Thought I would get there 1st!!!

Zooming in - almost finished housework and feeling less stressed out - poor DH, he came home to a very wound-up mummy when he got home for lunch - after almost driving into a wall on my way back from dropping him off at work (!!!!) and doing lots of cleaning and hoovering, I must say I am feeling better! Still got lots to do though .....

Zoom, Zoom, Zoom ........

ARGH - Can't remember anything anyone said, apart from MrsGV getting the wrong end of the stick ..... LOL!

Hope everyone else is ok!!

charnbump - you are my date buddy so hoping you are ok. nothing much else i would say but maybe lie low for a wee while when you get back from work and if pains are still there - head down to the hospital???

hellcat. dp cant quite stop looking at my boobs given how much bigger they have got and i agree with the others - a bit of oil and the request for a massage has worked wonders!

maveta - glad yr dh has come round to the idea of real nappies. let him think it was all his idea from the start and then you are on a winner!

clarice - glad the scan went ok - it must be lovely to see LO so far on!!

Katy44 · 26/02/2007 18:19

Hello everyone,

Happy Birthday twinkle!

Welcome Hellcat - nice to meet you. Glad your first question was in keeping with the rest of the threads! My DH has similar worries, I think once they get desperate enough they believe you when they say they're being silly!

CharNBump - no advice sorry, hope you're OK xx

GMM - welcome back! Glad you had a lovely time. I have been stalking you while you were away you'll be pleased to hear.

Katy44 · 26/02/2007 18:26

OK, I promise to (try to) resist the urge, but can someone point me to the other ranting thread, or at least tell me which section it's in?

EllieKwithaHUGEbump · 26/02/2007 18:27

HELLO LADIES

EllieKwithaHUGEbump · 26/02/2007 18:27

ranting thread? oooh, what have i missed?

runnyhabbit · 26/02/2007 18:33

charnbump - if you're still in pain, then ring the mw again, or the maternity ward, even just to be on the safe side. My contractions with ds were intense, but not sharp iyswim. More ike very strong period pains.

wo - yes he was in Glasgow last week. He went passed Loch Lomund (sp?) and said the scenery was so beautiful, he had to pull over and have a proper look. Think we might be visiting sunny Scotland for a holiday later in the year. I've only ever been to Edinburgh (and that was a hen weekend, so can't really remember much )

as for sex - we've both been gagging for it (well, he was away last week ) but it really seems to aggrevate my thrush. Will have to see the doc, because I cannot be going without!

7weeksandcounting · 26/02/2007 18:35

CharnBump - would go get checked out - better to be safe Labour and back to back babies cause back ache - but with such a sudden onset may be muscular or disc - worth getting seen even if just to be referred to physio. Good luck and try not to panic!

Let us know how you get on

Katy44 · 26/02/2007 18:36

Welcom e back Ellie - did you have a good time? Lots of wham and madonna?

7weeksandcounting · 26/02/2007 18:37

There is no way I am planning to have sex til atleast 38 weeks or desperation sets in!

I am changing my name now...

EllieKwithaHUGEbump · 26/02/2007 18:38

no, lots of toyah and bad manners!
was amazing, i do have some pics but stephen has gone home with the memory card so i can't transfer them to the machine

Katy44 · 26/02/2007 18:39

It cannot be name changing time already - do you work on different weeks to us??
Oh that reminds me, I need to get DH to take a photo of me and bump when he gets back - 32 weeks today and our wedding anniversary.

Tili -I meant to say I'm glad you could pop in. Are you going to be around more regularly now, or are things still difficult?

OMGhaveswallowedanoctopus · 26/02/2007 18:42

Its me 7 weeks - got bored with the counting thing!

runnyhabbit · 26/02/2007 18:42

forgot to ask - is anyone else having rather "vivid" dreams had one the other night and woke up feeling very hot and bothered

OMGhaveswallowedanoctopus · 26/02/2007 18:50

Yes - some very interesting dreams

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 26/02/2007 18:51

Hi all, Char, really hope you are ok sweetheart - let us know how you get on.

Nutty, sorry to hear about your hubcaps. What a bloody pita. I am so possessive about my car at the moment, it's quite pathetic.

Clarice and mammyjo, glad your appointments/scans went well.

GMM, you look very well in the piccie - well relaxed!

Hellcat, hope you get the "result" you want. I have to say pmsl at your dh worrying about the size of his manhood hurting the baby!

Not much to report here. Rib pain awful again tonight. Seems to be worse when I sit down, but then if I stand too long, feel like I have been kicked in the arse, esp where old episiotomy scar is .

God, can't think of what else was said now - sorry lovely ladies - head still like mush due to ruddy cold!

Back later.

OMGhaveswallowedanoctopus · 26/02/2007 18:52

SOSPL - I think would have to bend over and examine fanjo in mirror to see old episiotomy scar - do you think it will survive labour or are you more likely to tear? May set up new thread!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 26/02/2007 18:53

OMG, doesn't bear thinking about! That was the most painful part of recovery for me.

maveta · 26/02/2007 18:56

SOSPL - are you using an exercise ball? I´ve been fine all day (at work I tend to sit straight or slightly forward in my chair so not leaning back and putting pressure on my back) but as soon as I came home and tried to sit on the sofa my ribs started hurting. This is what always happens. I spend most evenings now either sitting straight up on my exercise ball or kneeling on a cushion over it. It really helps. Also if it´s really bad maybe try a hot water bottle on your back while leaning over the ball? Just don´t fill it too much or it will feel heavy and make you feel worse!

I have so much sympathy for you, hope some of the above work!

maveta · 26/02/2007 18:56

So AKA 7 weeks.. is the abbreviation of your name OMGHSAO??

maveta · 26/02/2007 18:59

Clarification: the cushion is on the floor, your knees are on the cushion and you leeeean over the ball. When I re-read my post I had an image of you trying to kneel on the cushion on top of the ball.

I would NOT recommend this, I feel it may exacerbate the back problem.

Katy44 · 26/02/2007 19:03

or just octopussy?

EllieKwithaHUGEbump · 26/02/2007 19:08

now katy, i think pussy is far too offensive a word for this thread

my email filter at work actually blocks them if they have 'pussy' in them, my boss got in trouble when a friend emailed her about her cat!

Katy44 · 26/02/2007 19:10

Ooh yes you're right. I'll never remember her shortened name now - will have to call her Xweeks!

EllieKwithaHUGEbump · 26/02/2007 19:17

i think we should just stick with farty

EllieKwithaHUGEbump · 26/02/2007 19:35

where are you all?
hope you're not off causing more trouble Katy
