I keep checking back to see of there is any new eco, I really hope everything is okay x

MrsRhubarb · 01/10/2016 15:26

Oh for some reason when I refreshed it didn't show your update! Definitely take it easy, I have been doing to last couple of days. So fustrating you have to wait until Monday Sad

MumiTravels · 01/10/2016 16:26

Wow lots of actual baby looking babies Grin

I'm nights all weekend again. I've got such a sore throat though, still run down and can't swallow. Going to get some icecream on way to work I think.

Celen · 01/10/2016 17:45

For the first time in 9 weeks, I've cooked and enjoyed eating a proper full meal (as opposed to super noodles, toast, etc). Think (at 14 weeks) the nausea is finally abating, yay! Grin

#Winning

However - a new symptom...anyone else a bit, umm, blocked up Blush? Never had this before so not sure how to deal with it? I already eat lots of fruit, shall I start eating All-bran?! Hmm

MumiTravels · 01/10/2016 18:00

I had a fishcake sandwich Grin

As for the blockage, dried fruit and nuts, prunes, plenty of water. Fresh orange juice. A night shift

LoraTheExplorer · 01/10/2016 18:05

First time posting on this thread (although I've been reading a few weeks!). I love all the scan pics - I can't wait for mine!

This might be a silly question but is it ok to have a bath? I was told not to in the 2ww by my IVF clinic and it's just been too hot since then to really want a bath but now it's getting colder I'd love a good soak... will the hot temperature harm the baby? I'm 11 weeks.

I'm still vomiting daily Sad

MumiTravels · 01/10/2016 18:14

I'm 11 weeks and sat in the bath posting this Grin I've never heard of not having a bath. At 11 weeks your cervix should be closed and as long as it's not a 45 degree bath you should be fine..

MyGreenSofa · 01/10/2016 18:23

Yes, as Mumi said, as long as it's not extremely hot then baths are fine! I especially loved a bath in my last pregnancy once I started to feel her move as that's when she was most wriggly!

SharkBastard · 01/10/2016 18:36

Yes to baths! As long as it's not too hot. I find that they can help my nausea.

Today has been a very bad day for sickness here. Haven't been able to get out of bed Sad

Celen · 01/10/2016 18:41

Sad SharkBastard

jobrum · 01/10/2016 19:58

Ooooh, my dh is out and I am considering a bath tonight. With a hot chocolate.

celen water, plenty of fruit, veg (says the woman who feels sick at the thought of vegetables) but last pg I had to resort to daily Fybogel and a laxative. The progrsterone slows everything down and your bowels are also getting squished by a growing uterus. Ah, pregnancy!

eco hope you're feeling ok. Good you could get everything sorted so quickly at least.

Celen · 01/10/2016 20:16

jobrum are laxatives safe in pregnancy? I'm so wary of everything Confused

LoraTheExplorer · 01/10/2016 20:26

Shark oh gosh that sounds miserable, I hope you are beginning to feel better. I feel nauseous all day but at least I'm only actually sick in the mornings.

Jobrum do it! With hot chocolate sounds fab too!

Thanks for the advice regarding the baths! Just finished watching Strictly and running myself one now Smile

MonkeyArms · 01/10/2016 21:16

So sorry you are going through this worry eco. Please don't blame yourself and keep posting here if it helps xxx fingers crossed that all is ok. Why does bleeding always seem to happen when the epu is closed?!

LotsaTuddles · 01/10/2016 21:40

Today was a good day sickness wise .... until I had some hot chocolate then EVERYTHING came back up Sad

I'm having the same issue Celen. I had a poo earlier that caused a fissure (sorry TMI)

Also another shout out for those that wanted Facebook group. PM either me or Chat with your email address and we'll add you

jobrum · 01/10/2016 22:33

celen I mentioned it to the midwife and she said most laxatives are safe and get a prescription from gp. I had a look on the nhs website then just bought some from the supermarket. Just had a quick look: www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Constipation/Pages/Treatment.aspx Bisacodyl sounds like what I went for. I was about 16 weeks and actually had a colleague pat my "bump", I was friendly enough with her to say it was poo, not baby Grin!

Bubbinsmakesthree · 02/10/2016 02:12

Hope all is OK ecofreckle - so worrying! Even red bleeding is quite common though apparently, so hopefully it is nothing (I'd still panic though if it were me, it's only natural!)

Last night of our holiday, we went out for a meal and I had a pork dish which was served a bit rare. Pretty sure it was supposed to be served rare (though didn't realise when I ordered it). I ate a bit and left the rarest part, but now kicking myself for eating any of it (not helped by the fact I've woken up a few hours later feeling really sick). I've been so good all week avoiding the cheese and ham, annoyed to have slipped up on our final meal!

MumiTravels · 02/10/2016 04:48

Get the laxatives down you girls. I take Senna or movicol as needed. Lactulose makes me very windy. Bisacodyl gives me awful cramps and gripes.

I'm on night 2 of 3 and very tired. Can't wait to get into bed today. Missing my DS1 terribly though. Roll on Monday.

Celen · 02/10/2016 06:51

Ahhh thanks girls, I'll get some today!

Lotsa, I think I caused a bit of bleeding this morning trying to go (I know it's weird to be saying this but at least I hope the blood came from my bottom rather than anywhere else Hmm)

eco how are things this morning?

ChatEnOeuf · 02/10/2016 07:17

Hope things are settling down, Eco and it turns out to be nothing.

Shout out to the sickly ones - sucking a Haribo Fangtastic helped mine down for about 20 minutes yesterday! Amazing what the tea trolly can teach you Grin. I managed to eat a normal-sized evening meal yesterday as well, which would be the first time in about six weeks.

I love a hot bath, it's been a real conscious effort to reduce the temperature so I don't boil the baby...which I'm sure I wouldn't, but you never know. Not too hot and not too long.

Helbelle75 · 02/10/2016 08:17

I had terrible piles inn my first pregnancy, along with constipation. It was horrendous. I read somewhere that putting your feet up on something ( i used the bathroom bin!) when you're trying to go really helps. It did - so there's my advice!
12+5 today, feeling not too bad, just tired.

finova · 02/10/2016 08:27

I was given lactulose post birth and it's fab stuff! 13 weeks today for me.
I'm loving warm baths too, just not as scorching as I might usually have.
Hope you're okay Eco.

jpeg28 · 02/10/2016 08:36

Just catching up after being away...

So many amazing scans!

MrsR so glad the bleeding has stopped. Fingers x it will be plain sailing from now!!

eco hope you're doing ok... a bright red bleed that turns brown sounds ok... I bet you're super worried tho. I hope the EPU see you just to put your mind at ease!

Sorry to everyone who is still sick... im 11+3 today and I think the nausea is gone!!! Still exhausted but feeling so much more normal!

Hello to everyone new!
