Bunged up here too. I had a bathroom experience the other day that made me long for labour pains. The tablets I'm on for my sickness slow things down too, so it's even worse since I started them. Lactulose isn't doing much, except make me windy, but Laxido helped.

13 weeks today, and Ovia has failed me. Last week baby was a small laduree macaron, this week it is a large laduree macaron. Very unoriginal.

Still thinking about you eco hope you managed to get some sleep.

MonkeyArms · 02/10/2016 09:02

Talking about bowels.... at 14 weeks mine have just become super regular again. And all the weight and baby bump that I thought I'd developed has gone. I weighed myself this morning and I weigh 0.3kgs more than I did when i got pregnant. Being positive I hope it is the lack of beer, wine and snacking chorizo and entire camemberts that used to disappear out the fridge when OH wasn't looking are making me healthier. But a bit worried that I am starving my child. I have been listening to my body and just eating when I am hungry. Experienced mums - is this enough or do you have to consciously eat more...?

MrsRhubarb · 02/10/2016 09:07

Monkey don't worry about it, if mine is still growing nicely despite making me thrown up everything I ate for six weeks then you will be just fine. I didn't put on much weight in my first pregnancy, and it probably didn't really start to increase until well into the second trimester. "Eating for two" is a myth (sadly) I think you only actually need something like an extra 300-500 calories a day by the third trimester. We all have plenty of access to good food, so it isn't a problem like it could be for women in other parts of the world.

Number4OnTheWay · 02/10/2016 09:21

Good morning! I'm back from the land of America and I am so ill :( the midwife thinks I picked up a bug on the plane, I haven't stopped throwing up yet. I'm going to catch up with all of you, hope everyone is well xx

Helbelle75 · 02/10/2016 09:24

I"m 12+5 monkey and haven't put anything on yet even though I'm eating loads. It's all healthy stuff though so I guess that's what makes the difference. Much to my disappointment, I can't seem to stomach sweet stuff :-(

Celen · 02/10/2016 09:27

Oh no Number4 Sad

MonkeyArms · 02/10/2016 09:30

Thanks for the reassurance!

You poor thing number4! Sounds grim. hope you feel better soon.

I am not a fan of people bravely coming into work full of cold at the best of times, but really hate them now. Two of my colleagues got the uncontrollable giggles last week when one of the martyrs came into our office with a hanky sniffing and retreated out without anyone saying a word under the withering glare that I apparently had on my face....

SharkBastard · 02/10/2016 12:04

Hell I'm the same! Managed to get out today into town and I stupidly had a pumpkin spiced latte which just made me feel like shit! I had a cornish pastie though as I NEEDED savory! I am not into sweet at all, turns my stomach

Number4 you poor sod, plenty of rest and water for you! Hopefully the bug will bugger off soon, horrible things :(

I've been super regular, which has surprised me, but I am super windy which isn't nice and can be quite uncomfortable.

Only 9 days till first scan...AGES AWAY

ecofreckle · 02/10/2016 13:55

I headed to an out of area epu this morning because bleeding continued and got slightly crampy. Nurses were so perfunctory. Anyhow, after a wait of two hours with three year old in tow they took bloods and did a vile internal after which they agreed there was bleeding. No shit. They also said that my cervix was at that time closed....not to say that won't change. They're trying to book me for scan tomorrow or Tuesday, along with anti D because of my blood type. What with two day sustained red blood loss, cramping and some small clots I should probably call this thread a day so I'm not hanging around with my doom chat. I guess I won't know for sure technically until scan though. Waiting. It's unbearable. Inhumane to not scan in the circumstances. That's what it feels like right now at least.

Now sat in lovely sunshine in garden though and that's nice. Thanks for all your kind wishes. Sorry I'm on such a downerw

jpeg28 · 02/10/2016 14:00

eco I'm so sorry you're going through this. I can't believe they didn't scan you. I have everything crossed and I'll be thinking of you. Flowers

Oh no Number4 being pregnant and ill sounds horrible... hope it goes away really quickly!

Monkey I'm 11+3 so not as far along as you but I've only put on 1lb... I look fatter than that tho! Sadly I haven't stuck to just healthy things, I had 2 massive cookies yesterday and a wispa! So I need to start feeding my baby some healthy snacks instead of bad ones!

I haven't got dressed today!! OH said in 6 months we will never be able to sit all day in our pjs so we should make the most of it! I feel so lazy!

Wheelerdeeler · 02/10/2016 14:07

Hi everyone. I'm 10 +2 so due end April. Had scan 8 weeks and saw heartbeat. Appt tmw but I'm still very anxious. I had terrible sickness last week but it's ok again? Which is a bit worrying. I have an 8 year old son. Dying to tell him but will wait another few days.

SharkBastard · 02/10/2016 14:11

eco I'm so sorry you're having such a shit time, shocked they didn't scan you! What on earth are they doing?

ecofreckle · 02/10/2016 14:17

Bedford have no scan team over weekend. Stevenage have one on Sunday morning ten til twelve only. After my two hour wait they had gone home. Rubbish. Everyone's entitled to a break though. Sat in garden crying whilst DH takes DD to park. It sucks but keen not to worry her more after a weekend of being stuck in docs and hospitals.

Celen · 02/10/2016 14:35

I'm so sorry that you don't have a clearer picture of what's going on eco Sad What's the point of an EPU if they didn't scan?? Angry Really quite cross on your behalf x

SharkBastard · 02/10/2016 14:39

I'm with lister...didn't know the EPU is so restricted on a Sunday! Will you go to Bedford for the scan next week?

Bloody awful waiting

MyGreenSofa · 02/10/2016 15:19

Eco - so sorry to hear you're going through this. I agree it's inhumane not to scan in the circumstances. I think these facilities should be available all the time, it isn't like things only happen 9-5 Mon-Fri! Sending unmumsnetty hugs!

Bubbinsmakesthree · 02/10/2016 15:43

Eco - sorry you're going through this. We're here for the bad and the good and as long as you need us xx

MumiTravels · 02/10/2016 15:54

Our EPU is only Mon to Fri too. Lots of hugs and hope you get seen tomorrow CakeBrew

I had the shift from hell last night. 4 patients died Sad, one of which involved CPR on an 80 year old. I didn't know whether I wanted to vomit or pass out on the way home. One shift left tonight, anything got to be better than last night.

RaRa25 · 02/10/2016 16:02

eco so sorry, I have everything crossed for you.

Mumi I have no idea how you do your job under normal circumstances, never mind pregnant, hats off to you.

naranciata · 02/10/2016 17:14

I'm having a horrible day. Flew home on Friday for a couple of days with DH and a wedding which would have been lovely had I not spent most of it vomiting and simultaneously trying not to let people know I was pregnant.

Today flew back to France where I'm working at the moment. The woman next to me on the plane was the grumpiest bitch ever. I was sick on the plane (luckily made it to the loo) but then grumpy bitch had to put up with my gross sick smell the rest of the flight which I am claiming as a small victory. Arrived back in France to be greeted by a two hour queue for passport controls and no toilets. Had a little cry. Now back in my apartment and feeling sad and missing DH and am starving. No food in and no shops open because France just closes down on a Sunday. Argh. I hate everything.

Celen · 02/10/2016 17:27

Oh naranciata that really does sound quite rubbish - do you even have cereal or crackers or anything?

MumiTravels · 02/10/2016 18:10

Nobody knows I'm pregnant either apart from manager who obviously isn't there by night. Once the adrenaline had left my system this morning I felt really unwell. Woke up this afternoon still feeling unwell.

I'll be 12 weeks next Saturday then scan a few days after so hopefully I can be more open then and take some of the pressure of myself.

choccybiscuit · 02/10/2016 19:21

Hats off to you mumiI hope tonight's quiet for you.
naranciata I hope tomorrow's a better day for you.
eco I hope your feeling better. It's awful being in limbo.
My dd1 called me in tears today, she's been at uni for 3 weeks and want to leave. She's not enjoying the course at all. I think it was a bit of a shock to the system. Let's hope tomorrow's a better day for us all!

naranciata · 02/10/2016 20:17

I dragged myself to the corner shop which was actually open today for pasta and pesto. One more week of living away from DH and then I am going home and never leaving the sofa. (Well, in my mind that's what I'm doing)

everdene · 02/10/2016 20:54

I had my scan today!

It was crazy to see its little arms and legs waving around, and it was swallowing and stretching around.

The sonographer has moved my date forward by a couple of days so I'm 13 weeks today, now due on April 9.
