We maxed out our last thread before starting a new one.
I'm not savvy like kitkat so can't post our list either! Hopefully there will be some ba's before this thread is completed.

Congratulations Apple, awesome news!

Lovewatchingrainfall · 17/11/2016 22:18

Wow congratulations apple that is a very good weight. How are you doing?

Nojo82 · 17/11/2016 22:20

Wow apple congratulations. Gosh i go out for a few hours and we have another baby.. great weight too.

So i went to ikea, gona suffer from it tomorrow. I was supposed to b going christmas shopping on Tuesday but ive just told DH that the rest is getting done online. So not worth the pain im in now. On a plus note i got the wardrobe for baby clothed..

barkingtreefrog · 18/11/2016 06:12

Oh my goodness apple that must have been a shock! Glad he's doing so well Smile.

Stripey was it you asking about the fb group? If you pm me your Facebook name and the email address you use for it and a description of your profile pic I'll try and find you and add you! Grin.

I am definitely not blooming in pregnancy either! Spd pain and the insomnia (which I've had from day 1 before even knowing I was pregnant due to the side effects of the steroids I was on for first 16 weeks) have been the worst of it, as well as the piles which I'm not convinced are ever going away?! and the nausea. 12 days to go.....

Nojo my trip to IKEA almost killed me slightly overdramatic I was in so much pain by the time I got home I pretty much spent the whole evening crying Blush

I'm 37 weeks today! Next milestone is the c section!!

duxb · 18/11/2016 07:41

Huge congratulations apple! X

Babydreaming · 18/11/2016 09:16

Sorry I haven't posted for ages, been a worrying and busy few weeks ! It looks like my babies growth is slowing down and they aren't sure why. It could be a problem with my placenta or with the baby. I opted to have an amniocentesis last week as was 36+2 and the main risk was preterm labour which wouldn't have been a huge issue at that gestation! Still waiting full results to see if there are any chromosomal issues. They are suspicious as his growth has slowed, one of his kidneys isn't working properly and now his heart looks slightly enlarged :( Fingers crossed it's nothing but it's been upsetting! He was estimated to be 5lb4oz at 36+2, so hopefully he's grown a little more since then before he arrives!

I have an appointment on tues to discuss when they want to deliver him, I'll be 38 weeks then so quite excited to meet him soon!

Massive congratulations apple and that is a huge weight for 34 weeks, sounds like he'll be just fine xxx

DartmoorDoughnut · 18/11/2016 10:04

How's everyone doing with names? DH suggested one that I didn't not like but now we've told people I've really gone off it Grin I love another name but he says it's a dogs name, rude! Tempted to just ignore the whole issue until the bambino is here and then push the whole I have JUST given birth angle!

SouthDownsSunshine · 18/11/2016 10:17

babydreaming sorry to hear that you're having this scare. My baby is high risk for T21 (downs) and has a heart problem, so I understand the rollercoaster that comes with all this. I'd be happy to talk more via PM. xx

billabye · 18/11/2016 10:58

apple congratulations!

babydreaming that sounds really tough. When will you get the full results?

Theaks · 18/11/2016 11:22

Another baby. Congratulations apple.
I want my baby to come now 38.4 weeks fie me now!!!

SolomanDaisy · 18/11/2016 11:38

Ah that sounds so stressful babydreaming. I hope the results come through soon. Don't worry about the weight, DD is about that now and she feels small but not terrifyingly small!

Bigfam · 18/11/2016 13:15

Oh babydreaming how worrying for you, I really hope you arent kept waiting and that they're the results you hope for.
We've already chosen her name. She's called Romany, but we'll be using Romy for short Smile

Christmasbaby16 · 18/11/2016 15:55

Ok, so I've never experienced a regular pattern of movement with our baby due to position. Baby has now moved into position, and movements have been much easier to feel which has been great. Today, I've been having more tighenings than movements.....would you ring the ward?

Bigfam · 18/11/2016 16:27

Are they regular/following a pattern Christmasbaby16? I'd let them know but they may tell you to wait it out, to see if they become painful.

OP posts:
KitKat1985 · 18/11/2016 16:31

Christmas I'd say unless the tightenings are painful and in a regular-ish pattern then I'd say it's probably Braxton Hicks rather than contractions. Obviously you can always phone the ward if you are not sure though.

Mini Kit-Kat just got weighed and she's up to 5'12, so not quite up to her birth weight but getting there slowly. Midwife also a bit concerned that the bruising around her eyes hasn't gone done yet (birth injury) so wants to keep us on her books for at least another week and won't discharge us yet (normally they discharge here at 10 days post-natal). Midwife tried again to get her to latch properly but she's still not doing it so we're still stuck using nipple shields right now.

SouthDownsSunshine · 18/11/2016 16:54

Christmas my movements feel odd now, more like pushing out than kicks. Is this what you mean? If you're at all worried give the midwives a call.

kitkat that's good about her weight gain. What are they worried about with the bruising? Is it worth asking a neonatal doctor to review her? Dd didn't latch without shields for several months, but we got there in the end.

Feeling wiped out today. Not sure if it's the weather or my size! Currently having a lie down in bed, despite doing very little this morning

happydays00 · 18/11/2016 17:14

christmas I've been having a crazy amount of braxton hicks - which basically feel like my bump really tightening. This sometimes causes the baby to move - again these are pushes and rolls rather than flutters or anything.

But.. as others have said, if you're at all worried give the midwives a call

excitedmummytob · 18/11/2016 17:15

Checking in x

kittyscot81 · 18/11/2016 17:17

Southdowns I'm literally reading this thread to see if anyone else is feeling like that too. I'm 36 +5 started mat leave but I feel too wiped out to do much at all. Had spd so going out is an ordeal but just doing bits round the house is leaving me exhausted!

Londonmamabychance · 18/11/2016 17:18

babydreaming how worrying for you, fingers crossed you will get results soon and they will be reassuring, and whichever way, that you and baby will be fine.
Must be so difficult Flowers

We have three names out of which one is very popular at the moment so that in a way puts me off it a bit, one is very Scandinavian and British people find it a bit odd, I think, but then we're planning to move to my home country anyway, and one is so Scandinavian but more universally understood, but that one is extremely popular in my home country, which annoys me slightly. Is prefer a name which was timeless, had Scandinavian and Russian/and or Arabic roots (my DH's background) and a bit but not too popular in either UK or my home country. Seems to be impossible to find one! My DD is called Nora, which is one of the old bass that has not yet had a renaissance her run the UK and some see it as an old ladies name, but I love it and it meets all the above criteria. Although it is quite popular in my home country, so different than here, it's number 38 in the top 100! So maybe I'll just end up ignoring the popularity issue again.

Londonmamabychance · 18/11/2016 17:19

*names not bass! Arg, I'm
So bad at not checking my post before posting Blush

Bigfam · 18/11/2016 17:21

Hope the latching resolves soon kitkat glad to hear she's putting on weight.
I feel so bruised down below, sometimes even when I move my legs the slightest amount it feels like I'm being ripped apart, it's horrible!

OP posts:
Babydreaming · 18/11/2016 17:33

Thank you everyone for your support, hopefully will get full results on Monday. I already have the rapid results which show it isn't any of the commoner abnormalities e.g downs/Edwards/Pataus but awaiting full more detailed analysis for anything else! Think it's going to feel a bit of a long weekend awaiting results. I'm equally paranoid that my placenta isn't working properly and at risk of stillbirth. Will be a relief when baby arrives!

Thisisbonkers · 18/11/2016 17:45

Congratulations apple!

That all seems very worrying babydreaming 🙁

Maternity leave has started 😃 I'm free! I had my 38 week appointment this morning and baby isn't as engaged as we'd hoped. Midwife did manage to piss it off with all her poking and wiggling so I bore the brunt of that this morning! 😄 But if it's. it engaged I'm guessing I've no hope of an early arrival!
