Thought I would get there 1st!!!

Zooming in - almost finished housework and feeling less stressed out - poor DH, he came home to a very wound-up mummy when he got home for lunch - after almost driving into a wall on my way back from dropping him off at work (!!!!) and doing lots of cleaning and hoovering, I must say I am feeling better! Still got lots to do though .....

Zoom, Zoom, Zoom ........

ARGH - Can't remember anything anyone said, apart from MrsGV getting the wrong end of the stick ..... LOL!

Hope everyone else is ok!!

Have just ordered myself (for mothers day!) the blue spotty coat from Boden and John Lewis flowers for loads of impending birthdays!

I have my consultants appointment on thursday about Ernie's (bump) size and to decide on delivery - still unsure whether to opt for natural delivery or section/sterilisation - think will all depend on his size - don't think have the strength to withstand natural delivery with my spd.... but it could all happen really easily .... aarargggghhhhh - its doing my head in!

Still not dressed...

Afternoon - DH has gone over to hall to set some stuff up for the Party this afternoon - Can't believe my Big Baby Girl is three!!! Is very excting, but getting stressed about how we are going to negotiate all the prep - girls are sleeping atm and DH is out taking stuff to the hall, Pass the Parcel is wrapped and cake is decorated (it looks fab if I don't say so myself!! Will post pic later....), need to get girls up and into Party frocks (cue: lots of screaming and tantruming, esp from DD2) and be there at 2pm for bouncy castle delivery. Nothing for me to do now though, so just catching up here!

@ all these mummies whose DH's are taking children out - my DH never does stuff like that!! It is always me and him and the girls - which I love, but would be great to get a flippiin' break on occasion.

Have a good one CD. Looking forward to seeing pics of the cake!

muminabigtumi · 25/02/2007 17:48

Hope the party went well CD - don't know WHERE you get the energy!!! I'm exhausted after having had one friend over to play!

Maveta, the Spanish supermarket near my Mums is weird in lots of other ways too. Like you are meant to weigh some of your own vegetables but not others and it is not necessarily the prepacked stuff you don't weigh, and you are meant to weigh some packs of biscuits and other dry goods but not others, it all seems very random

Hello everyone, we went out for our anniversary dinner last night. It was lovely and DH got me a picture I'd been looking at in the shop - isn't he lovely?!

7weeksandcounting · 25/02/2007 19:43

CD - hope the party was a huge success!

Katy - glad you had nice anniv and big cheer for dh!

Have been to my relaxation class - waiting for dh to get out of bath then off to soak body in lots of bubbles!

Will catch up tomorrow

Enjoy your bath 7weeks - one of the only unfortunate things about our new house (apart from the hideous decor) is that the bathroom is right next to our girls' room and DD2's cot is right by the wall which the bath is on - We've tried a couple of times to fill it up after they have gone to bed, but, alas, to no avail .....

Party was absolutely fab - went really well - bouncy castle and "singing time" were big successes, as was having a "chocolate, biscuit, cake, crisp free" buffet - would recommend!! Only big yuk was having to wake DD's up from sleep to dress them and get them ready - absolute hysterics, really awful - luckily most people were late and they'd calmed down a bit by the time everyone was congregated. Both girls mega hyped up now, esp DD1 - refusing to go to bed. Hoping they will settle soon - I am knackered and just wanna chill.....

Will post pics (inc legendary cake tomrorow hopefully - still need to download from camera.)

Glad your Anniversary was lovely Katy!

Hoep everyone has had super weekends. Monday tomorrow. Grump.

Looking forward to seeing the cake CD - did you make mini-firemen for it?

7weeksandcounting · 25/02/2007 20:50

Oooh can I get a pic of the firemen??!

muminabigtumi · 25/02/2007 21:00

Glad the party went with a bang CD!!!
I am having a Pregnant Lady Crisis - I am DESPERATE for something sweet and there is not a biscuit or piece of chocolate in the house!!! Phil is already in his PJ's and has a job interview tomorrow first thing so do not feel I can ask him to go out but I am driving myself insane thinking about it....I've just had a great big tea yet I just need something sweet! I spied some caramel Snack a Jacks at the back of the cupboard but when I managed to retrieve them....they had gone soft, god knows how long they had been there!!!!! Seriously considering just having some Sugar Puffs - just need to satisfy my sweet tooth!
May just have to go to bed instead
Night all

Hi all.

God, so much to catch up on again. I have read everything and again have forgotten loads, so apologies.

CD, glad the party went well. You are very brave having it at home.

Welcome back 7 weeks - glad you had a good week with your sister. PMSL at the farting incident. God love you!

We are back from the pil's. Went out for a lovely meal with dh last night. Had a crap night sleep again though due to this bloody cold. It's like being suffocated! Was awake for 2 hours! B woke up at 6.45 which was better than yesterday. Managed to persuade the pil's that they needed to sort the heating out so it didn't come on and wake her up. Lo and behold it worked! So, birds my arse!

Anyway, need to get on. Really hope everyone is well, and lo's and dh/dp's are behaving themselves.

Maybe see you later. Going to try and get to bed soon. My ribs are so painful again round the back - feel like they are on fire.

Right, enough whinging.

Lots of love xx

Katy44 · 25/02/2007 21:18

SOSPL - hope you have a good night's sleep and are feeling better tomorrow.
MIABT - do you have hot chocolate? Any sweets left over from halloween? (That caught me out last time). Failing that put a call out for Big Onion on the emergency number - he's very reliable!

Katy44 · 25/02/2007 21:30

Is it nearly April yet?

maveta · 25/02/2007 21:32

CD - glad the party went well and the cake turned out well too, can´t wait to see the photos. You are a good mummy!

7 weeks- enjoy your bath, sounds lovely..

SOSPL - That sounds like the same pain I´ve been having, in my back around the middle part of my ribs on the right. It´s horrible and I spend as much time as possible draped over my exercise ball. Hope you manage to get a decent night´s sleep but it is hard when it feels like your ribs are in a vice.

Katy44 - that is VERY sweet of your dh, it´s so lovely he was so observant and remembered it was something you´d be after. You must have been very chuffed.

WCL - your mum´s supermarket does sound weird! Not had any weird weighing problems except for some supermarkets weigh at check out and some don´t so if you don´t remember it can be a right pain as you have to go back and weigh it all or, as often happens, say sod it and leave all your fruit and veg behind.

MIABT - I have coco pops in for exactly this emergency, am sure the sugar puffs will help, just try not to think ´but it´s not the saaaaame´ while you´re eating them! Had a moment last night. we went out for dinner and I ordered choc cake for dessert. It came and was chocolate mousse cake . Waiter got in a bit of a huff about taking it back so didn´t come back to see if I wanted anything else. Just sat and watched dh eat his (which i couldn´t share as it had cream, which I don´t eat) . Afterwards insisted on a detour via a nearby diner which makes wicked choc brownie and ice cream. Was determined not to go home without my chocolate!

maveta · 25/02/2007 21:34

LOL Katy. we wish.

Doesn´t help does it when everyone keeps pointing out - "aaah but when the baby´s here you´ll look back on this time you had alone and wish you´d made more of it."

Yeah right, so you´ll NOT be pregnant right now then, right?

Katy44 · 25/02/2007 21:37

I know, I get that too! At 32 weeks pregnant, what else am I going to be doing apart from going to work, eating, sleeping and reading baby books? I don't quite feel up to flying round the world or going to all night parties!!

mammyjo · 25/02/2007 21:39

Inclined to agree with them at times. If I am having a bad day with baby I probably will be wishing it back in! Know I did with ds on a couple of occassions! Right now though I am really uncomfortable and fed up and cant wait to get it all over with.

SOSPL, have a good sleep tonight if you can. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

CD, glad the party went well and dd's had a good time. Look forward to seeing a pic of your masterpiece

Katy44 · 25/02/2007 21:39

And posting on MN of course - how on earth did I forget that one?

Katy44 · 25/02/2007 21:39

"wishing it back in"
Is that like labour in reverse??

maveta · 25/02/2007 21:40

exactly! speaking to my big sis on the phone today, obviously sounded a bit blah with everything and she came out with this. I said, well not really because I feel like I´m on pause while everyone around me is on normal speed.. she said ´but why would that be, can´t you just carry on doing what you´d normally do?´. I said no, or maybe I´d be at the gym, sleeping off a hangover, maybe rolling a spliff if I was that bored (oh boy are those days far behind me..) or going out with any of my friends that weren´t currently doing any of the above...

Meh.

mammyjo · 25/02/2007 21:41

Yes it definitely is. Seriously, the thought crossed my mind when ds was tiny and screaming and generally driving me mental!!

maveta · 25/02/2007 21:42

mammyjo.. oh I can see what they´re trying to say but when I´m fed up and overtired and just had enough I reckon I´ll be wishing back my pre pregnant days - NOT my 32 weeks pregnant days!! LOL.

Katy44 · 25/02/2007 21:43

Ouch!
Well, I'm going to go and read my "Bestfeeding" book. Might get some funny looks from DH as I tend to practice as I read!
