Congratulations jonsnow, what a relief! Happy birthday ghost.
Hi Anne. I think the lack of vomit is because it's still early days for me rather than due to the wrist thingies. I remember thinking 'this is OK, I can do this for 9 months!' for the first week of nausea with DD. Then the tsunami of vomit happened. I'm stocked up on ginger, mint tea and have plonked a load of peppermint and lavender oil in the humidifier. I suspect the only really effective solution will be to eat everything in sight.

LillyBugg · 03/10/2016 17:41

Can I just add hat my midwife didn't even empty the pot when she gave it back to me when I had DS. So I had to carry a pot of piss in my handbag all day!!

jennymac31 · 03/10/2016 18:10

I've never heard of midwives expecting you to re-use the sample pot each time they need to test your urine. I was always given a new sample pot with my first pregnancy so I'm hoping it will be the same this time round.

ginandcake · 03/10/2016 18:26

We have to reuse them here, it's grim. I'm going to pinch a load from work! Blush

LorrieJ · 03/10/2016 18:45

I've never been asked to reuse a pot and the thought is horrifying! I expect it would have been 'accidently' forgotten each time. shudders

jennymac31 · 03/10/2016 19:12

Reusing sample sounds mental and not very hygienic. Plus I wonder if test results would be accurate if you're using the sample sample pot, which might have old pee in it. All sounds a bit wrong to me but maybe I'm over-thinking things.

Sonnet18 · 03/10/2016 19:32

Had my booking appointment today. Pretty unremarkable! I wasn't given another pee pot (and certainly wasn't given the old one back!!) I can't remember if we are supposed to take a sample to the 12 week scan or provide it there? Full bladder needed for scan so unsure how that would work. Who knows. You wouldn't think I went through all this one year ago- I can't remember a thing!

Streaky17 · 03/10/2016 20:25

Good to hear all about the scans and general good news!

I've had slight spotting today so a bit worried and I'm also apprehensive about restarting exercise tomorrow after a week off. So I'll probably take it easy.

shimmysparkles · 03/10/2016 21:22

Not posted for a while. Currently recovering from pneumonia which has left me exhausted. Still chasing up booking appt and scan. Hoping they can fit us in next week as will be 11 weeks then and just want reassurance the little one is still with us and not too badly affected by all the meds I have been on.

IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley · 03/10/2016 23:41

Lovely to see the scan pictures. :)

I have had a really rough few days. Being v sick, couldn't make it into work today so felt guilty about that all day.

Got up at 05:30 after a biscuit in bed, had a shower, got dressed, all the while feeling rotten. Then vomited continuously for an hour. Text boss, went back to bed- was sick in and off all day. Struggling to eat or drink, but still trying.
Will try again tomorrow, and see if I get on any better.

Also struggled to help at all with my DD in the evening meaning my poor DH did the lions share as well as going to work.

Generally feeling a little useless. Was very ill until 24 weeks last time. Fingers crossed the nausea doesn't last that long this time.

Sorry to read of others feeling rubbish too. Xx

Marzipanmodelling · 04/10/2016 08:05

Adeventure snap, same feelings! This is baby #3 and I'm worried what we've done. I'm worried it's going to ruin the lovely dynamic between my other two DCs and have been really sick/constantly nauseous so can't even be a very good mum at the moment and I'm a SAHM so feel extra guilty for not being 'fun mum' all day every day anymore. Mother's guilt is the

Worst Sad x

talulahbelle · 04/10/2016 08:28

Worried today - my sickness has gone from an 8/10 level to maybe 1/10 today (7+6)
I'm hoping it's just normal fluctuations in hormones. Booking appointment is a week today, then it's the wait until I find out when my 12 week scan is. 1st tri really does drag.

MissMooMoo · 04/10/2016 09:35

talulahbelle 7+4 here and equally worried that I managed to sleep all night without getting up for a wee, I hope its a one off.
I did read that the placenta is slowly taking over from week 7 and that it fully takes over between weeks 9-13 so its possible it is doing more work now and easing the sickness for you? Hope so!

MissMooMoo · 04/10/2016 09:37

ShockReally hope we don't have to reuse pots here !!! If so I will be ordering a bunch off ebay,no way I am washing it out every time.

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/10/2016 10:24

I feel better today as well, but I had a lunchtime nap in the sick room yesterday and an early night, plus my vitamin jab at the doc which always helps.

I woke up and wondered what felt different - it was the lying there for a second rather than catapulting straight to the loo for a massive morning wee!

Really bloated, huge sore boobs and some nausea, so hardly symptom free. But Ovia reminded me of what you say Moo about the placenta developing and things potentially easing off, so I'm grateful to feel a bit better rather than worrying. I'm 7+3, so v similar to you and talulahbelle.

Also had my flu jab last night. Dire warnings of fever and other side effects but feeling fine so far!

And I got a pot to pee in, phew!

MissMooMoo · 04/10/2016 11:22

anne yes I am getting my info from Ovia too.

I have booked a scan for Saturday morning, I don't think I can wait another 4 weeks for the 12 week one.
I still haven't even seen the GP for a midwife referral, have an appt on Monday for that.

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/10/2016 11:48

I love it, so nice getting all the updates. My Mum's had 4 DC and I've told her stuff from Ovia she had no idea about!

Good news on booking your scan. Will you be 8 weeks by then?

Northernexile · 04/10/2016 12:32

Hi everyone! Happy belated birthday ghost, and congrats Jonsnow!

I recall having to reuse a pee pot last time. Have none to take a sample to the hospital in on Monday though! So have booking app and 12 week scan on Monday now and the wait is killing me. My symptoms have really trailed off, other than tiredness in the evening, so really hoping all's well.

Hope everyone suffering with sickness starts to feel better soon!

Flingmoo · 04/10/2016 13:08

I had a flu shot on Saturday and felt fine at first, haven't even been that nauseous with the pregnancy yet, but today I feel awful. Whole body aching, head throbbing, shivery and cold. I'm not sure what to do. I don't know if it's the flu shot or what but I feel awful.

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/10/2016 14:49

Oh no Mamushka that sounds awful, you poor thing. The nurse said the symptoms can last a few days and not to worry as cold, mild aches and fever are normal side effects. If you're worried you could call your GP.

FoxMulder · 04/10/2016 15:00

Anyone know if I could have a utility without knowing it? My peers stinks even though I'm drinking OK but it doesn't burn.

FoxMulder · 04/10/2016 15:37

UTI! Stupid phone

Adventuregame · 04/10/2016 16:30

Have you eaten asparagus ?

FoxMulder · 04/10/2016 16:35

Ha! No. And it's been like this for at least a week. I thought it was dehydration at first but I'm keeping water down now.
