Thought I would get there 1st!!!

Zooming in - almost finished housework and feeling less stressed out - poor DH, he came home to a very wound-up mummy when he got home for lunch - after almost driving into a wall on my way back from dropping him off at work (!!!!) and doing lots of cleaning and hoovering, I must say I am feeling better! Still got lots to do though .....

Zoom, Zoom, Zoom ........

ARGH - Can't remember anything anyone said, apart from MrsGV getting the wrong end of the stick ..... LOL!

Hope everyone else is ok!!

Know what you mean. You wouldnt choose to feel uncomfortable, have crap sleep patterns and struggle even to get up off the sofa!

Eddas · 25/02/2007 21:46

Mmmm coco pops!! Off to the cupboard in a minute

Have you got any syrup MIBT? Could have syrup on toast? Not quite the same if you need chocolate. I always need chocolate!! I needed jelly sweets the other week and was shocked when dh suggested jelly tots!!! Oh no hun not the same thing at all, i need jelly sweets LOL, he still doesn't get it!!!!

Katy, not sure about labour in reverse not too keen on that!! Out's bad enough but pushing it back up. My friend did tell me that our local hospital will not let you deliver a breech baby, i asked if it started coming out butt first do they push it back in and she said yesSorry completly off the subject but your post reminded me about it!!!

No, can't wait anymore must have coco pops!!

maveta · 25/02/2007 21:46

katy - um, enjoy! And remember not to squeeze too hard! lol

Night girls, sleep well...here´s hoping x

weeonion · 25/02/2007 23:54

hey folks - just a v v quick post. had no computer and MN for what feels like ages so will catch up with all your "fluffy" news in the morning.

had such a busy weekend with DIY disasters at every turn....

weeonion · 26/02/2007 08:10

goodmorning folks.
i have put my name down for the buddy idea. maybe i am being stoooopid or well out of the loop but how do i get a name or an actual number??

geordiemacminx · 26/02/2007 08:58

I'm backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!

Emmymummy · 26/02/2007 09:01

Weeonion - 1becomes3 has kindly offered to pair us up with another on the list (someone woh's not due at the same time) and then the pair will exchange emails & mob phone no.s so that the one not giving birth can tell the rest of us how it's all going! Does that make sense? Brain not good this morning.

SOSPL & Maveta - also suffering extraordinary rib pain. Do not remember this from last time. Thought maybe it was something to do with the position of the baby (laying across my tum), but maybe not if you're both getting this too. Also developed what feel like a horrendously painful stich down my left side last night which made moving agony. Poor dh could only watch helplessly as I struggled to get on/off chairs and into/out of bed last night. Fingers crossed it feels better this morning.

CD - looking forward to seeing these cake pics. Please explain crisp/chocolate/biscuit free buffet...is that possible to do without all the LOs kicking off?

Have my first NCT class this morning (for mums with 1+ kids), so should be interesting as I guess we'll not be going into the ins & outs of giving birth (hopefully). Am hoping it'll just be a good oppurtunity to meet some nice mums and have a good chat!

LOL at pushing the babies back in - yup, I can remember having that thought when dd was a complete nightmare when tiny. Also made me laugh as am reading a book about living on a sheep farm in Wales at the moment and if the lambs start to be born with their legs in the wrong position, you have to push them back in, sort their legs out (with your arm up a sheep's bum), and then let the ewe have another go. Sounds lovely. Not one I'll be trying anytime soon .

Emmymummy · 26/02/2007 09:02

Oh boy GMM, you have missed a fight!!!!!

geordiemacminx · 26/02/2007 09:22

Oooo sign me up for whatever it is too!!!!

I kinda got the general idea.... but am feeling too worn out to trail through every message.. its just one of the things with MN, when its great it really is, but sometimes its completely the opposite!!!

How is everyone?? No babies yet??

weeonion · 26/02/2007 09:24

hey gmm! so - c'mon make me jealous with yr tales of espanol! did the bump get skim of a tan?

Emmymummy · 26/02/2007 09:26

OK Gmm, hopefully this is the link to the buddy list here .

No babies yet, just lots af aches & pains & sleepless nights!

geordiemacminx · 26/02/2007 09:32

Rightyo signed up for that!!

Can certainly sympathise with the sleepless nights - usually awake at 3am...

Barcelona was fantastic, can recommend it as a fab place for a weekend break.

Weather was lovely - 18/19 most days, hotel was amazing, right in the centre, few footbally type people staying there at the same time, food was lovely - especially all of the ice cream parlours that they have!! Did lots of touristy things, walked miles, no problems with stupid hips which was great, oh and liverpool won so dp was chuffed!!

Only 3 days left at work... WOOOO HOOOOOO

weeonion · 26/02/2007 09:48

you get charlie any cute spanish clothes??

7weeksandcounting · 26/02/2007 09:52

Morning everyone - spd sore this morning BUT I had 9 hours unbroken sleep HHORRAYAYAYAYAY!

Glad your hol went well GMM - very jealous!

Have a huge bin liner of baby stuff from my sister to unpack - mostly bigger stuff - but lots of toys etc - so planning to do that this morning.

DH actually managed to paint our bedroom while I was away - didn't do the woodwork - but pelvis too sore for that - maybe next week! Also need to hang new light and pictures up.

Only bit of DIY left before baby is to paint lower half of hall - in same colour - boys been drawing on it etc! and put a border up in ds2's room which we must have had for getting onto 6 months!

Have consultant on thurs - still worrying about what to do, then medical herbalist about my insomnia, then friday going to view the photos of the boys over in Marlborough - will also have nice lunch and pop into Urchin! and then on saturday have a breastfeeding workshop all afternoon and friends for dinner - so making most of quiet start to week!

Hope all have nice day.

Am selling my ellaroo sling if anyone interested - on for sale boards.

Birdiebump · 26/02/2007 09:58

Good morning all.

Welcome back GMM! V. of Spanish trip.

I think I have a touch of SPD as walking any distance getting v painful. Also soooo breathless.

Right. WEIGHT GAIN. My bump looks as though I'm overdue, tbh and I have put on one stone 5lbs since the beginning of the pregnancy. What has everyone else put on???? Is this loads or a little? I know that I put on way more in both my other 2 pgcys but then I wasn't as big to start with . Can we have a poll???

geordiemacminx · 26/02/2007 09:59

To be honest the spanish stuff wasnt as nice as some of the stuff over here - no wonder Maveta got her mum to ram raid mothercare!!! Got a few wee bits from H&M but probably the same as we could have got over here... oh actually I'm lying - we managed to get a 0-3 months motorhead baby gro - it is the cutest thing you have ever seen... even if it did cost 20 euro!!

Something else too.. dp reckons he has never seen so many people eying up my bump... but the whole time I was there I only saw one other pregnant lady.. very strange!!

7weeksandcounting · 26/02/2007 10:06

Birdie - you asked me to remind you about the group strep B test - getting close to when should be doing it 35-37 weeks.

I didn't weigh myself at the beginning so not sure how much weight have put on - everyone says I look really small and neat - despite him being 3 weeks bigger!

My ankles have started to swell a bit which freaks me out when have indents from socks

But I have no stretchmarks still - so am very pleased - considering it is number 3! It will be my luck that will go upstairs and find some now!

This seems completely insane - but dh would rather the boys were at school for the first few weeks so we can have some time with no.3 - but if have section it is likely they will be off for 2 week easter break - if have natural delivery - and likely to be late - they go back on the 19th (due on 15th) - one of the things which is pulling me towards a natural delivery - oh my head is going explode arrrrrrrrgghhhhhhhhhhhhh

mmk · 26/02/2007 10:11

Hello to all, hope you are feeling well.
Thank you for the link Katy

Am just recovering from the most hormonal weekend of my entire life. Saturday, I hated DH so much, wanted to stab him!! Sunday, I just wanted to get as far away from him as possible. Today, just feel guilty. What is this all about? Uusally, I think he is warm and lovely....

We ate out three times, DS flatly refused to eat anything of his own free will, and begged every passing waitress for "pudding"

6 weeks to go, and feeling hot and hormonal. Now a trip to Spain would be just the thing. We went to Madrid 3 times for IVF, and never saw a pregnant woman, but saw loads of art!

We put the cot together, and the changer. Am really looking forward to things now.

weeonion · 26/02/2007 10:14

i think i have put on nearly 2.5 stone now but dp has removed the scales from the flat. usually obsessive about my weight and food but very relaxed during this pg. not sure a poll is a good idea tho'.....

gmm - we bought a v cute jonny cash babygro along with a che geurva one!

just had a phone call from an old old friend - havent seen in over a year to say that his wife has split up with him and taken their baby back to vienna. he has a flat full of baby stuff and is bringing it to us tonight. mixed feelings - very glad to get stuff but alos v v sad that this has happened to them. shoudl have seen it coming to be honest - he became obsessed with his son and always ignored his partner. shame for all.

1becomes3 · 26/02/2007 10:19

welcome back GMM, so of your trip,I could do with a nice holiday, don't think I would be able get out of bed though.
Have you caught up with all the fun of last week, I am still laughing about it!

For any of you that are unsure about the buddies i am going to check through the list to make sure those of us who want to be there are there, and then I am going to put everyone into pairs, hopefully with people who are not due at the same time, then I will post the list and I suppose you can just leave a message on this thread with your email address for your buddy and swap numbers via email.
Saves putting all our mobile numbers on here, you never know who is lurking these days

Bramshott · 26/02/2007 10:27

Hi all. Just popping in to say I'm still here, no baby yet (34+1 - yaayyy), just a new computer which has if anything been as painful and protracted as labour!!

Will check back later and try to read some of the masses of messages. What have I missed?!?

7weeksandcounting · 26/02/2007 10:27

I have just been on an SPD website called the The Pelvic Partnership - there is a bit on giving birth with spd which is really positive. HTH

1B3 - you are being very organised!

Tili · 26/02/2007 10:33

morning ladies.

Hope everyone is well not had chance to catch up yet.
I have just added myself to the buddy list what a brilliant idea.
My lovely ILS have bought our pram for us! it was lovely of them to offer so we went off on sat to have a look and we are getting the M&Ps mod+. Cant wait to get it it has had to be ordered so hopefully will arrive before baby.

Anyway going to go and attempt to catch up before I pick Beth up from preschool.

Take care all xx

Birdiebump · 26/02/2007 10:44

Thank you 7weeks! I wish I could remember ot remind myself about things, nevermind other people ! I have a watched Strep B thread with a link to that website where you order the tests etc. so will get on the case.

WEIGHT GAIN - Just to remind everyone - I'm doing a little poll on how much everyone has gained so far since the beginning of the pgcy - also wondering how much more we can expect to put on before the end. I just can't imagine my bump getting any bigger - it already looks like those picture of "post-mature" ladies. Ah well, suppose if anyone is a "post mature" lady it is I!

33.5 weeks today.

CaptainDippy · 26/02/2007 11:06

The Pelvic Partnership - LOL - That's an amusing name - hope it give out some helpful advice / support though - [[hugs] to all those suffering with SPD - I get pains in my hips and knees, but definitely not SPD - just extra weight and no muscle!! You poor things - more [[hugs]]

LOL @ Firemen comments- would have loved a couple of hunky firemen to go with my cake; but sadly - t'was not to be (think DH turned them away at the door ...... obviously they were all clamouring to see me..... >) Will try and post pics asap, just gotta wait for FIL to send them to me - could be this evening.

SOSPL - I didn't have the Party at home - Do I look crazy!!!!??? (actually, don't answer that, esp those who were on the SE meet-up!! ) I had the Party in the church hall where DD1 goes to Pre-School.

Emmy - There were no probs with the lack of cakes / choc / biscuits / crisps etc - the children didn't seem to notice / care; but perhaps that's cos they were mainly three and under??? Though, saying that, the older ones didn't seem to mind either - and there was cake to eat at the end .... Hope your 1st NCT Class goes well and they're a nice bunch!

7weeks - Yey!! to good sleep!! I think I slept ok last night (went to bed too late though); still had to get up waaaay too early though imho!! @ no stretch marks on your third - Wow! How do you do it???? I haven't got many, but I do have few, some are quite red and deep....

Welcome Back GMM!! Glad you had a lovely time! Ooooh, you've missed a treat with the "battle"!!

Right, gotta start making Thank You's ....
