Those of you commuting while feeling rough Brew Cake Flowers Biscuit I remember doing it the first time around and it was awful!

This time I am working from home and am not completely full-time this month. Only intermittent morning sickness so far and it's more like just queasiness -- but I have to say, I'm totally exhausted. I just took an hour-long nap instead of my lunch!

Can anyone recommend an app or site for tracking how far along you are? I think I'm only about 5-6 weeks but I keep forgetting.

Travelgeek · 27/01/2017 15:23

flymo I calculate my EDD to be 9/11 too but what are the chances they'll arrive on schedule?!

penguin I have the Ovia Pregancy app which is useful for what weeks and you can add appoitments and notes but the 'news feed' is a bit annoyingly american. If anyone uses something else I'd be interested too.

Please don't tell me the nausea is going to get worse! Peaking at weeks 9/10?! I'm 7+4 and doing ok as it comes and goes but it is every day and any time of day and I'll be useless at work if it becomes worse.

TotTickle · 27/01/2017 15:34

I use pregnancy+ as an app - it works for me. Not used any other so can't tell you how it compares x

Carolina80 · 27/01/2017 15:41

Travelgeek. Unfortunately the ms can get worse. I've been off work for 2 weeks as vomitting so much. Can't even keep water or raisins down today. Although mine started at 5 and a half weeks so if you are not too bad now you probably won't get too bad. It can fluctuate too. Some days are better than others. I love my food so much so I can't wait to get into the second trimester!

puttingourhoodupdown · 27/01/2017 15:48

carolina that doesn't sound fun...sending non sickness vibes!

kep are you my DD?? At the moment she asks for mash potato and gravy at least 3 times a day!!!!!

Travelgeek · 27/01/2017 15:52

Eurgh carolina that does not sound good. Hope it passes for you soon.

EssentialHummus · 27/01/2017 15:55

Went for an early scan as DH was very keen. 1.8 cms here at 8 + 3. I know I'm pregnant but it was still strange to see this little person so clearly on the screen.

Fluffywallow · 27/01/2017 16:04

Aw lovely scan pic hummus!

Sorry to those suffering with sickness. It can feel never ending can't it Sad mine is coming and going but I think I can manage it if I eat the right food and eat regularly enough (stuffing my face earlier was not a good move in hindsight). So preparation is key..going to attempt work again on Monday but arm myself with lots of pots of food and graze graze graze.

I can't tell you how great it felt when it lifted with my DD - I was high as a kite for days.

NotMyPenguin · 27/01/2017 16:10

Great scan pic, hummus! How exciting. Makes it really feel real, doesn't it.

NotMyPenguin · 27/01/2017 16:11

Thanks for the recommendations, travelgeek and tottickle! I'll go have a look now...

Fluffywallow · 27/01/2017 16:14

Oh and for apps I have baby bump, pregnancy + and baby centre. They're ok, not brilliant but do count the days so I enjoy checking them everyday! I get particularly excited when a new week begins Grin

turtletum · 27/01/2017 16:55

All these early scans have spurred me to book one too. .although not cheap at £90! I'm still not quite sure I'm really pregnant. Does anyone else feel like this? That it's just a weird lie? I think once I've had a scan it'll feel more real. I guess I'm lucky so far with no nausea. I'm in serious awe of some of you and your commutes of epic proportions. Cannot imagine anything worse than being sick on a train, those loos are grim. Hats off to you!

Kskifred · 27/01/2017 17:10

My breakfast from 10am is still stuck in my throat/top of stomach can feel it...steering clear of meat for a while as seems like digestion is non existent. Feel so sick and considering trying to bring it up just so i can eat some dinner. Feeling miserable!!!

EssentialHummus · 27/01/2017 17:23

I'm still not quite sure I'm really pregnant. Does anyone else feel like this? That it's just a weird lie?

Yes! Even when I was with the sonographer today I had a moment of, Really? There's an actual baby in there??. I also can't get to grips with wearing a Baby on Board badge - it's like I'm cheating.

kski - I can sympathise. I've gone right off meat.

Amz26 · 27/01/2017 17:30

I'm glad I'm not the only hot headed pregnant lady kep1979 🙈 Your job sounds stressful, lets hope everyone is nice and doesn't get on your nerves! When will you be telling your work?

Such a lovely clear scan Hummus It all feels so strange when you still your little bean :) makes it feel 100% more real!!

turtletum when have you booked your scan for? :)

TotTickle · 27/01/2017 17:54

I've hit the tired wall today - I've been so lazy. Feel sorry for DS. We both slept for 2hrs this afternoon.

I've booked a scan for the 10th Feb - jealous of all your scans. Only cost £50 around me. Can't believe the variation around the country.

Frillyhorseyknickers · 27/01/2017 18:21

turtle I know how you feel- when my OH mentions it, I have to double take. He's really cracking down on the horses so if he gets his way I won't be riding long into my 2nd trimester. Sad

Hello fellow commuters. Missed my planned train out of Peterborough so I'm on a backwards facing seat feeling a bit queezy, although better than yesterday's commute.

Enviously looking around me at everyone enjoying their Friday night gin and knowing all I have is Belvoir alcohol free Shiraz. Happy Friday eh?!

MouseLove · 27/01/2017 18:26

I had my booking today and the midwife was absolutely lovely. Now I just need a nice folder for my notes lol (sorry stationery lover here) and she took 10 tubes of blood. TEN. All my regular bloods plus a few for the doctor for my thyroid. My BP was ninja at 103/65 but I'm considered high risk for the time being. 😕

Other than that. All good. X
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

sherbertlemon17 · 27/01/2017 19:29

Penguin I really like pregnancy + too for an app. DH likes reading the descriptions week to week. It's like our little tradition on a Saturday morning.

I'm not raging so much, more an emotional reck! I welled up at the new adopt a tiger advert on TV today! 😂

Managed to get in and see my GP today. She was lovely and I've got a scan booked at the EPU for tomorrow morning. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Travelgeek · 27/01/2017 20:10

Hope all goes well tomorrow sherbert.

I had already been thinking about a nice folder for my maternity notes, mouse! Will I need A4 or can I get away with A5? It'd fit better in my handbag!

Oh for a friday night G&T! Oh well.

turtletum · 27/01/2017 20:15

Good luck tomorrow sherbert. I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling like pregnancy is surreal. Thanks ladies for reassuring me that I'm not mad. I've found I'm emotionally see sawing, not so much anger but definitely weepy then super cheery. I'm hoping to book my scan for just over 2 weeks time, when I'll be 8 weeks. Waiting on confirmation of scan date.

MouseLove · 27/01/2017 20:33

TravelGeek my notes are A4 and I got a lot of leaflets too. I've not even sifted through them as I was working from home after and straight out tonight for dinner!

All I know is my right arm is numb. Flu jab and lots of bloods. Urgh

Travelgeek · 27/01/2017 20:56

Excellent. Thanks mouse will keep my eye out for something now.

I definitely agree on the surreality of it all too.

kep1979 · 27/01/2017 21:04

Good luck Sherbet

Amz it's a bit complicated with work as I'm freelance and my contract is up in April. Now as my project doesn't complete until the end of May I am expecting an extension - so hoping for at least until end of July. Not sure when to say something to be honest. I don't want to mislead, but at the same time I need to be sensible and make sure I get an extension until July as I won't earn anything whilst I'm off.

OkyDoke · 27/01/2017 21:44

Yes all feels very surreal to me too! Ive got my private scan on Sunday (£89 here) which im simultaneously very excited and nervous about.
