Awwww congrats Niks - so exciting!

I do find it amazing how much I've bonded with something I can't see or feel yet Rasperry. I find myself gently caressing my belly and my DH has been talking to it pretty much since day one.

PeachIcedT · 17/10/2016 11:50

What a great scan pic Niks! It seems so clear. It's exciting that 12 week scans are now starting to happen :)

MissMooMoo · 17/10/2016 11:56

Lovely seeing the scan! I can't believe how much baby changes in just a few weeks.

MissMoo scary isn't it! I was reading the other day that at week 9 it's the size of an Olive but by week 11 it's the size of a lime!

It's insane!

RasperryInAMelon · 17/10/2016 12:12

Kent same here, I wonder whether I look bat shit mental when there's not a lot to show, although I have ballooned in the last two weeks.

DH and I were reading our book 'What to expect when you're expecting' to it last night Smile just puts a very subtle smile on my face

EsmesBees · 17/10/2016 12:12

Great scan pic niks. Feels odd that this group has got as far as 12 week scans.

lalaland1985 · 17/10/2016 12:42

Beautiful scan pic nicks! It makes me even more excited for mine on Friday!

AnneLovesGilbert · 17/10/2016 13:06

Wonderful seeing more scans and knowing others are coming up soon!

Mine's 3 weeks today... Feels so far away.

I'm at home today as we're having plumbing done and the water's been off for hours. I've managed to have 3 wees but I'm so thirsty!

Damson9 · 17/10/2016 13:41

Afternoon all,

Well, I find it relatively easy to keep up with this on days I make it to the office, but I seem to fall off the world on the days I work from home (of which there have been many more of late!) Still feeling pretty questionable, and, sadly, last week, I marked my vomit card. I had been so good; granted, I'd felt very sick but I'd managed to not be (I'm lactose intolerant but will often still eat something I shouldn't because life's too short and custard is great, so I'm really good at feeling ill but not being sick), but last week took me by surprise a bit. Happily, I felt a little better afterwards, scared the crap out of my cats, though! :)

Hello to any new folks that have arrived, and congrats. Awesome, isn't it?

Imogen, sorry to hear your heartbreaking news. Sending you much love, virtual tea and cake. BrewCakeFlowers

Maternity clothes, you say, lucieloos, well, I've put 6lb on so far, but am occasionally so bloated it looks like I might have quads in there - I don't - so I'm starting to think about it (after next week's scan, which is on Monday). At the very least, I need to buy some maternity tights - the rest I can wing for a bit longer.

One thing I did pick up, though, which was a god send, was bra extenders (£5 for 3 from Debenhams, they do two and three hook and they're black, white and nude). My boobs haven't grown that much, but what with the bloating and everything, they were getting a bit tight around the back. Oh, man, the relief! Grin

Sorry to all those feeling so crap. People keep telling me that it just goes away one day - you wake up and feel fine, and you look radiant! Can't wait Wink

Fox, we ended up having a private scan a few weeks back. I thought the TWW was bad until we got pregnant and started waiting for the scan! I'd messed work about so much, I felt that I needed to tell them, but wanted to see that all was progressing as planned first... and on that note, great pic, Niks. They grow so much in the run up to the 12-week scan, don't they? Can't wait for ours next week!

Flingmoo · 17/10/2016 13:43

Eeeep the scan pics make me so excited! I'm only 8 weeks as due at end of May. So it's funny that some of you are already 12 weeks! I am counting down the days til my scan... 28 days to go still! Envy

I'm hoping that no spotting, no period, morning sickness etc is a good sign that everything is progressing normally but you just never know until the scan really do you?

RasperryInAMelon · 17/10/2016 14:05

Damson I'm with ya! I bought some maternity tights yesterday... literally the most comfortable thing I've ever worn! I ordered a few sale bits from New Look last week too and my leggings for dossing around the house arrived this morning... literally can't wait to get home!

I picked up a few dresses too that I can 'grow' into over the coming weeks and months. Trying to hold off on buying new bras at the moment because they're growing so quickly I don't want to have to keep replacing them!

McBaby · 17/10/2016 14:21

Had an early scan yesterday but was dated at 10+5 after a miscarriage at 10 weeks in July. my NHS 12 week scan is 2.5 weeks away. Baby was kicking its feet and waving its arms around. So different from the 7 week scan when it was a 6mm tadpole.

Sonnet18 · 17/10/2016 15:20

I am so behind with this thread. Lots of new people- welcome and congrats!
Had another scan today and I'm now back at my original date of 13th May which puts me at 10+2. Delighted as I thought I was just 9ish weeks!

Badgerbird · 17/10/2016 15:24

nic and mcbaby such great news about the scans! Smile Very exciting!

I'm starting to feel a bit nervous about everything Confused Guess I'm gonna need to book a scan for next week (8.4 today) to check all is still well as I want to do harmony test. We also have a lot going on in RL at the mo- funeral, building work, big work event etc so very overwhelmed!

Who had harmony (or similar) and did you have scan just before? Are you still waiting for results? Does it interfere with NHS 12 week scan? (I don't have date for that yet anyway). Please help!

Sonnet18 · 17/10/2016 15:25

Scan pic!

Badgerbird · 17/10/2016 16:33

Oops cross posted there.... fantastic news sonnet!! Great piccie Smile

lucieloos · 17/10/2016 17:16

Amazing scan pics! I can't wait for me next one now.

Badger, I am having the harmony test at 10w1d and they do a scan at the same time included in the price although I've already had another scan at 7w5d as well but you don't have to do that. Harmony won't interfere with NHS.

EsmesBees · 17/10/2016 17:22

Great news Sonnet. Lovely pic.

Maternity tights are officially the comfiest clothes on the planet. Occasionally I wear a pair to work now (when I'm behind on the laundry Wink) and feel fab all day.

Actually had a nap today while my toddler was asleep. Was great. House is a state but I feel miles better.

Sonnet18 · 17/10/2016 18:48

Maternity leggings for me today! Think I'm still just a bit fat from my first pregnancy but I was so comfy today, there's no going back now!

Ghostonthedancefloor · 17/10/2016 19:39

Lovely to see the pictures.

PeachIcedT · 17/10/2016 20:10

Lovely scan picture sonnet, congratulations :)

4sacharm · 17/10/2016 20:18

Welcome to new folk and congratulations to those who have had scans and seen their babies. I have my booking scan next Tuesday and am starting to get really nervous about it, I was only 10 weeks on Saturday, feel like I have been pregnant for an eternity! X

lingo · 18/10/2016 07:59

Morning everyone,

I was happily in the June 2017 thread until I went for an early private scan last night....and came out to find I'm due 10th May!Shock

Which means we must have conceived in August but I was convinced otherwise as had a negative test day before period was due and a light period. But there's no mistaking it's arms and legs so here I am!

First job this morning is to call hospital to move my booking and scan appts forward!

PeachIcedT · 18/10/2016 08:24

Wow lingo that's some jump forward! Lovely pic but yes I imagine you'll have some reorganisation for scans to do now. Must seem like it's happening so quickly for you. Congratulations!
