Thought I would get there 1st!!!

Zooming in - almost finished housework and feeling less stressed out - poor DH, he came home to a very wound-up mummy when he got home for lunch - after almost driving into a wall on my way back from dropping him off at work (!!!!) and doing lots of cleaning and hoovering, I must say I am feeling better! Still got lots to do though .....

Zoom, Zoom, Zoom ........

ARGH - Can't remember anything anyone said, apart from MrsGV getting the wrong end of the stick ..... LOL!

Hope everyone else is ok!!

Hello all!

Back from half term at sisters - knackered after drive back from Manchester so quick post to say hello.

Hope everyone okay xoxoxoxoxox

7weeksandcounting · 24/02/2007 19:14

Couldn't resist the unreasonable thread

Not about to get stressed over the thread title thing - some people have too much time to spare and too few things to worry about! (not aimed at us lot obviously )

7weeksandcounting · 24/02/2007 19:19

emmymummy - which ones did you buy?

WestCountryLass · 24/02/2007 19:20

I am now 35 weeks and DS was born at 33+5. Because he had trouble maintaining his body temp and feeding he was 4.5lbs when I took him home (5.5lbs born). So i'd be imagining baby to be about 6lbs at the moment (DD was 8lb 12oz at 39 weeks).

7weeksandcounting · 24/02/2007 19:36

WCL - the last few weeks must have been so worrying for you xoxoxoxoxoxoxox I spend most of my time wishing for the baby to arrive - I can't imagine how traumatic it must have been for all of you who have had them early I know I should be very grateful baby Ernie is still happily nestled in my tummy knocking six bells out of my ribs!

7weeksandcounting · 24/02/2007 19:46

I come back from holiday and you all bugger off - hummmppphh - will go put boys to bed then check back in!

AngeG · 24/02/2007 19:47

emmymumy - 2 pushchairs I've only got two and both of them are the ones I used with DS.

7weeks - PMSL at your post on that thread Glad you had a good time away, rest up tonight after your long drive.

WCL - you must be feeling like me, pleased that we've got so far this time

Emmymummy · 24/02/2007 20:57

7Weeks - love your comments on the inappropriate thread. 26th November though? .

Ange - got a Bebe Confort Loola with car seat that attaches to the frame. Really easy to click in/out the different seats, simple to collapse, seems very sturdy, folds up small, lightweight, so does everything we wanted really. We also got a Micralite buggy which was reduced from £179 to £49.99! Couldn't resist as it'll be perfect for walking in the woods/off road generally as it is very light, very compact and has big wheels. Also very simple so easy to clean after being caked in mud on said off-road trips (of which we tend to do many!).

7weeksandcounting · 24/02/2007 21:02

Hoorah someones up! Hi AngeG but alas land of nod calls and am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed!

Just a quick funny note:

Opened door to sainsburys man this evening and promptly farted really loudly

again!

7weeksandcounting · 24/02/2007 21:03

Ooh do like the loola - was tempted by that one too!

Must go now....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Farty Pants xxxx

AngeG · 24/02/2007 21:09

7weeks or should I say farty pants - PMSL I've still got tears running down my face

Emmymummy - Sounds like a great deal on the micralite pushchair. I like the loola too.

WestCountryLass · 24/02/2007 21:27

I can't find the thread that kicked off Is it in this forum??

And 7weeks, could you not blame it on squeaky floorboards????

zazas · 24/02/2007 22:33

Hello All! Have been following the thread and all the stuff about the tittle - kept me amused!

My sympathies to those with sick children - it is tough going when they are little, mine seem now to deal with what is going around so much better and that is less sleepless nights for all thank goodness.

Maveta - I am with you on the nappy front - have 3 different sorts and still don't know which direction to go.....!

Have just bought the stroller today - had to be a Mountain Buggy with me being a Kiwi (plus had them before) - makes it all seem very close now.

We were out with all 4 kids last night, (DP's and mine) and as there is only 3 years between the lot of them, we get quite a few funny looks usually. I over heard a woman say to her DP "oh my god, she has another one on the way!"

Better get to bed for another night of vivid dreams! Night.

Eddas · 25/02/2007 08:47

Morning, no posts yet today? Do i assume you lucky ladies are all having a lay in

DD got up early for her this morning at 6.40. Not early I know but it is for me!!!!

7 weeks ROFL at your addition to the other thread! Can I sign up for elective c/s please, really don't want to push again

ooo and ROFL at farting too!!

WCL, I'm a bit crap with links and things but i'm sure someone will be on later who can do a link for you

Am very pleased for all of you that have got further than with previous pg's. My only other experiance was an overdue one but i'd imagine early is a lot scarier and more worrying.

Katy44 · 25/02/2007 09:01

7weeks - pmsl at the sainsbury's man!
Eddas - so glad you brought that up on the other thread - I was trying to be restrained but kicking myself I hadn't already mentioned it WCL - it's this one

liath · 25/02/2007 09:11

Been awake since 5.30 - probably because i fell asleep really early last night. Annoying as dd didn't surface till 8.30.

PMSL at the Saisbury man. Been very flatulant here too, to the regular & gleeful announcement from dd that "Mummy FART!!". Bump & ribs really sore yesterday & loads of Braxton Hicks.

MIBT, hope you've recovered from your driving scare, it sounded horrible.

Have a good sunday everyone. Off to Deep Sea World today to introduce dd to some sharks !

maveta · 25/02/2007 09:14

Welcome back 7 weeks...given up on the countdown in days?? LOL re. sainsbury´s man...

You´ve all done well on that other thread, I´m afraid I couldn´t bring myself to jump in, was not in the slightest way in the mood to be wound up by saying something and then getting jumped on.

Having a very quiet weekend here.. almost dying with boredom yesterday but dh took me out for a long walk in town (insert mage of maveta as retriever or similar) to tire me out. Which worked, had a wee nap and then went out for dinner. All very sedate. Today looks like much the same. Dh off to play his drums for a bit, wants to go for a jog and then see his Mum and me...uuuummm.. I´m going to... get back to you all on that. God I need a hobby.

At least before I was pregnant I might be hungover enough right now not to notice I have nothing to do

Emmymummy · 25/02/2007 09:15

Zazas - at comment from woman re. you being pregnant - nosey old bint! Yes, we're up the buff, doesn't mean it's open season to say what you like to us!

7 Weeks - had to laugh about your farting - they just pop out all the time don't they. Should have blaimed the cat, or one of the kids (that's what I do ).

Having a lie-in at present (well have gone back to bed at any rate). Dh is taking Em out to an indoor play place, but they've just brought the laptop up here to show me that they've beaten my high-score on Chicken Invaders - bah!

runnyhabbit · 25/02/2007 09:58

morning all

lol at farty pants have to say though, I can't actually remember the last time I farted ds and dh are making up for me atm.

dh is working today, but he got up with ds and given him his breakfast. think I'm going to try and wrangle lunch or tea at my parents

with all this talk about prams and strollers, I'm feeling the need to go and buy something new for this lo. We bought an M&P Freestyler for ds, which although is big, it is very light, and we've never bought/used anything else. Might just have to have a wander around Mothercare

muminabigtumi · 25/02/2007 10:28

Morning

7weeks - nice to "see" you back! Thanks for giving me a giggle with your sainsbury's man story!!

Realy pleased for all of you who have got further in this pregnancy than last time - it must be a big reassurance for you.

Had a fab day yesterday - my friend Jane and I left children with husbands and went to IKEA (I'm allowed a once yearly trip by Phil...) I LOVE IKEA!!! Managed to be considerably restrained and didn't go too mad...but did get my chest of drawers for all my baby clothes which means I can really get organised after Phil has done his DIY bit after breakfast. Also got a fab little rechargable night light that you don't have to have plugged in for when I get up in the night with baby and it won't wake us all up too much (Have been hunting for one for ages).

When we got back some other friends also came over with their kids so there were 7 adults and 5 children in total! We got a takeaway and the kids played really well together (age range from 9 months - 3) in a big inflatable ball pool that we blew up and put in the living room. Needless to say James was exhausted but still got up relativley early at 7am...but Phil got up with him. James made that much noise that I couldn't sleep so have ended up getting up anyway!
Never mind...gonna go and chill out and read the paper as James has now gone back to sleep...grrrrrrrrr

Hope you all have a good day
xxx

mammyjo · 25/02/2007 10:46

Morning all, hope everyone is having a good weekend.

7 weeks, lol at your farty pants story! Not having too much trouble with bottom burping here just now. Ds and dh do enough for me too. Ds was running through IKEA yesterday and let off a huge one. They just dont care though do they? At least he was polite enough to say pardon me!! What did the sainsburys man say or did he just choose to ignore the sound?!

Having a bit of quiet time as dh has taken ds out for a couple of hours. Blissful

maveta · 25/02/2007 10:47

I am so.jealous. of all of you in the UK with sunday shopping. Over here NOTHING is open on sunday. well cinemas and bars/ restaurants are but no shops. None. Not even the supermarket. Not even the garden centre. Maaaaaan. I´m going for a bath...

mammyjo · 25/02/2007 10:51

Its funny about the shops though because a few years ago nothing would be open on Sunday but now its just a normal shopping day. Not everything is open but all the big shops tend to be. Just as well as I will be off to sainsburys once I can be bothered to have a shower.

WestCountryLass · 25/02/2007 11:35

Where are you Maveta, Outer Mongolia?????

My Mum lives in Spain and the big hypermarkets have only just started opening on Sundays in the last few years. We went a few Xmasses ago and nothing was open for what seemed like weeks, whereas here shops close on Xmas Day and that is pretty much it.

I found the link btw. I didn't even know that forum existed. By the time I got there, once again, it had pretty much blown over. It's all very silly, no? I have better things to do than be offended by someones postings on the internet.....

Have only just got up today as we spent yesterday moving furniture around, cleaning aand sorting out baby stuff. I am officially ready for the baby now! I am going to buy some new bedding at Ikea tomorrow as our old stuff is being used for the homebirth and I am going to get a new set of baby clothes for him or her to wear when they are born, just body suit, sleepsuit and hat which they will probably cough loads of mucus up on in 2 minutes anyway!!!!!!

Getting quite excited now

Oh, and has everyone started piling on the poounds or is it jsut me? I have not gained any weight at all and then in last 2 weeks have put on half a stone

maveta · 25/02/2007 11:51

LOL WCL..you´d think so wouldn´t you? I´m in Spain, Mallorca to be precise. And here not even the big hypermarkets open on Sunday. Maybe twice a year if that, and when they do open it seems to be for no apparent reason and never advertised. Weird.

Don´t know re. the weight, haven´t been weighed since last AN appt but have one on wed so will let you know... then again you are almost a whole month ahead of me so I would hope you´re a bit ahead in the weight gain or I´m in real trouble
