Shark I really hope the sickness stops soon!

jobrum it's honestly the best drink ever! Full of sugar but tastes delicious!

I got up early this morning and made those just roll pain au chocolats... such a naughty Tuesday treat!

TopKittyKat · 04/10/2016 07:24

Woohoo...it's scan day!

Sorry it's of you are still suffering with sickness. I think I've finally turned a corner on that front. It's been getting less and less frequent. Hopefully not much longer until you all start to feel better.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 04/10/2016 08:06

Scan day for me too. Feeling strangely emotionless about it, I think it's self-preservation. It was such a rollercoaster last time (and the start of a dreadful fortnight waiting for CVS results).

Though the sickness is much improved for me now (12 weeks exactly) I have still been sick every day for the last 3 days - I'm just getting blissful gaps of normality between bursts of nauses.

marmitecheesetoast · 04/10/2016 08:11

Happy scan day kittycat! Hope it all goes well. And for you bubbins.

I was just about to write that the sickness seems to be on the way out for me too then atarted wretching...maybe not! 12+4 today so should be gone soon I hope!

summerskittles91 · 04/10/2016 08:23

Good luck to everyone having scans today!
And so exciting to see everyone's scan pictures too :) It such an amazing feeling seeing the baby!

14 weeks today for me and (touch wood) the sickness is easing, and my appetite is kind of going back to normal, I think! Although I've got a new craving for chocolate milkshake in the mornings.

Good luck for your scans ladies, I look forward to seeing pictures!

Caramel hot chocolate sounds amazing. I'm all about the savoury, but I think I could make an exception for that. Mmm.

Has anyone taken other children with them to EPU? Have a reassurance scan booked for Thursday because of the bleeding before the weekend, but am likely to have DD with me as DH is working. So far everyone in the family is tied up that day.

summerskittles91 · 04/10/2016 09:23

MrsRhubarb

I haven't personally had to take children to EPU but when i went at 7 weeks because of bleeding, there was one couple with a child and they all went into the scan room, as well as a lady on her own with a toddler and it didn't seen like a problem. I doubt they will say anything.

Good luck for scanees today! Booking appt for me, can't be too many of those outstanding Grin

I've had to take DD with me to EPU on one of our many visits - they prefer no kids but are generally quite understanding in need.

I have no sweet cravings at all - DH bought doughnuts yesterday and I didn't want one. Usually they are whisked out of his hand before he can say hello!

Celen · 04/10/2016 09:45

Good luck to all the scanees today! Smile

No Tangfastics in bloody Wilkos, I may have to SUE! AngryGrin

marmitecheesetoast · 04/10/2016 09:59

Celen can you order them on Amazon Prime?! Heheh

MrsRhubarb · 04/10/2016 10:04

Thanks Skittles no-one said anything when we took her for the 12 week scan amd she was good as gold. I think as long as I have some nice things in my bag to bribe her with if required while we'recommend waiting we will be okay.

MrsRhubarb · 04/10/2016 10:05

Thanks Skittles and Chat! *

jpeg28 · 04/10/2016 10:17

Good luck with scans today Topkitty and bubbins!

mrsrhubarb of the many many times I've been to EPU I've seen quite a few children in with mums so I'm sure it will be ok. Hope the scan goes well.

All I want is sweet stuff!! Although to be honest I would eat anything!

Celen · 04/10/2016 10:43

It's ok everyone, trusty Poundland had some ! Grin

Number4OnTheWay · 04/10/2016 11:04

I'm feeling very envious of everyone who's sickness has eased off.
I've been having just neausia until now, no actuall sickness at all. Last week I was fine and thought FINALLY its eased off. But I don't know if it's a bug like the mw said, or ms, but I've now been throwing up for 4 days. I can barely keep anything down and nothing seems to ease it. I habe no appetite at all, a slight temp (who h makes me think bug) but then I get these fleeting moments where I feel fine and then it's gone again and I'm pulling over on the way to school to throw up.
Sorry this is so doom and gloom, I just feel so crappy. I've spent the best part of 3 days asleep and don't feel like it's jet lag (I slept all night last night, without waking) all I want to do is go back to bed but I can't because I'm glued to the toilet because I want to throw up again.
I am so fed up.
Good luck with scans and booking in appointments today.

MumiTravels · 04/10/2016 11:38

Usually a vomiting bug would wear off by 4 days number4. You haven't got any other symptoms? No urinary symptoms?

Are you due any bloods soon with the MW?

LotsaTuddles · 04/10/2016 11:40

Celen I'm going to Canterbury Friday if you want me to have a look in Morrisons?

Plus I really want some now too

I've been MIA for a few days suffering with this awful cold. I had to take today off work and go see the nurse practitioner as u was worried it had turned into a chest infection. It's ok she just said I'm being hit with it hard because of the pregnancy! Cheers kiddo!

I'm so sorry to read about Eco Flowers

Good luck today scanners can't wait to see more pics!

I had my first consultant appointment yesterday which ended up being a bit of a roller coaster ride! First he said that I shouldn't have been at his clinic because it was a pre term labour clinic, I did point out that my waters broke pre-term at 35+6 last time! He very abrutly said that he wasn't going to check my cervix length, instead he would scan me for the condition I had with my placenta which caused us to lose DS. I asked if he could do that so early at 12 weeks but apparently so! He successfully ruled out the condition and discharged me from 'high risk' consultant care and said I would now be under 'normal' co sultans care as there is nothing wrong with me or my baby. I'm in a state of shock and although I'm overjoyed, I'm still so extremely anxious! I didn't expect these checks to happen until much later on. Not sure why I'm over sharing it all but it's such a huge step for me and this baby!

Oh and I had my flu jab last week at my 12 week scan last week. My arm kills.

Celen · 04/10/2016 12:44

Yes our immune systems go doolally during pregnancy don't they - they are more parasites than babies Puggle Wink And good news about consultant appt!

That's really kind Lotsa, but I stocked up on sweet crap in Poundland Grin

Hope it eases off soon Number4, maybe call GP or MW if continues? Have you been away, is it possible you have caught something?

Number4OnTheWay · 04/10/2016 13:36

I've been in America celen, so not sure what I would have caught. I'm now wrapped up in a duvet and blanket shivering. So definitely think it's a bug now. I feel so rough :(
I did speak to the midwife on Saturday who said speak to gp if dieaorea (i can never spell it 🙈) started, but it hasnt, so not sure what to think now. I'm just so thirsty all the time too Confused I'm drinking plain water but it feels like I'm putting a shed load of salt in there.

Puggle, being signed off so soon would make me more anxious. Keep speaking to your midwife and of you feel later on down the track you need more reassurance she can re refer you, maybe to the pre term clinic if needs be.

Celen · 04/10/2016 15:18

Thirst could be a symptom of pregnancy too Number4, as opposed to part of a bug?

Bubbinsmakesthree · 04/10/2016 15:24

puggle that is amazing news. When anxiety becomes your default setting it is hard to turn it off, but that must be a massive relief to be given the all clear.

My scan was fine - my T21 risk wasn't that low so they've offered me the Harmony test, but the risk was still adjusted down relative to my age and is now less that 1 in 200, so not really a worry. Does feel strange for things to be going smoothly!

Starting to break the news to family although they had pretty much guessed already from my not drinking and being sick last time we saw them.

onecrazycook · 04/10/2016 15:39

Ok, so something weird has happened. I had to go for a Rescan today after over a week of pain and bleeding and mourning my lost baby. I even believed I'd passed the sac this morning when I found a jelly-like grey blob.

Strangely, at the scan the sac has grown and and after nothing being seen on the original scan a week ago, we now have a foetus measuring 6wks 4days. I should be 11weeks according to my BFP and last period.

The sonographer saw a heartbeat briefly then couldn't find it again. We saw it for a second time for a tiny moment and then it was gone. I need another scan next week to see if it really is still a viable pregnancy or not.

I'm not getter my hopes up too high but here's the scan

Celen · 04/10/2016 16:04

Oh my god one what a rollercoaster of a ride! Shock

I did recently come across something about falling pregnant while being pregnant so it's not out of the realms of the impossible - I'll see if I can find the article?

But did the sonographer mention anything, e.g. possibility of twins perhaps?
