Anyone else Due June 2017?

pinkiponk · 21/09/2016 20:40

BFP last Friday, will (hopefully) be my second child, as have a 2 year old DS already. Doctor said I was due 2 June Smile
Feeling very excited, but quite nervous as had a MMC before DS, so noticing when symptoms have gone/come back!
Also finding it hard not being able to talk to anyone in RL (obviously DH knows).
Anyone else got this news recently and care to join? Smile

Goingmadttc · 11/10/2016 19:44

Chocolate?! Sorry you had a stressful day tea!

Dragon5000 · 11/10/2016 19:52

AnnaKD its my borthday thursday too!! Luckily was meant to be going out the weekend with work people but didn't organise anything but I work in the next town so can always use the driving card.I'm not a huge drinker anyway and certainly don't fancy a drink at all, don't even fancy chocolate.

KittyVonCatsington · 11/10/2016 19:57

I'm the opposite with early scans-to terrified in case something is wrong-I'd rather not know until I have to! Past history hasn't been that kind but this time, as I've carried a baby to term, with a bundle of nerves-I'm going to try and enjoy this one!

Congratulations Beanbag!

Have developed a stuffy nose and keep getting nauseous wary in the morning and in the evening around dinner time like now. Sipping ice cold water which is helping!

Hope everyone has had a lovely day!

RetroHippy · 11/10/2016 20:35

Yep to the stuffy nose and morning/evening nausea. I know eating will help but I'm not fussed.

DH remembers the stuffiness from last time - I can only assume I snore Grin

elgoldenflower · 11/10/2016 20:37

Hello all,

I'm 6+3, due June 4th. This is my second pregnancy, I have a nearly 5 yr old who is very keen on having a sibling. Can't wait to tell him but we're going to wait until 12 weeks.

Sore boobs, occasional major mood swings and minor SPD twinges (I had it terribly with DS1) are my only symptoms.

Really excited but feels very different the second time around, much more mixed feelings although it was planned and we're very happy. Not looking forward to the exhaustion and the return to work already. But the thought newborn snuggles and being a family of four is wonderful.

RetroHippy · 11/10/2016 20:38

Lime cordial in fizzy or still water is helping.

I miss red wine already Sad. I find it much harder not to drink when it's cold, there's something very comforting about a nice glass of wine. There are loads of acceptable beer substitutes for summer, but nothing comes close to a nice red on a cold evening.

Any suggestions gratefully received. Herbal tea isn't quite hitting the spot Wink

KittyVonCatsington · 11/10/2016 20:45

Retro If you have and M and S near you, they do a range of non-alcoholic wine substitutes but they are fizzy mind. Or, when they come out. Some non-alcoholic mulled wine punch sounds tempting!!

Sixisthemagicnumber · 11/10/2016 21:08

mumofthree even more similarities - we have a large age gap between dc2 and dc3 (12 years) all boys here though. 2 of them weighed in a couple of ounces shy of 10lb Shock. We have 4 bedrooms but one cannot share due to medical need and it feels a bit mean to ask the other older one to share when he has always had his own room.

Lixon · 11/10/2016 21:44

Hello again everyone, sorry to hear about all the sickness, hopefully it eases off soon or you find something to calm it. It's lovely hearing everyone's stories and seeing how many people are going through the same thing/having the same concerns.

I find going to the bar and coming back with your own "vodka" and lemonade works well for disguising not drinking as well - people definitely make more of s fuss if you give excuses.

My ultra baby does scans for £80 in Canary Wharf, no experience yet though..

After my nhs scan on Friday I continued to bleed very heavily over the weekend with lots of clots and pain (and I'm still bleeding a week on..). I am fairly sure I have miscarried as I've stopped getting any pregnancy symptoms but perhaps not completely as I am still testing positive. I can't be rescanned any earlier than next Thursday so I'm just holding on and will see what happens. I'm a control freak so not very easy... Nhs have been amazing though and if something has survived it will be s little miracle. If not hopefully I won't have to wait another 18 months.. Sorry to put a downer on things - I've been trying not to get too involved but really have been enjoying reading everyone's posts and it's quite nice to vent because I will only tell people st work once things are confirmed either way..

Lixon · 11/10/2016 22:02

Also on miscarriage statistics this is the chart from Expecting Better (which I found a really good/reassuring read generally on dos and donts in pregnancy) which isn't that dissimilar from the other stats linked but is based on actual figures following healthy scans at those times..

Anyone else Due June 2017?
LoveMyRs · 12/10/2016 00:42

Hello everyone, just had a test and yup am pregnant.
Looks like its ganna be a June baby here as well Halo

peaceloveandbiscuits · 12/10/2016 04:43

I've felt uncomfortable all evening and now have sharp stitch like pain in my tummy Confused I'm generally optimistic and positive and trying to remember that all these pains and twinges are normal, but tbh I can't remember if they are!

firefly23 · 12/10/2016 05:28

When are you guys telling people? My aim is at 12 weeks once I've had my scan but with the size of my 'bump' already, people could easily notice now! (5+6)

beanbag19 · 12/10/2016 06:34

Interesting to see the prices for early scans, I'm so tempted.

I now have the most horrendous cold and sore throat. This is exactly what happened with my first and it completely wiped me out. Feeling properly rotten but keep having to get out of bed to pee.

I also had a really strange fluttery feeling yesterday every time I coughed or sneezed. Felt exactly like the baby moving but I know it can't be. Anyone else had this?
