It's so lovely to hear of everyone's positive scan results- lots of happy babies!

So sorry to hear of anyone going through a tough time though- Lixon it sounds as though you are dealing with it so well, I would be a total wreck in your situation. Everything crossed for good news for you, and anyone else in similar situations.

We had the screening tests done as I felt I'd rather be pre-warned, though it wouldn't have made me want to terminate, unless the baby had serious health issues, and even then I would have struggled with making that decision. Luckily our tests results have come back low risk.

I'm feeling so much better this week- now 13+1 and sickness seems to have finally gone. So excited to eat nice foods again, I was starting to feel so unhealthy eating beige food all the time.

Brainfried I know what you mean about singing (though I only sing in the car!)- I get really out of breath lately so I find it much harder to sing properly. I hope the concert goes well.

OMClaire · 08/02/2017 12:32

Hello all! I've been absent from MN for some time but today is the day of my 12 week scan! I think I'm due around 23 August with our second so will get a proper date later! Excited!

MrsG280516 · 08/02/2017 14:50

Well I had my scan today, I should have been 13+4 but it looks like we're growing a big baby as they measured 14+3 and too big for NT screening. So I've got to go back at 16 weeks for the quadruple blood test instead. Nice chunky baby on the screen though Grin new due date of 6th August!

No idea how they could possibly be due on that date as I would have barely been finished my period when they were conceived...

Hullo ladies and burgeoning bumps and to the newer ones too! This appears to have been an emotional rollercoaster for quite a number of people this time round! Ive got to 16 weeks tomorrow and have my next midwife appt so looking forward to hearing the hearbeat on a doppler as im still hanging in there!. Ive now been bleeding for 16 weeks and have had 3 haemmorages so not fun and games. The bump/bloat is quite painful at the moment probably stretching but very very unpleasant and ive been quite ill due to having fibromyalgia. Anyway hopefully good news tomorrow and then from 24 w i get q scan every 2 weeks so it will keep my mind at rest. Not actually much longer in the scheme of things till july/august!

OkyDoke · 08/02/2017 20:00

Well done on the baby growing MrsG!

Hope your appointment goes well tomorrow pancakes. Youve had a lot on your plate!

Kirstyinnorway · 08/02/2017 20:05

Aw huge congrats on your chunky baba MrsG! I'm still mind-blown that we started trying around the same time and here we both are already!

Sorry it's not been smooth sailing for you pancakes, I hope things get a bit easier as your pregnancy go on. FX for your scan tomorrow!

After -repeatedly- moaning that I don't get a standard scan here until 18 weeks, we then went private on a trip back to the UK at around 10 weeks... and then my Mum and Dad have offered to pay for another this week (12 weeks)! Brilliant Grin The money wasn't even really a problem for us, we just decided we'd rather spend the money on something for the nursery!

So I'm booked in on Friday, it's totally indulgent and greedy but since it doesn't harm baby, we are just so excited to see him/her moving around and get that final confirmation that all is OK before we announce to the world next week!

Today is a good day, I can't wait for Friday Smile

Sparklyuggs · 08/02/2017 21:32

kirsty that's lovely, I can't imagine having to wait until 17 weeks for a scan!

Stinkbaby · 09/02/2017 08:37

woah pancakes! My fella has a form of fibromyalgia, he has cfs/me. So for you to not only be dealing with that, being pregnant AND having a shitty time of it is outstanding! I take my hat off to you! I hope everything smooths out for you soon because it sounds like you deserve it!

Congrats on the big bubba mrsG x

Thundermouse · 09/02/2017 19:57

I've found it really helpful to read this thread as I've struggled through the first trimester. Thank you all for keeping me in virtual good company :) My little one is due 24th August. How do I join the Facebook group please? That would be fab.

Nicnic1986 · 09/02/2017 20:35

Hi, can I join the group ladies? I'm pregnant with my first. All my friend have grown up children so want baby chat without boring my friends. My due date is the 12th Aug! I'm showing already as carrying a lot.of fluid. X

Heatherbaby · 09/02/2017 20:59

mrsg I hope you don't mind me saying this but when I saw your scan I immediately thought you're having a boy! I have got these sudden senses from friends scans before and they've always proven right...Smile just mentioning it and will sit tight to see if I'm right in August xx

Welcome nic and hope everyone is well and bumps are developing nicely!

I don't have a bump yet but I do want to say I am totally envious of the posters who have said their sickness is subsiding. I'm 14 weeks and still feeling it... feeling like this will never end and I haven't been able to enjoy pregnancy at all yet! Feel like a brat and also like I'm failing at this already!

Oh and no bump bump but bloated belly means clothes fit so horribly right now... currently wearing jeans with a hair bobble looped in! Sorry for the moan xx

Sparklyuggs · 09/02/2017 21:02

If you PM me your email address I can add on Facebook.

16w tomorrow and definitely got a bump forming, but was also sick on my flight this morning :( at least the sickness is very occasional now rather than all day everyday!

Nicnic1986 · 09/02/2017 21:11

Heatherbaby, think we all feel like that at some point. I was literally sick every single hour but thankfully just morning now which I can cope with. I hope it subsides a bit for you! And if you can't be a bit bratty when pregnant when can you be haha! I wish I could use a bobble Grin lots of friends just thought I'd put extra weight on as I'm wearing very baggy clothes! Can I also join the fb page.. sparklyuggs? Thank you xx

MrsG280516 · 10/02/2017 09:37

heatherbaby funny you should say that, my cousin and my mum both think boy too. We are finding out in two weeks time so you'll get to know if you're right!

PancakesAndMapleSyrup · 10/02/2017 10:01

Thanks for your nice comments all. Midwife was great yesterday and managed to find the heartbeat on the doppler which she wasnt sure if she would and was worried i would panic! Did give me releif though to hear it but i know you cant always! I get the feeling its another girl but you never know! It seems so long inbetween midwife appointments at the beginning even up to the end of the second tri. Next appt for me is 24 weeks with midwife so they can get lots of forms etc filled out. V nervous about 20 week scan as we have had noting but probs with those before! MrsG hope it will all be fine and just a large baby Grin although not too big at the end stages...ouch.
Stinkbaby yup i have severe fibro so i spend my days doing bugger all very boring but less pain i suppose?! Hydrotherapy keeps me going as i cant do much land based physio. Were going to have to get help in for this baby and the others due to the looong summer school holidays. Still on Morphine patches and codeine but only as i can still take them. Have to be off the morphine by 33 weeks and forgot to put a patch on for just under 48 hours the other day MY GOD it was agony i was in tears and the kids bless them utterly panicked and phone DH to come home from work. Hopefully ill be induced early....fingers crossed.

firsttimer12345 · 10/02/2017 15:15

Been suffering with a lot of back pain this week and have been told to go swimming. Have ordered a new costume from Asda but super worried about my absolutely massive boobs Blush any one got any tips for the back pain and the boobs?

Kirstyinnorway · 10/02/2017 16:17

Had our scan today - baby is still defying my calculations and is measuring at 12+4 (I calculated 11+5 but will forget that now as two scans have me further forward).

Baby was kicking and stretching although had one hand over his/her face the whole time! HR was good and high, fingers were opening and closing! Heard the heartbeat too which was magical and made me teary Blush

So anyhow, I have a new DD jaffa - the 21st August!

What do you reckon heatherbaby - is it a blue or pink one?! Grin Moan away by the way, you need to. It's rubbish feeling sick and I've not had it as bad as the majority of you.

You really are facing some extra hurdles pancakes but have a lovely positive mental attitude.

Can't help you firsttimer but can definitely empathise with the porn star boobs, mine now enter the room before me and I'm convinced that's where my weight gain is going!

Heatherbaby · 10/02/2017 18:42

How exciting mrsG can't wait to hear which it is Smile

I say this like I'm an Oracle kirsty but I can't seem to guess my own! The head shape on my scan wasn't as clean as both yours and MrsGs. Both yours are just beauties Smile I'd be totally guessing of course but I'd guess another blue with yours Kirsty I feel like you can sometimes tell by the shape of the baby but of course when they're born babies are just babies aren't they and unless they are wearing pink or blue you can barely guess at that stage!

Spink · 10/02/2017 18:45

Your scan sounds wonderful Kirsty & a lovely pic!

I've always been flat chested so am kind of enjoying the slight boobiness, but my axillary breast tissue (since my first pg I have some, weirdly, under my armpits) is swollen too & pretty sore. Turns out pregnancy boobs can be hard work.

I was hoping to get a phone call about my Nipt blood result today- midwife said today (by 7) or Monday but with only 15 mins left today I'm not expecting to hear. Been crabby all afternoon. Ah well, only a few more days..

Stinkbaby · 10/02/2017 19:40

Scan went really well Grin here's my lil stinkbaby

Lapin387 · 10/02/2017 20:04

Great picture stinkbaby!! You might like to report your photo though and crop out your full name from the top Smile

whoateallthejaffacakes · 10/02/2017 20:14

will repost list in a few days with new ammendments.

HG has lifted significantly, hoping it continues, just get the odd bout of nausea but nowhere near as bad as it before. currently suffering really badly with pubic area pains & what feels like severe period pains. dont know whether to see dr or mw. 3rd tri with my first i was waddling like a penguin but this time it seems to be happening already, cant walk very fast & shuffling round Sad

OkyDoke · 10/02/2017 22:06

Congrats on the lovely scans ladies! Not long til mine now!

PancakesAndMapleSyrup · 11/02/2017 10:13

Lovley photos! Kirsty i think its a boy and stink a girl. What a random guess! But yes stink report that and get your name taken off Grin
Jaffa have you ever suffered from SPD? Sounds a bit like that i think? Deffo go and see someone!

MustBeThursday · 11/02/2017 11:12

Jaffa I second Pancakes thoughts - could well be the start of SPD. Do you find the pain worsens if you lift one leg or if you have your legs apart? Depending on where you live you may be able to get physio exercises - its worth getting referred early if you can.

Still got this blooming cold all in my sinuses! DH starting to make noises about seeing GP about it. And nausea still hanging about. Anyone been having a lot of headaches? feels like I've had one for about 6 weeks.

Lots of lovely scans! Attaching my scan photo, anyone hazard a guess as to boy/girl?
