Lovely pic Notyet :)

AMillion, you're not alone, I've found I can't handle proper meals so I just graze all day, just little bites of food. It's getting annoying logging it all in MFP!

Notyetthere · 15/12/2016 13:38

Mummy Lovely pic. Glad all is going as well as it should be. It is always nice to see other scan pics and at times that I haven't seen before. It shows me where my baby has been to the current arms and limbs everywhere.

Chunder oooh vimto, you tease! I am now thinking vimto might be a drink I enjoy. At the moment I can only stomach water. I had a hot chocolate at the hospital Costa coffee while waiting for scan and that was too sweet, back to water now.

Spendelina Glad all went well with your scan.

Tinkling the sonographer at the private scan checked the heart and switched on the doppler for a second or two so we heard it. But then we measured 11+4 so a little further along than you are. You should however get to see it on the screen. We did at 6 wks last time.

As for bump showing, I have always had a bit of a belly so it is difficult to tell whether it is my usual belly or the baby. Baby is measuring 5.6cm so maybe not baby.

Seahawk hope scan goes well.

Hello all!
Off work today, I have a cold and was feeling faint and breathless all day.
Next scan at 10+6, can't wait!!

LuciBee231015 · 15/12/2016 13:54

Lovey scan pics! Can't wait for mine now!!

I'm coming down with my second cold since being pregnant now... Great!

DaisyQueen · 15/12/2016 14:26

This is my bump. Haven't had a dating scan yet but am approximately 11+4. Can't wait for my scan to get a more accurate reading. Sickness/nausea has eased to just the evenings but everything is giving me heartburn now

Hulaballoo · 15/12/2016 14:58

Oh bugger, had some cheesecake today in the staff room that someone made and brought in... I don't think it was a cooked kind...argh completely forgot that possibly may have raw eggs, not sure.... Do you reckon it's ok?

DaisyQueen · 15/12/2016 15:04

It should be fine I think the only risk is salmonella and I think that's a very low risk in eggs these days Smile

Notyetthere · 15/12/2016 15:09

Daisy neat bump! I will then assume that under the layers existing bump is baby also popping out

I've felt sicker this afternoon than I have done for weeks. Apparently losing your grip and convincing yourself that it's all going wrong is good for nausea. Grip now retrieved, nausea back. Ho hum.

Hula there was stuff published over the summer that said that lion marked eggs (i.e. virtually all those produced in the UK) are safe even raw. That hasn't made it through however many committees to the official NHS advice yet, but I am happily eating raw and runny eggs.

rhodes2015 · 15/12/2016 15:37

Not - great scan pic!! Really clear.

Daisy, arh you have a cute bump! I'm getting heartburn after my evening meal! I've been taking them gaviscon tablets in the little pink pot. Very handy to carry around and they work quickly.

I'm doing a chicken dinner for tea tonight, seemed like a good idea last night but now not so much Confused

Notyetthere · 15/12/2016 15:54

Rhodes thank you. I found that the NHS scan pics are always clearer than the private scan ones that I have had.

Going by the nub and skull theory, I think it is a girl but then I have been rubbish at this game so far. I have guessed it all wrong for the others on mumsnet!Grin But I am going to have a lot of fun trying to guess in the next few weeks.

Lovely scan pic No and very neat little bump Daisy

I'm in a bit of a panic as I had a rather large bleed - am waiting for the GP to call me back, as the other option was going to wait at A&E for a few hours, so I opted for the local surgery first. Hoping and hoping it's just normal bleeding but it seemed like an awful lot.
If you could keep your fingers crossed for me I'd really appreciate it!

Seahawk80 · 15/12/2016 16:03

Sorry rum I really hope it's ok.

Not the best news for me, came back as 1/13 for risk of downs so just deciding what to do. Whether to wait for the harmony results or just go for CVS, Christmas is slowing everything down so looks like we're in for a long wait

whyistherumgone · 15/12/2016 16:18

oh seahawk that's so tough. Harmony is supposed to be a lot more accurate isn't it? Is it likely you'll get a different result from H test? Forgive my ignorance I haven't looked into it closely.

Will keep you in my thoughts.

bluebird1235 · 15/12/2016 16:23

Hula - my midwife made a point of saying that runny eggs are absolutely fine so I'm sure we can extend that to raw ones in yummy cheesecake! I also remember reading that uk eggs were actually really good now with regards to risk of salmonella.

Rum - that sounds horrid, I hope you're ok. Did you have any pain? Has it stopped/slowed now? Fingers crossed for you.

bluebird1235 · 15/12/2016 16:24

I'm sorry Seahawk. Was that the NHS test? I heard there was a good chance of a false positive so my fingers crossed for you too.

whyistherumgone · 15/12/2016 16:24

Thanks bluebird it has stopped and is just spotting now so I'm trying to stay calm. Doctor has called me in for an assessment at 5.30pm and is going to try and get me an early scan at the EPU tomorrow.

Seahawk I didn't ask how long the wait for the Harmony results will be?

bluebird1235 · 15/12/2016 16:29

Well here's a positive story for you rum, this happened to me a couple of weeks ago while we were on the motorway driving to a friends wedding. Couldn't stop for ages and I could just feel it trickling out of me. It stopped after a very awkward trip to the service station loos (whilst trying to hide the massive blood stain on the back of my trousers!). There was quite a lot of blood and some weird lumpy stuff that I couldn't quite describe but all bright red. Anyway - much worry later, they're still in there, but I think I'm starting to go grey with all the worry!

Fingers crossed!

Notyetthere · 15/12/2016 16:39

Rum Fingers crossed baby is ok and that it is an isolated bleed. At least you haven't mentioned cramps. One or the other should not be a worry.

Sea I think you should wait for the harmony results. Several people on here have reported them to be more accurate.

OP posts:
Seahawk80 · 15/12/2016 16:45

Thanks - harmony results will be next week but then if it's high risk it will be another 10
Days or so waiting for cvs results. If it was 1/250 or something I'd just wait but I think 1/13 is so worrying I'll probably have the cvs to know for sure. Not what I was expecting to happen today. Hope everyone else has had a better time.

DaisyQueen · 15/12/2016 17:17

Aww Rum I've got my fingers crossed for you. When I was pregnant with dd2 I bled on and off throughout so I'm now how scary it is Flowers

DaisyQueen · 15/12/2016 17:18

*I know

Kitsandkids · 15/12/2016 17:29

When I was at the EPU for a scan after bleeding I asked when I should contact them again if I kept bleeding and she said 'oh not til you've had bleeding for 2 weeks.' So some people must bleed a lot and still have things be ok.

Holz657 · 15/12/2016 17:40

Due 27th July. Is anyone else suffering from blurry vision and dizzy spells? :( it's horrible!!

Hulaballoo · 15/12/2016 18:04

Thanks for the egg advice everyone 😀that's reassuring rum sorry about your bleed, I know how worrying it is. I had a heavy bleed, bright red for 2 days at around 7 weeks with my last pregnancy, with cramps butb luckily it was a hematoma or something like that and isolated, but the worry stays 😐 even into this pregnancy, just have to remind myself v that my little one is now 6.... And it was ok. I hope yours is also ok and know there are successful endings but it's so neverb wreaking. Big hugs xx
