Kirsty progesterone causes your body to be warmer, very normal so you better get used to it 😉

Anotherminime · 24/02/2017 18:24

doomkitty I'm going skiing in two weeks - very excited about it!! Where are you going? The French food is tricky when pregnant, in fact I had a Toxoplasmosis test done to see if I'd had it before and was therefore immune and could then eat all the food! Sadly I hadn't so I'll have to be careful - they sneak undercooked meat into everything! Still maybe I'll just live off tartiflette, yum!!

emvy · 24/02/2017 18:30

Anotherminime and doomkitty - very jealous of your skiing trips! I hope the sickness stays at bay during journeys and you find plenty to eat!

88claire good to hear the sore boobs are back, ha!! I think symptoms are pretty up and down anyway by the sounds of things so I'm sure you're bound to experience days with less intense symptoms than others. Says me, who has the exact same panic 2737 times a day when my boobs don't hurt going down the stairs or I don't feel sick after not eating for an hour Grin we're all the same! A bag of nerves!

Daydreamer88 · 24/02/2017 18:47

Hope everyone with worrying symptoms gets good news soon!

Feel like everything's changed this week- Am 6 weeks today with my first. Feeling super nauseous (which I'm guessing is normal) but also have had really bad cramping/sharp pulling like pains for the last two days. It's painful to the point that it catches my breath sometimes but so far no bleeding. Got myself in such a state that that might something's going wrong. Confused Any one else experienced this?

DancingUnicorn · 24/02/2017 18:49

Praying with you chintaria! Really hope the consultant is proved wrong!

Anotherminime where did you get your toxoplasmosis test done. I'm so tempted! Going to France briefly soon, which will be depressing. No steak. And no cheese!! :'( unless I can convince them to cook me some cheese, but with my lack of French probably not!!

Finally got booking in date through and I can't go!! It's already ages away and I'm going to have to rearrange! Boo. Anyway, 7 weeks today... time is ticking by somehow!

Lovechild2016 · 24/02/2017 19:04

claire I would definitely chuck out thermometer and pee sticks! Symptoms are going to be up and down I think and ultimately I don't think there is anything we can do to change outcome, just got to grin and bear the wait and uncertainty and also remember to try and enjoy it! I am feeling much more nauseous this week no actual vomits but any food I eat makes me feel sick- except Pom bears!

doom have a lovely ski trip and hope sickness is manageable.

Glad scan was more encouraging than you expected chintaria but feel for you that's it's still not certain. Hope week goes by quickly and has a positive outcome.

MoominMama22 · 24/02/2017 19:14

Don't worry @daydreamer there's lots of massive changes going on in your body, stretching, pulling, cramping and aches all normal!
dancing I'm amazed you are even thinking of food like that. DD was playing with some WOODEN blue cheese at a friends today and I was gagging! 😂

doomkittycleo · 24/02/2017 19:20

anotherminime we're going to Val Thorens in the three valleys. The chalet hosts are usually English and I've asked the tour operator to call the company and inform them about my "dietary requirements" so hopefully they will provide me with some hard or cooked cheese, hmm tartiflette, that sounds yummy.

emvy · 24/02/2017 19:29

daydreamer I'm also about 6 weeks and am experiencing pulling symptoms. Sometimes almost stitch-like pulling as well. I've read that it's all normal as the muscles begin to change to accommodate the growing embryo. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.

DancingUnicorn · 24/02/2017 20:01

Moomin cheese seems to be the only thing I consistently want to eat! TBH though, now you mention it, the idea of French cheese isn't the best!

shellbell2014 · 24/02/2017 20:28

Hi Everyone,

Hope it's ok to join. I am due 26th October following our 1st round of IVF. They did put 2 embryos back in so looking forward to finding out how many babies when we go for our early scan on the 14th March!

UndersecretaryofWhimsy · 24/02/2017 20:59

chetaria and everyone else living in suspense, you are in my thoughts. Flowers I truly hope for good news for you.

Just want to say thanks again for everyone who reassured me about the digital test. What was driving me crazy about the whole thing was that my instinct and body were sending me good signs but because of the test I was thinking they must be false, so it was a complete roller coaster. I feel like I've been able to accept for the moment that for now I'm still pregnant, and that I'll just have to wait and see what a scan shows me.

I'm also having some cramping and sharp twinges, plus discharge so heavy that I keep thinking it might be blood, but it isn't! Also insomnia and crazy sex dreams.

Congrats and welcome shellbell Grin

Emberblu · 24/02/2017 21:31

Any of the experienced pregnant ladies here - please can you tell me and the other ones suffering with horrendous nausea, vomiting, lack of interest in any food and/or sicky lumps in the throat that make us constantly gag, that it won't be like this the whole way through? I don't care about stretch marks, getting fat, being constipated or losing bladder control, I just can't face feeling this ill the whole way through! I can't Remember what it's like to not feel ill...

Otter16 · 24/02/2017 21:33

Hi girls, just checking in. Have early reassurance scan on Thurs next week when will be 6+4. We are both really nervous after MC last time/dying to see what is going on.
The fatigue has been insane this week, like home from work straight into bed, up for dinner and back to bed! Tonight I was actually sociable and watched a programme on the couch (am in need now though needless to say!)
Thinking of everyone who has had worrying news or is waiting for a next scan xxx

DancingUnicorn · 24/02/2017 21:35

Have you been to see your GP ember? Can they give you anything to ease the nausea? Really hoping it passes for you soon. All the books/websites suggest it's unlikely to carry on all the way through the pregnancy... (though some people are unlucky)

Lovechild2016 · 24/02/2017 21:40

emberblu go see GP sounds like you need some anti-emetics sorry you are feeling so crap. It WILL get better (not sure when) but it will and you will have lovely baby at the end. Encouragingly those with hyper-emesis (which it sounds like you have got) usually have good pregnancy outcomes. I know that might not be much of a comfort right now. Thinking of you. Xxx

UndersecretaryofWhimsy · 24/02/2017 21:43

ember for most people the nausea just suddenly disappears one day around 12 to 14 weeks. A very small and unfortunate percentage have sickness the whole way through, but odds are very good you will feel better in the 2nd trimester.

Daydreamer88 · 24/02/2017 21:50

Thanks emvy and MoominMama22 it's crazy how your mind immediately goes to thinking the worst. I'm normally quite a rational person but have lost all of that in the space of a week! Hmm Never known myself to panic/worry so much! Really appreciate the reassurance. X

emvy · 24/02/2017 22:01

I feel the exact same way Daydreamer88 - I never thought I'd be one of the worriers when I was pregnant but within a week of finding out I was a nervous wreck! Much more difficult than I thought it would be. It's reassurance to know we all feel like it though!

londonloves · 24/02/2017 22:03

Hi what does team yellow mean? I am due 6th oct but tbc at scan on 15th march :-)

Daydreamer88 · 24/02/2017 22:04

Couldn't agree more emvy Smile

PlayOnWurtz · 24/02/2017 22:13

My pregnancies go - sickness and fatigue, feeling fab and very horny, feeling fat bloated ugly hormonal and full of heartburn

Zookeeper73 · 24/02/2017 22:26

Moomin my DD is really clingy atm too as she's teething and I'm also wondering what happens when there's two of them and only one of me!

chintaria I'm sorry the scan wasn't all good news, but a heartbeat is good and as another poster said, it's progress Flowers

Very jealous of those going on holidays, hope the sickness stays away!

Hope you feel better soon ember

Welcome shellbell, glad the IVF worked first time. We may have found our twin mum!

Hugs to everyone feeling anxious Flowers

MoominMama22 · 24/02/2017 22:28

Oh Ember you have all my sympathy. I won't lie to you my pregnancy with DD was so hard. I kept waiting to reach milestones when people promised me I would feel better, but I vommed from 6 weeks until 40weeks. But I'm not trying to be doom and gloom, I just don't want to say by 14 weeks you'll be fine because I was so broken when I wasn't fine. It did get better and easier, but it was tough. I didn't take the drugs they gave me because it was my Precious First Born and I didn't dare incase of some side effect. This time I take the pills! Don't be a martyr, take the pills, make sure you stay hydrated. If you're very unlucky it might not go away but it WILL get easier to manage and food will taste good again later on in pregnancy. I hope it does ease for you. I don't wish it on anyone! Flowers

GimbleInTheWabe · 24/02/2017 22:31

Had anyone else's skin broken out? My chin had been covered with spots for what seems like forever. I do normally get 1 or 2 spots when I'm due on but I've got so many now! I don't mind too much but I feel like a teenager again.
Also I've had no food cravings but a total aversion to any meat and I usually really like meat. Especially things like chicken, salmon, steak. Even thinking about them makes me feel weird. Have been eating lots of sourdough and peanut butter! Also my appetite has really decreased. Anyone else feeling like this?
