday to have it done again. As long as it's increasing nicely that should put my anxiety at bay until my early scan at 7 weeks with the Ivf clinic.

I'll probably carry on poas though - I'm an addict Confused

Phephenson · 07/03/2017 22:02

Congratulations @Rufus200 - the first scan Smile how exciting x

MaryThorne · 07/03/2017 22:37

I'm still planning to exercise as long as possible. I'm running a couple of times a week and I do a personal training session once a week focusing on strength/ body weight exercises. First time around I was exhausted and didn't feel like doing much from about 6 weeks to 20 weeks. I think I came into it fitter and more active than last time so I hope that I won't be as hard hit by the symptoms!

CC81 · 08/03/2017 00:59

Hi all :) My test today said positive (2-3 weeks according to Clearblue).

I'm 35 and it's the first time I've ever even done a test! Both husband and I are feeling a bit weird about the whole thing - doesn't seem real. Don't want to assume too much as it's so early. I was feeling a bit sick/tired.

Got a few initial worries... and the earliest doc apt I can get is two weeks away, so would really appreciate advice/insights in the meantime :/

My concerns are mostly around the health/development of the baby. I drank quite a lot all three weekends since conception (including the most recent one - last drink was on Sunday). Is this likely to have any impact? Worried about abnormalities etc.

Also, I had minor brown bleeding for a whole week (since last Tuesday) before testing today. Thought it was my period (bang-on when it was due) - hence drinking at the weekend - but then it disappeared. Also very slight/brief red bleeding on Sunday.

I've sometimes had brown bleeding before, in the days before my period - and know it can be a sign of various issues. But I've never had any other symptoms of anything (periods always regular etc.). Has anyone else had the same?

CC81 · 08/03/2017 01:20

PS - Also, I'm new to MN and don't know how to see if I've got replies, or edit posts, or anything really...! :/ Would really appreciate help if you have a mo :/

cnew · 08/03/2017 06:50

Just done another test and it's now 3+ so happy with that. Feel sore all over today, think I have some sort of bug working on me. 4 + 6! Why are the days going so so slowly?

Phephenson · 08/03/2017 07:03

Hi @CC81congrats!
I had brown bleeding for 3 days last week - brown blood. All very normal apparently. Lots of people drink before they know they are pregnant so don't panic about it.

My hcg must be going up, 6 days since my cb digi read 1-2 and today it reads 2-3. Will ring and see what reading my bloods gave for hcg later and it's being repeated on Thursday too.

Is anyone else here on fertility drugs? I have to inject with progesterone twice a day, about to do my first one of the day - so glamourous Grin

Phe

Phephenson · 08/03/2017 07:06

@cnew
I felt like I was coming down with a cold/slight but constant headache and af was about to arrive last time and this time, then yesterday it had all gone completely Hmm
Back today with a vengeance though Smile

DuRezidal · 08/03/2017 07:13

I am still brown spotting a bit but I have looked back at another forum and it seems I did this last time until around 6 weeks.

The only symptom I have is I am sleeping like the dead! I am not a great sleeper, I don't need much to be honest, but went to bed at 9pm and just woke up at 7am!!!

MistyBxx · 08/03/2017 09:17

Morning girlies,
Today I'm 4+6.... I can't wait for another fortnight so I can book the midwife!
My symptoms are incredibly painful boobies, and they're only little but very sore!!
And very low cramps focused right in the area above my foof. Comes and goes through the day but I notice it most the time.
And I'm really tired. But that could be the lack of caffeine 🙈
Other than that, I feel normal! Looking forward to a few more symptoms soon! I feel like I need constant reassurance that my little seed is still in there 😊
What symptoms usually come next? I'm looking forward to some more symptoms to make it all feel more real!

Phephenson · 08/03/2017 09:55

I think people get symptoms in different orders. I've still got the headache, slight nausea when I'm hungry, slight AF pains but they are easing off. Carpel tunnel that hasn't fully gone from last pregnancy is back and awful - keeping me awake.
No sore boobs, didn't last time either - also didn't get an increase in size till very late on, thank goodness - I'm already pretty busty Wink

Really hoping I don't get morning sickness as bad as last time
