Anyone else Due June 2017?

1000 replies

pinkiponk · 21/09/2016 20:40

BFP last Friday, will (hopefully) be my second child, as have a 2 year old DS already. Doctor said I was due 2 June Smile
Feeling very excited, but quite nervous as had a MMC before DS, so noticing when symptoms have gone/come back!
Also finding it hard not being able to talk to anyone in RL (obviously DH knows).
Anyone else got this news recently and care to join? Smile

Thanks ladies, glad I'm not alone with a lack of symptoms, that makes me feel better! Wish we had crystal balls that we could peek into and be reassured that everything is ok! I thought the two week window was stressful when TTC but the waiting for the first scan is much more stressful! Moonlight, I hope things are ok, glad they are taking it seriously and checking you over before you go away. V organised HelloMist! Will fill it in!

Thanks guys. Basically I just saw an out of hours gp so he prodded my stomach a but and did a blood test which has been sent to hospital and they will apparently ring me to say what happens next. No idea what they're testing for. I'm guessing hcg levels so decide if they're high enough to do a scan yet or need to wait a few days? I'm going on holiday tomorrow which I did tell the Dr so hoping they ring me by the morning.

dragon is your first a DS? Don't they say clear skin, hair etc with a boy and spots and oily skin with a girl? Grin

Mimosa1 · 08/10/2016 17:09

Hi all! Marking place as 4 weeks along myself - will be along soon to introduce myself properly. Off to watch Bridget Jones's baby!

Dragon5000 · 08/10/2016 17:26

Yes!! I do have a boy!! Are my fears of a girl going to come true?! I say fears because I don't like any girls names Shock

Dragon5000 · 08/10/2016 17:27

Welcome Mimosa!!!

MundayCakes85 · 08/10/2016 17:34

Haha with my DD I had a horrible spotty back, hair stopped growing, was fat all over... Let's hope this time around I get the "glow" everyone talks about Hmm

peaceloveandbiscuits · 08/10/2016 17:43

The only old wives tales that came true for me were that I became a werewolf and went completely off sweet things - until the last month when I suddenly needed chocolate!

peaceloveandbiscuits · 08/10/2016 17:43

I had a boy.

haveacupoftea · 08/10/2016 18:06

Waves to Mimosa

Nothing exciting happening here today. No sickness but quite a lot of cm all of a sudden.

Hope all is ok Mojitos. As youve had no other symptoms of ectopic try not to worry too much. With sluggish digestion it could be gas pains or anything.

Our in laws have taken us to a lovely hotel...just got to our room and its full of wine and has a hot tub Sad think we are going to tell them tonight. I feel really nervous!

Wow loads of posts today!

Had first bit of nausea this morning when I was up for work, I get up at 5am for work at the weekends.

Deffo bloated but thankfully everything still fits just about!

Go from feeling bloated and full to ravenously hungry in the space of 5 mins at the moment.

Hi ladies can I join? Bfp today and think I'll be due in June 2017! Have no symptoms though other than missed period which I'm worried about :-( will be my first one; look forward to getting to know you all

peaceloveandbiscuits · 08/10/2016 18:10

Cupoftea I've just been on holiday this week and in the hot tub twice a day. As long as you're sensible about not staying in for hours and hours, enjoy yourself!

Dragon5000 · 08/10/2016 18:13

I think all my work colleagues have guessed, I've been doing SW since April lost 1st 10lbs and then last 2 weeks been eating crisps and crap and 12 crackers at a time!! But also thanks to the weight loss I'm having to belt my trousers so atm they're still ok to wear!!

MoonlightMojitos · 08/10/2016 18:32

Haha dragon I'm sure you'll think of some names in time if it was a girl but better get your thinking cap on! I am also very spotty and greasy hair. Urgh. I'd love a girl though :) (obvs be happy with either!) I've had names picked for years lol although I'm sure we will come up with some more ideas once we start thinking about it.

Welcome mimosa and username!

I can't figure out how to use the spreadsheet lol, I'll have to wait til on a pc.

peace that's interesting, I wonder how much truth there is in it.

Thanks tea, I'm hoping it's OK. Enjoy your evening, sounds lovely (although sad about the wine!)

vegan I've been ravenous all week and bloated at the same time! Cannot stop eating.

peaceloveandbiscuits · 08/10/2016 18:59

There's no truth in it, it's totally random. But a bit of fun.

Dragon5000 · 08/10/2016 19:00

we didn't really agree on a girls name before we were both relieved (for that reason only) he was a boy! not that i have another boys name as our boys name was already decided and we didn't discuss anymore. DH told me his preferred girls name - not happening!!!!!!

MoonlightMojitos · 08/10/2016 19:26

Just had a call back from the hospital, got a scan at 11am tomorrow. They must have found what they were looking for in the blood test?

peaceloveandbiscuits · 08/10/2016 19:38

I don't expect your bloods will be back yet Moonlight, but if you're showing symptoms of ectopic they will scan ASAP.

VeganMama83 · 08/10/2016 20:06

Added myself to the spreadsheet I think?

we have names sorted for boy or girl. Found out what we were having both times previously so wanting to be team yellow this time!

MoonlightMojitos · 08/10/2016 20:20

peace they sent them straight by courier to the hospital when they took them and said they would be in touch when they got the results so I think they have had them. They test them on site at the hospital. I had the results within hours after my mc too.

peaceloveandbiscuits · 08/10/2016 20:21

How efficient! Hopefully good news

MoonlightMojitos · 08/10/2016 20:24

It is good that they don't keep you waiting long. Nice to have some positive feedback for the NHS now and then! I'll give you all an update after I've been before I shoot off on holiday!

Dragon5000 · 08/10/2016 20:31

fingers crossed mojito!!

HelloMist · 08/10/2016 20:41

Glad you will update Moonlight, hope things go OK tomorrow.

Yes, I see you on the spreadsheet, VeganMama :) if anyone's stuck you can PM me info to add for you or ask for help. I've listed username, age, location, DC number (if this will be your first baby, 2nd etc) due date, scan dates and any other comments. But you don't have to share all those if you don't want or don't know yet.

I've got the yoyo-ing appetite too! Well I'm eating reasonably normally but getting hungry again at weird times. Soon after a meal, 5am.

MundayCakes85 · 08/10/2016 20:47

Mojito- I work in a lab. Your hCG result would be back in a few hours, but without a repeat sample 24-48 hours apart to compare to I don't think they would be able to rule ectopic in or out at this stage. They will just want to make sure with the scan what is causing the pain. Please try not to stress yourself too much this evening.
