Hi......anyone out there just found out they're expecting? Thought it might be nice to start a little thread!
I've tested this morning and got a feint BFP, have recently had 2 m/c so may be being optimistic but I'm tired of worrying!! If it works out it works out!! Fingers crossed. If it's a sticky one I'm due bonfire night! 5/11/17.
Anyone else out there the same??Smile

Morning all! Hope everyone's alright, and not too disturbed by these utterly bizarre dreams we're having!

So, no-one questioned the lack of drinking last night as I said I was driving, so that was good. We've another 'do' in 2 weeks with the same group of friends so I'm hoping we can get away with the same excuse twice. Really don't want to say anything at someone else's celebration as I'd hate to steal their thunder. It'll be hard if I'm asked outright though, I'm a shocking liar!

cnew · 05/03/2017 08:23

Morning! Can I join please? Bfp yesterday afternoon and it's feeling a bit unreal at the moment! EDD 9 November. This will our second, have a son who will be 3 in June. Have been exhausted the past week but a lot better over the weekend! Exciting times! Sure it all feel more real when the sickness kicks in.

booox · 05/03/2017 08:36

Hello cnew!

I feel a bit better today but then I have slept better! I'm testing still with the million internet cheapies I've got left and the line is a tad stronger today.

I don't think I'd be too bothered but I have to go to the gp tomorrow and ask them to a) investigate taking aspirin from now which is what we were told when my son was born to do as he was low birth weight (last time I asked a gp they seemed clueless) and b) refer to an endocrinologist and raise my thyroxine - and work out by how much. I suspect they'll say come back in a week or so but both need to be done asap! So frustrating!

UnicornDust17 · 05/03/2017 08:58

Morning all, just popping on to thank you for your wishes but I'm definitely out. I'm quite realistic about these things, feel disappointed but have been consoling myself with forbidden cheese and red wine. Wishing you all very sticky and sparkly November babies. Ttfn x

AnyFarrahFowler · 05/03/2017 09:26

Sad to hear that Unicorn, but like you said, more practice in store for you Wink
Enjoy ALL the wine and cheese, and I'll cross my fingers for you for next month x

MistyBxx · 05/03/2017 09:35

Hi all, mind if I join?

Fresh off the conception bus, had my bfp yesterday, clearblue says 2-3 weeks and dates put me 4 weeks ish, due 11th Nov!

I'm 32, this is my first pregnancy and I'm sh*tting myself if I'm honest lol. It's such early days I'm just terrified 😳 with very sore boobies 🔴🔴

Anyfarrah! I recognise that name chick! Nice to see you again!

Hope you're all well girlies :) xx

MistyBxx · 05/03/2017 09:37

Wanna join here chicks??😊

inkybunny · 05/03/2017 10:42

I'm really sorry to hear that Unicorn.

I woke up this morning absolutely ravenous. So far I've eaten a cereal bar, half a pack of mini poppadoms and a yoghurt. I know there's some mango in the fridge and I might have to finish that shortly too!

FluttershyStare · 05/03/2017 12:28

fx for you in the future unicorn, enjoy all your wine and cheese!

My appetite has disappeared, but that didn't stop me buying to most preg-arific shop know to man earlier... I only nipped in for him bags, and came out with all the nibbly snacks known to man.

I'll be ringing for a midwife appointment tomorrow, saying it out loud to someone who's not dh will be a bit surreal I think.

FluttershyStare · 05/03/2017 12:29

My phone is awful for autocorrect

Bin bags, not him bags... no idea what they would be Grin

chocoraisin · 05/03/2017 13:57

hello! I accidentally told a RL friend today, she has DS's cot and has just moved house. I causually asked if she planned to hang onto it for long as she was looking at bunk beds for her two girls... and she was all wide eyed and OOOOHHHH DO YOU NEED IT BACK?? I am terrible at secrets. So its outta the bag a teeny bit, but it's ok. I know from past experience I'm the kind of person who wants support and hugs even if it doesn't stick this time. And I got a bag of maternity clothes gifted right away hahaha - I suspect she was as pleased to pass them on as I was to get the cot out of my way last year!! Definitely going to try and keep shtum for a while longer though with less close friends/family. Has anyone else blurted it out yet? How are you finding keeping it a secret?

cnew · 05/03/2017 14:38

I told my mum about an hour after I tested...just couldn't help it!!! My sister will guess if she sees me turning down a drink as that doesn't happen very often Wink, but I dont mind her knowing. I probably won't tell anyone else unless I struggle at work with sickness. I had to tell my line manager at about 7 weeks last time.

lightgreenglass · 05/03/2017 16:49

I am not planning on telling anyone but my sisters/family at 8 weeks - will book a viability scan beforehand to make sure there's something in there as they will be due around then and that's when I would have been due so I don't want them to feel bad. However, I feel nervous even thinking about doing that as I had my 12 week scan and lost the baby after that. So part of me thinks I should wait till my 16 week appointment. What would you do?

MistyBxx · 05/03/2017 18:13

Hi all :) I've told my parents and one close friend. But I have to tell my work tomorrow because I've just accepted a job offer in a different department which is an incredibly busy and stressful role which is gonna require loads of training courses and long, busy days and compared to my job now, suddenly seems really intense and stressful and I basically have changed my mind and want to stay where I am 🙈 fingers crossed it's not too late coz I really, really wish I hadn't taken it. Interview was Thursday when I was already a day late but I honestly didn't think I was pg this month at all! So tomorrow is going to be fun, not 😩
Anyone else cramping? Before bfp, I'd been getting slight pinchy twinges very low down above my pubic bone area, and I had noticed these didn't feel classically like af cramps. But since bfp, I'm noticing them more (maybe psychological!) but I'm terrified they feel a bit more periody! I'm literally so early, like 4+4 according to Ovia. Anyone else feel these pains?x

Phephenson · 05/03/2017 18:27

How is everyone doing today? X

Toomanydogs · 05/03/2017 18:30

I had cramping for 4 days last week and kept going to check it wasn't something sinister- they've stopped now but still not sleeping, feeling really quite nauseous and have been a hormonal rage monster today (poor DP doing his best but I'm awful). Staying cautiously optimistic but still don't think it'll really be real in my head until I've had a scan!

Phephenson · 05/03/2017 18:33

Sorry - I was stuck on page 12
Sorry to hear that @unicorn
@mistybxx we are due same day Smile
Xx

Phephenson · 05/03/2017 18:36

@toomanydogs I had awful cramps last week and spotting but both seem to have calmed down now Smile hoping they stay away but I'm pretty sure I had AF cramps up to about 10 weeks quickly overtaken with PGP aka Fanny Ache - I can't wait for that, I'm sure @cocoraisin can't either Confused

MistyBxx · 05/03/2017 18:49

Omg what is fanny ache??? I'm scared already 😂 I wish I would stop cramping, I keep running to the loo but nothing but slight discharge, no colour as such. It's a delicate time girlies!!! However, in the last couple of weeks since I conceived (unknowingly) I smoked a load of ciggies, drunk loads of wine, danced my socks of in a kings of leon gig, went on a hen weekend and have literally just found out. So I'm already feeling terrible and now trying to be as careful as possible (no more fags! It's hard but I'm coping!)

inkybunny · 05/03/2017 19:27

Misty, I've had a lot of cramping as well - so far no bleeding though so I'm feeling cautiously optimistic.

My main problem is that my breasts are so incredibly sore. Wearing a seatbelt is a killer. And I'm so crazily emotional, although I'm sure my husband would say this is no different to normal!

Porgey1 · 05/03/2017 19:39

Oh ladies... I have had a dreadful afternoon. Feeling fairly sure I'm out Sad. Have had persistent lower abdominal cramps since lunchtime, with the lower backache I usually get when I'm starting my period. No bleeding yet but I feel sure my period will start soon, so maybe a chemical for me this time.

inkybunny · 05/03/2017 19:43

Porgey, I'm keeping everything crossed for you. I had some similar feelings to that last night, but the sore breasts and nausea are back today. It's not over til it's over. Thinking of you.

Phephenson · 05/03/2017 19:44

Oh no @porgey keeping everything crossed for you

Porgey1 · 05/03/2017 19:55

Thanks ladies, didn't have any of this with my first so really unsure if it's ending or is just part of the course! May visit the GP tomorrow if cramps continue but I haven't started bleeding. Wish I had a stick to pee on!

Phephenson · 05/03/2017 20:35

Haha @misty, it's what I call pelvic girdle pain -Blush
don't be scared you probably won't get it Wink
