Go Stealth!! Will be checking for updates.
Thought of Amazon after I posted about the TENS. I've got Prime so if the Doula doesn't come up trumps in the next few days then I'll get one on next day delivery just in case.

Admarks · 18/12/2016 21:28

Wow, I don't check for a day and we have a baby en-route. Good luck Stealth!!

For tens machines on the high street- lloyds pharmacies were recommended to me Happy!

Baby stealth born at 6.30pm via emergency c section after failed natural, ventouse and forceps deliveries. I did my bit but the little stubborn thing just did not want to play ball and come out!

We are both very well, although I am shattered as laboured for 18 hours before we went to the emergency section & also I lost quite a lot of blood. Have just dispatched Master Stealth to the hospital nursery so I can get some rest.

Bella1985 · 19/12/2016 00:27

Congratulations stealth! Glad to hear both of you are doing well and you're getting some well deserved rest. Such lovely news!

Wonderful news! Congratulations stealth, I hope you are both doing very well, and have a very speedy recovery in time for Christmas.

happylass · 19/12/2016 07:37

Huge Congratulations Stealth!! Hope you are getting some rest. Take care x

Emz32 · 19/12/2016 07:41

Congratulations Stealth. First baby born on this thread. He put you through the wringer but hopefully you can get some much needed rest now. How much did he weigh in the end? Such exciting news.

Emz32 · 19/12/2016 10:20

I'm still getting cramps & they were pretty painful lastnight & through the night. Discharge has increased even more. Confused Iv informed baby that it's too late now & it had better stay put. 38 weeks today. Seeing midwife on Wednesday. Hoping she doesn't offer sweep as it feels too close to Christmas then. If it happens it happens but not sure I want to help it that close??

happylass · 19/12/2016 11:02

Emz I'm exactly the same. I'm not going to go for the sweep I was meant to be having this week. Going to ask if they can do it as soon after Christmas as possible.

LucySB123 · 19/12/2016 12:23

Congratulations stealth!! Guess master stealth couldn't wait to spend Christmas with all of you. Sounds like a very long labour but I'm sure the first cuddle was well worth it in the end. Speedy recovery and hope all of you will be back in the comfort of your own home soon.

Still nothing here. I'm resigned to having a 2017 baby.

My original post has disappearedHmm

Congratulations Stealth! Sounds like you've experienced all aspects of labour but good news that baby Stealth has arrived and you are all well, if a little knackered! Hope you are both well and recovering nicely? Fingers crossed you can be home for Christmas.

I wonder who will be next - how are things today Emz and Happy?

colonolthirteen · 19/12/2016 15:06

Admarks thanks for the lovely update. Emz and Happy I hadn't even considered that the midwife might offer a sweep this week (my app is on wed) but I'm totally with you, he's had his chance - he's gonna have to wait till after the new year now.

Emz32 · 19/12/2016 15:31

I'm not sure if the midwife will but wanted to mull over so I wasn't caught unawares. Figured I just let nature take its course.

colonolthirteen · 19/12/2016 15:53

Absolutely yes. We're not due for a couple of weeks anyway are we!

Emz32 · 19/12/2016 16:12

No we aren't. Very true. I guess mentally I assumed, I wouldn't make my due date.

Not having a very successful day today. Sat down to do my birth playlist on iPod... Turns out my laptop doesn't have a cd drive. Tried to do my work due in January to get ahead of the game but I can't due to accountants not having done their bit. Oh well, I'll put my feet up then

colonolthirteen · 19/12/2016 17:04

Yes I think the universe is telling you to sit down and eat things! SmileCakeBrew

Bella1985 · 19/12/2016 18:59

If it helps emz I've downloaded spotify for free on to my phone and ipad and created a playlist on that. You need internet access at the hospital for it to work (I've checked mine and there's wifi so no probs there!) but on the free subscription you have to listen to stupid adverts every 30mins, can only skip a couple of songs, and can't choose the order the music plays (you have to pay to have these privileges) but that's my playlist sorted as opposed to an ipod (my 10yr old ipod has decided to turn itself off when it fancies so don't want to risk that happening if I'm in for a while!) Bonus of spotify is if I become irrational and hate my playlist, you don't need to buy/pay for the music so you can search for bands and albums and play them if their music is on there!

Just realised that my due date is next week Shock

Emz32 · 19/12/2016 19:27

That's something I'll look at. DH has paid for Apple Music which I could use.

I put my feet up waiting for DH & DS to come home & fell asleep for an hour on the sofa!! I got up & had the most intense pains & I felt a lot of wetness. Sorry for the tmi. It doesn't seem enough for waters but too much for anything else. It wet my trousers... Definitely not wee. I hate this guessing game.

Admarks · 19/12/2016 19:31

OH Emz, sounds like it could be! I've read waters can be a gush, but more often slower release (if at all). Have you called triage to let them know and for advice? Are your DH and DS home yet?

Bella1985 · 19/12/2016 19:54

I agree with admarks - give them a ring as it could be your waters. MW at antenatal class emphasised how waters can be a trickle or little bursts rather than the full on gush so it could be it!

OP posts:
colonolthirteen · 19/12/2016 19:55

Emz I've heard that too, some women just experience waters breaking as a continuous leakage for a few hours.

Emz32 · 19/12/2016 19:57

Id just figured it was nothing. Just waiting for DH to make dinner. DS is home & in bed. My mum is supposed to be on childcare duties but has informed me she's on her 2nd wine. Hmm there are other drivers in the house thankfully. I'll see what happens.

stealthbanana · 19/12/2016 21:49

emz I also had a small amount of wetness on Saturday that I put down to discharge /having been for a swim. When they went to break my waters after putting in the epidural it turned out they had broken already I felt bad as it meant baby stealth now has a knitting needle scratch to the top of his skull to add to all the forceps and ventouse injuries. So I had no idea mine had gone!

really hoping everyone's babies come at a time of their choosing Grin
