Evening all! Just catching up, hope we're all ok?

Congrats Sweetpea that's lovely news Halloween Smile

I've had another day of feeling fecking horrendous. And do know what's annoying me..? Reading/hearing the word 'only' in reference to how long nausea lasts during early pregnancy.... 'only' 12 weeks... ONLY?!

Seriously, I'd be happy with twins at this point. Ideally I'd like 2 DC, but at this rate I'll be adopting the second Halloween Wink

I've 'only' got another 4 weeks of feeling utterly miserable for most of the day... if I'm lucky, roll on December! Halloween Grin

Tonight's dinner is sponsored by Wheetos. Halloween Blush

Glad it went well sweatpea! I told my parents today and they're very excited but under strict orders not to let slip to my brother. It's nice to be able to have a chat with my mum and know i can now ask her for advice.

Thats great sweetpea and catladyi'm sure you feel much happier now Smile i've told everyone, i can't hold my own water!

skee i know what you mean...if those who say 'only' knew that a week in pregnancy time feels like a month!

haveacupoftea · 30/10/2016 19:14

Oh God i just had a look in the mirror to inspect all my new spots, and there a moustache is staring back at me Blush a thick, black one!

I am convinced I am having a girl, i just have a really strong feeling. Happy to be proven wrong though too! Smile

Dragon5000 · 30/10/2016 19:46

Wow lots to catch up on and immediately forget!
Crazy busy day today with ds that's totally exhausted me, dh had to come home after party no. 1 for a ' few hours chill out ' don't worry about your pregnant wife love she'll March on!

Feeling a bit nauseous again but it seems I get hungry and have to eat immediately or I feel sick, ate a lot of beige party food today too! Totally off sweet food which is very odd for me.

I've been so tempted to tell everyone at work, some people know and it's getting hard as keep having to lie about my appointments to my colleagues but never mind only 2 more appts til I tell them.

My phone hates mn the only way I can post is by texting myself a message and copy and pasting!

Cup of tea with my dd I was sooooo sure that she was a girl that I had a bag full of pink packed for the hospital! The midwifes were laughing saying that if a boy comes out he will be wearing pink! After she was born they were convinced i found out on the quiet! I had 100% no idea just gut feeling

beanbag19 · 30/10/2016 20:29

I have just sent DH out for some tomato soup as it's the only thing that sounds even remotely tempting to eat. Today was the worst day for sickness so far. It felt like the kind of sickness you have when you're really drunk. It has faded but it's still there, lingering in the background.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Maxcat12 · 30/10/2016 20:29

Hey all
I am due 3rd June so a little over 9 weeks.
First baby....all pregnancy symptomd kicked in around 3 weeks ago....morning sickness should definitely be called all day sickness.
Anyone else panicking over every tiny thing? I am a nervous wreck!!

Skee · 30/10/2016 20:39

Oh Dragon, you're 'marching on' comment made me laugh 😂

Too right tea! June feels like a lifetime away!

Here I was thinking I would be running my way through pregnancy, keeping fit and eating healthily... thought I might enter a wee 10km trail run in November to keep me focused... Megalolz.

Not a flipping chance. Currently struggling to get my bloated body up the stairs with out getting the boak. 😂

Got all my hopes pinned on stage 2 - looking forward to glowing skin, shiny hair and an appetite for a wider variety of food groups Halloween Grin

Poppydm · 30/10/2016 21:11

Hi everyone, just catching up! Glad everything went well Sweetpea.
I think I'm having a girl too Tea. Don't know why - just a feeling. Will be interesting to see if we're right. Are you planning on finding out? I think we are. I'm totally with you all on the vile sickness train. This week has been my worst for feeling nauseous. Constantly feel sickly and bloated. I've totally lost my appetite too and the thought of most things just makes me feel queasy. Loving cold fresh fruit juice though. Beanbag tomato soup is a good call! Skee your comments always make me laugh. I'm pinning my hopes on stage 2 as well as I currently look and feel like I've aged massively. Never needed to pee so much in my life!

Mooseville · 31/10/2016 06:17

Morning everyone. Fingers crossed all those being sick should feel it ease off in the next few weeks according to Ovia today anyway!!
I still just feel generally hungover, tired and yucky but not been sick thankfully.
Dr's appt today and then I'm considering telling my manager at work. I really don't want to till after the scan but I've a four week course coming up that's quite physical and I've decided I don't think I can manage it and I want to delay it until after the baby. Not sure how it's going to go down but even the thought of doing it makes me feel exhausted! Hopefully they'll be supportive?

Mooseville · 31/10/2016 06:18

Oops 9 weeks today! Keep forgetting!

I also have no idea what I'm having - swing from one sex to the other!

mrspage1985 · 31/10/2016 06:36

Hi all just catching up after a weekend away on a hen do - I'm bridesmaid so I actually organised it! Have to say I'm shattered - it was a lot of work organising some quite disorganised people Blush and having to dodge the why are u not drinking questions!!
Had a great time but have to say I'm pretty glad I don't have any more major committed social things on now!! I won't be booking / accepting invites to anything that I can't drop out of if I don't feel like it!!

Lots of love and luck to those who are struggling with bad news or currently undergoing the agonising wait xx

I have had my scan date come through - 2 weeks on Wednesday, hoping I can hold off till then and not book another private scan but part of me is so tempted to book one for this week just to check baby is still ok after hen do. I have already paid for 2 scans though so I think I am developing an addiction!!

Mommytobe2017 · 31/10/2016 07:03

Morning all Smile

Back to work for me today. Feel like I'm going to cry...

Is it normal to not be bothered about anything else this early on? I just really don't care about work lol. Could stay in bed!

Kitsandkids · 31/10/2016 07:05

Morning. I've woken up really hungry today and my boon soreness seems to have reached a new level.

My earliest 'symptom' was an overwhelming desire to eat healthily - lots of veg and homemade meals, and I have been very good on that front. But, no sickness has hit me yet. If and when it does I imagine I'll be eating whatever I can stomach!

I'm 5+3 today.

Kitsandkids · 31/10/2016 07:06

Boob, not boon.

Mooseville · 31/10/2016 07:06

mummytobe You've literally just described myself! I feel as though I've lost all get up and go! All I want to do is lie down in one spot and everything else is a collossal effort!!!!

themoonandsixpence · 31/10/2016 07:16

Morning all, can I ask at the 12 week (dating scan) what results do you receive at the scan and which results come through the post? Primarily I'm wondering about the Down's, Edward's and Patau's?

MoonlightMojitos · 31/10/2016 07:22

Morning ladies. I have my booking appointment this afternoon and an early scan this evening so will check in later.

Welcome max!

Sixisthemagicnumber · 31/10/2016 07:25

moon when I had my 12 week scan in my last pregnancy they did the nuchal fold check and took the required blood at the same time as the scan and then I got the results in the post about a week later. They can't usually give the results at the same time as the scan because the blood has to be sent off for analysis and ideally the nuchal fold should be looked at on the same day the blood is taken.

themoonandsixpence · 31/10/2016 07:26

Best of luck moonlightmojito, remember to ask if they can get you a copy of the scan....we totally forgot at our 5w+6d scan as we're so excited. Next time I'm going to write it on my hand

haveacupoftea · 31/10/2016 07:34

Oooh exciting mojitos good luck! yep poppy will be finding out!

I'd love to book another early scan but i just tell myself the chance of mc is now 2% as have seen heartbeat so the chance of mmc will be a miniscule percentage (not sure how many mc are silent) and i need to just calm down Blush

HazyHazyJeans · 31/10/2016 07:46

Morning everyone

Welcome newbies Smile

Good luck mojitos

moon same as six, as far as o can remember you get your EDD confirmed there & then but all test results come out in the post

themoonandsixpence · 31/10/2016 07:48

haveacupoftea I was doing the same this morning and looking at websites such as thisismy and ultrasound-direct. I'm fighting between 'the peace of mind' versus with the money I would save and what extras I can buy baby.

Masweetpea1 · 31/10/2016 07:53

Good luck mojitos . Welcome newbies!
mummy, I'm the same, my get up and go has gone! I'm a huge Halloween fan and this year i have only made one pumpkin (under duress from my friends), Winkand not decorated the house. Most unlike me. I think I'm just knackered (and trying to take it easy as well with this bleed).

I hope it's back for Christmas as i love decorating for that!!! Smile
