We maxed out our last thread before starting a new one.
I'm not savvy like kitkat so can't post our list either! Hopefully there will be some ba's before this thread is completed.

Congrats theaks, DD only had her forceps marks for a short couple of days.

StubbleTurnips · 03/12/2016 09:52

Congrats bigfam too! 8cm at arrival - you brave lady!

stripeyorangesocks71 · 03/12/2016 09:54

Congratulations and well done Bigfam! She's lovely Grin

Hope my baby takes the hint and arrives soon. Although due date isn't for a couple of weeks yet...!

Bigfam · 03/12/2016 09:59

It wasn't actually too bad. It started about 2am and they weren't that painful considering in around three hours I'd reached 8cm (I'm sure it's because this is baby no5 though and I was probably already gaping down there 😂)
Thanks everyone.

Bigfam, wow congratulations!! Last I saw you were on the way to hospital, I went back to sleep again for a bit and you've given birth!! She's lovely, a good weight too, well done!!

goinggrey1978 · 03/12/2016 11:12

Theaks congratulations, she's a cutie with a lovely name too!!

SouthDownsSunshine · 03/12/2016 11:15

Wow congrats bigfam! That was lovely and quick!

I've got a very sleepy baby. Barely waking to feed. She had put on 50g in 24 hours though which is great :)

Nojo82 · 03/12/2016 11:32

Congratulations bigfam!

Bumbleclat · 03/12/2016 12:30

How exciting congratulations on all the newborns- makes it all feel so real!

I've finally finished work now at 37+3 I was so ready for it but have spent the morning shopping, cleaning, cooking and tidying ready for bro, sis in law to arrive for the weekend with their two very hyper children, I really didn't think that through. :(

Have spent all morning on the brink of angry tears and just wanting to go into town and have a massage, mani/pedi instead I'm feeling rotten not to mention our bedroom has all the clothes horses full of laundry and crap from the spare room bundled into it, so there's no sanctuary away from the madness.

I feel rude if I'm not being hospitable but find it hard to act happy when I just feel overwhelmed and tired.
I'm just having a nice bubble bath now and will blow dry and straighten my hair. I'm hoping that some self-care will sort me out.

Sorry to be negative when there are so many beautiful babies arriving I almost just feel resentful that au can't spend the weekend chatting to my bump and actually acknowledging the fact I'm even pregnant.

KitKat1985 · 03/12/2016 13:15

Oh dear Bumbleclat. Can you book yourself a massage or something else nice to do on Monday after they've gone home? x

goinggrey1978 · 03/12/2016 13:41

Bumbleclat, your not the only one i had a terrible day yesterday was so exhausted, i burst into tears when i received 'merry Christmas from the bump' card from my parents, i'll be 38 weeks on Tuesday and have another sweep on Monday, i'm so uncomfortable now, sleep is really not happening at all, just wanted you to know that your not the only one!!

duxb · 03/12/2016 15:21

Congratulations bigfam - how quick was that?

I'm a week late today - this last week has consisted of two attempts at a sweep, two lots of blood pressure monitoring (my Mam had pre-eclampsia and despite there being nothing worrying in any of my results, they are being very cautious).

Back Monday morning at 9am for another blood pressure screen and apparently they will give me an induction date.

Sleep is beyond me as is comfort. I'm so bored and all the little things I'd want to do, make me too uncomfortable or I don't want to risk (i.e; going to the cinema on my own). I'm just very ready to meet her and be rushed off my feet now.

All the best to the rest of you struggling / with impending labours.

Bumbleclat · 03/12/2016 15:46

kitkat thanks yes I've got a lovely day planned in Monday of massage, buying winter boots and manicure if I can just get through this weekend.
Actually I've felt okay since they've arrived I just hate putting myself so far on the back burner because there's a baby inside me.

Thanks goinggrey it's miserable isn't it... I think maybe because we can almost see the finish line, we suddenly realise what a massive slog it's all been.

I keep telling myself it will be worth it when Im holding her Smile

Bigfam · 03/12/2016 17:32

Sounds tough bumble and goinggrey hope you're both OK

5 hours start to finish, longer than numbers 3 & 4 duxb good luck for Monday, hopefully you'll get an induction date that's sooner rather than later.

Wow, congrats Theaks, Bigfam and the other new arrivals!

Bumble, I hope the visit goes OK (and passes quickly!)

duxb, I hope something happens soon. It's good that they're keeping a close eye on you.

It's my due date today but no sign of anything happening. Sick of family contacting to ask if there is any news, as if I would have had the baby but neglected to tell them! Those of you who have had your babies, were there any signs before you went into labour?

Londonmamabychance · 03/12/2016 18:47

Big congrats bigfam and Theaks! Sounds like a drama free and nice labour, Bigfam! How nice.

Bubmle having guests when in the last stage of pregnancy is exhausting. Hope you get to treat yourself to something nice after they've left! And get some rest. And same for you greggy.

Dubx hope your baby arrives soon!

I'm so exhausted after DH kept me awake this night suffering with early hangover pain after his Friday pints and kept tossing and turning and snoring! Was quite irritated with him this morning, my own insomnia is bad enough. But then took DD to see Santa at a local museum and she was so cute that the day turned out lovely anyway. Had to take a taxi there though as I can hardly walk on my left foot, don't know what's caused the pain other than probably all the extra weight.

Londonmamabychance · 03/12/2016 18:49

Zazie with my first baby the signs of impending labour was increasing period like pain.

Bigfam · 03/12/2016 18:56

zazie7 my main sign when it really started was a pain in the centre of my back, felt like period pains, thought it was the usual but then it travelled round the front to my uterus and I just knew. If I'm being 100% honest, the contractions weren't actually that bad, when it came time to push I literally just couldn't do it, baby's heart rate dropped and midwife was worried, so I got my are in gear and pushed Grin

Bless your dd london & a tutut to Mr London!
